Alessa nodded.
"Yes we should, if you are coming with me, I could use some back up just in case the thing that sliced open the rat like a fish for dinner also have a thing for spiders."
She said with a wry grin.
"If Coawa can hold down the fort here then and watch over Paula while we are gone?"
She asked and Coawa nodded.
"I will take her swimming."
He said and smiled.

Tane:

"Silver? Now that is nasty for Rokea, what kind of trouble did you two get yourself into?"
Alessa asked as she got her car keys. Coawa just grumbled at that.
"We ran into some Qyrl...Wyrm tainted mage assholes and one of them decided to be cute."
He replied and the Ananasi nodded.
"I see, well both of you survived it seams, are you ok Coawa?"
She asked and he nodded.
"Yeah I will be fine after a swim."
He said then he looked at the sleeping girl on the floor.
"It is tempting to just pick her up and throw her in."
He said with a big grin.

Tane:

"Hum...mages can be irritating to deal with, if you catch them by surprise then they are weak as kittens but give the bastards time to cast magick and you are in trouble, at least that is what my Brood Mother always said."
Aloessa muttered.
"Ehm...sorry."
She said and gave you an apologetic look.

Coawa gave you a grin but he only went over to Paula and gave her shoulder a gentle nudge.
"Do you want to go swimming?"
He asked her and she opened her eyes and said in that strange slurred speech unused to human words simply.
"Yes..."
Coawa turned to you for a moment.
"Alright then I will take care of her."

AM i irritating? Tane asked the italian girl with a "poor me" look in his face.

"Well no you are not irritating Tane...but fighting mages are, your powers are all over the place you never know what to expect."
Alessa said with a small smile.

Good, well, in any case we're leaving. i'm calling if something happens.

Coawa nodded to that as he held down an hand to help Paula get to her feet.
"Ok...stay safe both of you."
He said. Alessa gave the Rokea a smile then headed for the door.
"Coming Tane?"

Yeah let's go. He said gripping his sword. That night he'd have to charge the sword again, want it or no.

Tane:

Alessa lead the way to her car, a black Mercedes and gets into the driver's seat, one thing was for sure that car would attract attention in a poor trailer park neighborhood, attention you might not want.
"You never told me what the deal is with that sword of yours Tane it looks old, very old and I get this strange feeling from it."
She asked as she got ready to drive out of the dock area.

Tane:

"No you are right, taking this car is not the best idea, it will attract attention but it is the only car I have and any rental service are likely to be closed at this time of night, so do you have a better idea Tane?"
Alessa said and glanced at the Dreamspeaker.
"A spirit sword? Well that would explain why I feel it there, very interesting. Well it is a beautiful blade."
The Ananasi said politely.

Tane:

Maybe taking the bus or a cab? He said, shrugging

"Take the bus?"
Alessa said as if the thought had never occurred to her, she was well to do, as much could be seen from her fine clothes and her car and she had expensive tastes, public transportation was not one of them.
"I guess we could call a cab."
She muttered and fished her cell phone out of her purse.

It is. And it sure has a tune that's unike anything here. I don't know if there are a lot of swords like it.

"I am afraid I do not hear any tunes around it, but it is well made and seam to be a good blade and no, I doubt you will find many that are like it indeed."
The Ananasi said and nodded as she dialed a number on her phone and begun to order a cab.
"Yes I would like to order a cab...yes from the shellfish bar on the docks, yes...my name..."
Alessa flipped through several credit cards with fake names that she had in her purse.
"Josefina Perry, yes party of two...I am visiting an aunt outside of the city at Jerry's trailer park...hum...five minutes...yes that will be fine...goodbye."
Alessa hung up then she said.
"Let us walk over to the seafood place then, a cab will come and pick us up, I felt it best though not to spread my name to much around town, not at Alessa is registered anywhere official either, it is just a name I like, I do not have a given name as I was hatched a spiderling, me my ister and dozens of others..."
She muttered both angry and sad at her sister's betrayal.

Tane:

You walk the short distance to the seafood restaurant, a fairly high end place that smelled of shellfish and spices as you stand waiting for your ride. You see a young couple enter the restaurant and a middle aged man in a suit leaves as you stand waiting. Soon the cab show up and a friendly looking man in his late twenties with blue eyes and dark brown hair smiles to you and Alessa as you get into the car.
"Good evening, where can I take you?"
He asks. Alessa tells the man the destination and then you are on your way.

Soon you arrive at a a trailer park outside of the city limits, between Boston and the shrouding suburbia. The place is not terribly run down but it is generally not rich people who choose to live in a trailer, generally it was those who could not afford better. There are row after row of trailers, some of them with plank outbuildings, old cars stand parked where there is room and clothing lines run between the trailers some of them with laundry hanging from them.
"It is this way."
Alessa says and points.

Alessa nodded and lead the way through the trailer park, you see two young women out walking and another woman out walking her little brown dog, there is a feeling of hopelessness about this place though, stagnation. You get to a gray trailer that had police tape covering the doors.
"This is where the rat lived."
The Ananasi announced. Suddenly you hear someone rummaging around inside of the trailer. Alessa immediately get alert and put her hand in her purse and looks at you.
"Someone is in there."
She muttered.

Tane:

Alessa gave you a look when you told her to get behind you, she knew how to fight and protect herself but she obeyed, there was no time to argue about it.
"Be careful."
She muttered. As you join with the sword and feel it's spiritual powers the decay and despair around you feel even worse, it is as if the spirit of the trailer park where weeping for the people living their lives in poverty here.

You open the door to the trailer ducking under the police tape, it was not locked, you see a young woman with hair so blond it looked white stand by a table going through papers, the trailer itself was a mess, there where old tin cans that had contained beans on the counter and several dishes in need of washing, the table was filled with a notebook and several papers and the thin, white haired girl was going through it, when she sees you though she give a yelp of surprise and where a skinny young woman had stood moments before there where now a small, white rat, the type with fluffy fur that where sold in pet shops and the tiny animal tried to rush past you out of the trailer.

Tane:

The little white rat stopped as you spoke to her and she hesitated for a moment, frightened she chittered at you for a while then ran retook human form though she sort of skirted away from you, clearly not sure if she could trust you and Alessa.
"You know who killed Bobby...?"
She asked softly, she was pretty in her human form, small with a cute face and blue eyes and all of that white hair.
"Who did it?"
She demanded.

We are hunting her sister Tane pointed alessa with his head. Your friend Bobby was selling her info about her sister, and we belive she might have found out and killed him. We're almost certain.

"Her sister?"
The white haired girl asked and Alessa nodded.
"Yes either her or someone who work for or with her, it is to much of a coincidence not to be related."
The Ananasi said the little wererat though did not seam convinced yet.

Maybe we can join forces to take that assasin down. he said, giving out a hand, slowly. I'm Tane, a Human Mortal Mage. She's Alessa, Ananassi. What would be your name?

"Mage...you...are one of the humans who can see spirits?"
The white haired girl asked she did not reach for your hand but neither did she flee, she was clearly skittish though.
"And and...an Ananasi...why would Bobby deal with one of her kind? Her kind and mine are not friends, though I guess her money is as green as anyone else's"
She muttered she gave you a nervous look.
"The little girl that kept me as a pet before I became what I am called med Strawberry...it is the only name I know."
She whispered nervously.

not all of us see spirit, but i myself am a healer of spirits and souls, yes.

"O...ok I do not know anything about you safe Bobby said that you could do all sort of odd things and could see spirits."
Strawberry said nervously.

Okay Strawberry. We came here to find out how he was killed. Could you tell us?

"I do...not know, I belong to no colony or pack, Bobby took care of me, me was my friend, all I know is that I heard him keen, it is something we can do when in danger, and others of our kind can hear it but when I got here he was already dead."
Strawberry said and tears welled up in her eyes.

Strawberry looked up at you tears still streaming down her pale face.
"There are many others...but they do not like me, I am not like them. The plague came to me while I was a pampered pet, I was not born on the streets and I do not mind humans...so I live apart from my own kind so yes I am alone."
She muttered sadly and more tears rolled down her cheeks.
"What will help Bobby then? He is dead..."
She whimpered.

Tane:

Umm... he looked at Alessa Can we bring her in? can i start a were-zoo? Asked Tane to Alessa, jokingly but seriously thinking about if he should take the little rat in.

"We do not know her, then again you do not know me and you took me in Tane."
Alessa muttered
"We might get some useful information out of here and she might get killed out here, all I know though is that her kind do not like my kind, not one bit."
She said in a warning tone of voice.
"Then again no one really likes Ananasi so that is nothing new."

Maybe not more people getting killed like him would. you being safe maybe would

"I have nothing against bringing her home I have no idea how rats go with Rokea though. Oh and I am not so sure they would be amused by the zoo comment."
She muttered.

Ummm ok, Strawberry? If you need a place to stay, or to be hidden or if you need to get some help, you can ask me. I got a lot more of beings that are staying at my house, like a refuge.

"Do you got any food at that place?"
Strawberry asked and looked at you, she still seamed rather nervous but at least she was not running away and she seamed to be intrigued by your offer.
"Finding shelter is not that hard I am small I can hide anywhere but food is harder to find."

We are looking for the same perdón that killed Bobby so maybe we could help each other too

Strawberry's eyes darkened for a moment and then she looked sad.
"I want the guy who killed Bobby to pay for it."
She muttered.
"He was a good guy, he helped me...ok Mister...I will help you find that guy...ehm...I still want food though."
The little Ratkin said and smiled.

We have, little one. Ok, first of all let's check this placer, alright? he said and started looking for a place to start looking into

"Very well we should search and see what we find then and then food."
She agreed.

Tane:

You have a look at the trailer, there is a bed in a back section beside the bed on a small table there where a book on motorcycle repair, there is a family picture with allot of kids on the wall, and a two year old bikini calendar. The bathroom, a tiny little closet are rather dirty and the kitchen are full of canned food. There is a small flat screen on the wall in the living room section and allot of papers all over the table that Strawberry had been going through, but you do not really find anything of particular interest.
"Hum...his computer is not here, though I guess the police might have taken it and there are not phone either."
Alessa commented.
"Yeah there are a few things missing..."
Strawberry muttered.

"I can call my contact and see if I can find out if the police have his computer and phone."
Alessa said and pulled her phone out of her expensive leather purse.
"In the meantime if you could check the spirit world just to see if there is anything out of the ordinary?"
She asked as she dial her contact's number.

Tane:

You see the trailer in a new light there where dirt everywhere but not corruption, it was more that the man who lived here did not care much about hygiene, there was a healthy chaos as the Ratkin was creatures of Dynamism. You see the spot where he died, a ugly black stain on the floor where there lay a silver knife, all Umbral representations. On the kitchen counter you see a terrified looking spirit that crawled more into a corner and tried to hide when it noticed you looking at it, the spirit was humanoid of shape but looked like it was made completely of old leaves and dirt, like a living compost heap.
