I just wanted to let you know I will try to reply to the IC thread later. My cat Maude just died and I have not been able to focus yet. I am sorry for the delay.

Poor old girl, I suppose it was to be expected at her age, but it sucks, all the same.

Thank you all. It was expected that eventually her health would fail, she was a elderly cat, she would have turned 18 in a few days, and she had a heart condition but what happened was not expected. Maude had been drooling a bit and having her mouth open allot over the last week or so, so we took her to the vet to see if she had a bad tooth that had to come out, that is what the vet originally thought it was as well, that or a cold, but when she exmained Maude she found a fast growing tumor in the back of her mouth, the vet said is was a wonder she was not already dead and thought it would be unlikely she would see Monday and then she would suffucate, we could not let that happen, from the first consulation at 8 in the morning and the final one at 14 the tumor had moved, we did the only thing we could. But she was old and had a good life and up until yesterday she was active, going outside, washing herself and being happy so in a way we where lucky not to have dismissed it as a cold and had her die horribly in a few days, at least now she got a shot with painkiller so she was herself for a few more hours so we could play with her and pet her, and then she died humanely. She was a beautiful cat, a little Empress, and in a way it is a comfort that she was older than many cats get and she lived well until the last day but she have also been a part of my life my entire adult life and I am really going to miss her.
