20 000 posts in the IC section

It is not that common for play by posts to get this many IC posts or last this long. I have been a part of a few, but far more die of quickly than last. I am glad this one have lasted.

This, is in fact the oldest surviving pbp game I know of.

1,100 days after the Great One filled in the form to launch the site...

I was a part of a Dune play by post that lasted for ten years, it might still be going I was a part of it for ten years when I quit. I was also part of the Foxcort Ars Magica campaign which lasted for years but most of them do not last all that long. But yes over 1000 days is not bad. I am glad this game have lasted though I am having fun with it.

I think I have the most posts on this site than on any other site combined. It's been a lot of fun. Hopefully we can hit 30,000

I think I had over 10 000 posts at Roleplayers Guild before it shut down but that was spread over several games most of them did not last very long, though I did run a Transformers game that lasted for over two years.

Well... after I left a long-running pbp game just over two years ago, and between then and here I joined eight other pbp games which all folded somewhere between creation and the first IC day/night. [That is, eight I remember. Could actually be more!]

As I said before, I only found this place when I'd given up looking for games for a bit...

Well, let's try to hit the 30K mark on May 24th, 2019, then, shall we?

That would require a general 'IC post rate per day' to increase from ~18.3 to ~27.5.

This is theoretically possible, as both numbers would have 'post per character/per day' around 4.5 [the former being a four, while now we're six].

However, I feel this may be too much to ask from the Great One, as their workload has increased by some ~60% as it is...

Yeah for every long running one I have joined there are allot that only lasts for a few weeks if that. All games require some dedication, and many seam to have a problem giving that dedication to a play by post game. I am glad you found this game though and I hope you are having fun.

Well that would be allot of posts. I am more concerned with everytone having fun that post count though but let us hope that by that time we are well into the second story of the campaign.

"I try to get at least five IC posts in per day, though off course it depends on the length of the posts, some posts might take an hour to write and then I can not do five of those and some take under a minute and those I can do allot of. I settle on trying to be active.

Meant that not to be any slight or complaint on your skills, Great One; you're the most attentive ST I've come across to date. Merely that there is a physical limit of how many times an ST can respond; I know from experience that sometimes a post can take up gobs of time [particularly if a player[s] have taken an option you've not anticipated]. Plus, you're allowed to have a RL too!

Oh not at all I took it as concern for me rather than any insult. I do have things I need to do beside roleplaying so five players and the current post rate, with some ebb and flow to it are about what I can handle. That is why I have not searched for more players for if I where to have more that at most one more player to the game I think I would need a secondary ST as well to handle some of the replies.

Of one mind on this, we are: I have a ST:PC ratio no higher than 1:5 - for I don't feel I have enough time or energy to do any more than this.

I tend to prefer not to have more than five players per game it be online or offline that way I have enough time to devote to each player.
