I played a tech priest in Dark Herasy once who had been raised by machines, her entire family had been killed by xenos when she was an infant so the family servitors had taken care of her, she thought she was a machine and actedlike one with no feelings what so ever.

Well the best characters are the ones that are fun to pla and that are made to feel like a real person.
