[Steelhaven]

"kk. Np" he sent back.

'Ty.'

Getting there you saw Shawn together with Kyle and Helena's young apprentice head for the common room. Helena raised a somewhat displeased look at this.
"The vampire was safe right brother."
She whispered to Adley worried about her apprentice spending time near such a creature. Kyle gave a wave to Adley a smile to Helena and a slight bow to Nicole as he regarded Lita but he did not comment. Shawn quickly hid behind Kyle nervous at so many people at once.

"So I have been told, but I don't think he's supposed to leave his room without an escort for the moment but I could be mistaken. Everything has not been legally hammered out yet I don't think. I should go check on this and make sure. Would you please go with my cabalmate to escort and situate her in her own compartment, not with another, until she is met by our other cabalmates?" he asked Nicole and Helena. Then to his sora, "Let me know when you're free again, to complete what we were supposed to do before."

[Jeffry's Office]
Anja wrote:"Yes the new wards did knock out most old spells in the Chantry, my apologies but it was necessary."
Jeffry said apologetically then he frowned.
"Yes that might be a considerably concern, that the Nephandi will try to take revenge and indeed your employee might be in danger indeed, hopefully she can be kept safe."
He replied with a nod.
Colin nodded, "Quite understandable; we don't have a full knowledge of what was and what was not compromised, so a nuke-and-pave approach is probably the best bet in any case..."
He chuckled, "And I suppose fishing for a Union security detail for Miss Jones might be a bit much, but they would probably be great at keeping her safe from hostile supernaturals. Would be a bit close to home, though..."

Anja wrote:"I trust what you are saying and the young man is certainly a gentle soul though at time his childishness worry me. I never met Master Akrites, he had gone into seclusion long before I was born but from reading his works yes he might...be similar. As for my young Cabalmate yes he to is a gentle soul and I worry at times that this world will hurt him."
The war mage said with a frown.
He sighed, "The world will very much try to hurt them, so it falls to us to protect our Cabalmates as best we can."

Anja wrote:"I should read such rapports gathered at Dr Hadermann's request only if the good doctor consents to it. But yes the young lady's social skills is somewhat lacking...but so far she have served the Chantry well I fear she will get into contact with a Master of the Art one day who will take action on her insolence."
The old Hermetic said with a worried frown.
He nodded, "Very well, and to be honest, I have seriously considered dropping her off halfway to Horizon to meditate on her... shortcomings. Perhaps with a few textbooks or the like concerning history, politics, et cetera..."

Anja wrote:"That is true. And the cocoa you speak of might indeed be something I would enjoy very much."
He said with a smile.
He nodded, "I'll see about getting you a tin of it, then."

Anja wrote:"That do sound like a loved piece for Lady Dalisse's Tass indeed."
Jeffry agreed with a nod.
He smiled, "And Anna will borrow it for her own wedding day. Of course, she will outshine any jewelry by magnitudes, but I may be biased as her silly old dad."

Anja wrote:"Well if the girl herself do not consent to live after...the ritual I am not sure there is much point in forcing her but I can ask Mr Gregario to speak with her, talk her into it and also ask a powerful hedge wizard like Miss Day to sit down with her and see if she can get the girl interested in pursuing such arts."
The old Flambeau said with a frown.
"If she is willing to try to learn linear magic I can pull some strings and get her a skilled and yet kind and doting Mentor who will care for her."
He nodded, "Last time around, her Mentor was Maria Lupa, of House Mercere. If she'll take that route this time around... Well, we can hope."

Anja wrote:"I believe the other one might cause a stir, she is not a Paradox spirit herself but is associated with one so the residents will feel that connection, the chronicler might look dangerous but I do think he would be a good messenger."
The old Hermetic replied.
"But it is up to you Mr Wainwright. And the Tass is yours to use as you see fit."
He nodded, "On the other hand, the presence of a spirit of Time associated with the old man might serve as a better deterrent, even without direct action. Hell, I might ask both, come to think of it..."

Anja wrote:"Such is quite understandable Mr Wainwright and I would probably had done the same in Teomim's place."
The old Hermetic agreed.
"And yes warn the vampire if his heritage become known many would not hesitate to kill him and then take the punishment that comes with destroying another mage's Custos."
He nodded and frowned, "Custos... and family, a few steps removed... I'll give it a few days before I take it to a vote in the Cabal, though - I rather expect the majority to vote to keep him together, but in the interim... Well, I'll have him under my name until then. Is there a document I should sign for that?"
He thought for a moment, "Oh, yes, I suppose I should have another examination someday soon, too - I just got the hang of playing with light, sound, and kinetic energy. But there's no rush."

This made Shawn start crying, large, blood tears rolled down his pale cheeks.
"I am sorry Sir, Mr Yager said I could go...I did not mean to do anything wrong...I am so sorry please dont punish me...please don't punish me!"
He went hysterically. Stephen took a few steps away from, the vampire but Kyle gently put a hand on his shoulder.
"No one is going to harm you Shawn...why don't I show you back to your room and we will sort all of this out."
He said gently. Shawn still cried though.

Helena looked at the crying vampire, then at the pawn and then to you and nodded.
"Yes brother, as soon as I have helped get our guest to a room I should be free, if you let our pater know we have taken her down to the basement I should be back when you are done."
She said. Lita looked at Shawn and smiled to him.
"It do not look like they would hurt you vampire boy, they have not hurt me and I am with the Nephandi."

[Jeffry's Office]

Colin nodded, "Quite understandable; we don't have a full knowledge of what was and what was not compromised, so a nuke-and-pave approach is probably the best bet in any case..."
He chuckled, "And I suppose fishing for a Union security detail for Miss Jones might be a bit much, but they would probably be great at keeping her safe from hostile supernaturals. Would be a bit close to home, though..."

"It was hard to know what had be compromised, if you lost considerable amount of spent Quintessence when the Aegis went up I will make sure you and anyone else who was affected by the ward are compensated though it might have to be over a few months to make sure we have some sores on hand in case of an emergency."
Jeffry said then he soured.
"No we will not involve the Union, not that I quite get how you would do such a thing in the first place. However I can help you with making a deal with a powerful spirit to keep an eye on the woman, she would not see it but it would be a silent guardian. In fact I might bring my apprentice in on it, Adley need to get more used to making deals with spirits."

He sighed, "The world will very much try to hurt them, so it falls to us to protect our Cabalmates as best we can."

"Yes very much so, and I admit to being scared for Narim now that Jace want his soul, however the foul spirit will not get it, I can assure you of that."
Jeffry swore darkly and the temperature in the room raised a little.

He nodded, "Very well, and to be honest, I have seriously considered dropping her off halfway to Horizon to meditate on her... shortcomings. Perhaps with a few textbooks or the like concerning history, politics, et cetera..."

"Might do her some good...what I worry about is this scenario, she insult some Master of the Art who take her to a Tribunal, she is given making a public apology as a punishment, she refuse and things get...allot worse."
The old Hermetic said with a frown.
"Let us hope that do not happen."

He nodded, "I'll see about getting you a tin of it, then."

"I would be most grateful Mr Wainwright and I would off course cover the cost."
Jeffry said seaming quite pleased.

He smiled, "And Anna will borrow it for her own wedding day. Of course, she will outshine any jewelry by magnitudes, but I may be biased as her silly old dad."

"Ah...well I might not have children Mr Wainwright but I have apprentices and such pride id quite allowed and I am sure Anna will be a beautiful bride."
Jeffry said with a warm smile.
"Hum...she will be able to wear a brooch but then? That is good."

He nodded, "Last time around, her Mentor was Maria Lupa, of House Mercere. If she'll take that route this time around... Well, we can hope."

"Maria Lupa...I have met the woman, she delivers mail between Horizon and some of the other Horizon realms such as for example Cerberus, she is skilled and dependable. We will see what path Kira will choose, we can offer her both training as a Mercere, and as a hedge wizard if she will agree to it. I have one idea that might be able to save her Avatar as well, but I would have to confer with Mr Tolle about such a strategy."
Jeffry said with a deep frown.

He nodded, "On the other hand, the presence of a spirit of Time associated with the old man might serve as a better deterrent, even without direct action. Hell, I might ask both, come to think of it..."

"Well the choice is up to you."
Jeffry replied.

He nodded and frowned, "Custos... and family, a few steps removed... I'll give it a few days before I take it to a vote in the Cabal, though - I rather expect the majority to vote to keep him together, but in the interim... Well, I'll have him under my name until then. Is there a document I should sign for that?"

"Hum...yes one moment..."
Jeffry said and he stood and walked to his shelf, well more turned to it in the tiny room and found some paper from it. He handed you a form that said.
"I (Name and rank)
Hereby take (Name and rank)
As my Custos and give them protection in power of my membership of the Council of the Nine Mystic Traditions. I acknowledge that I sign this document in good faith and of my free will, and I acknowledge that by doing so (...) will be considered a part of my magickal resources and as such their actions are my actions. This contract will last until I declare it dissolved before three witnesses.

Though not legally needed I also declare that (...) wish to become a custos of his or her own free will, and that they are of sound mind.
Signed: "

As Jeffry handed over the paper he said.
"Have Master Steelhaven take a look at it if you wish to, if not I can get it filed for now."

He thought for a moment, "Oh, yes, I suppose I should have another examination someday soon, too - I just got the hang of playing with light, sound, and kinetic energy. But there's no rush."

"Ah congratulations Mr Wainwright, well if you can find a second witness we can do that now and I can fill in the paperwork and send it with the next Mercere that visit the Chantry."
Jeffry offered with a smile.

He seemed surprised at the sudden turn. "There is nothing to apologize for, you didn't do anything wrong. I just want to make sure we're all on the same page, alright? I was only going to check on if your status has been verified, and go from there. There is no punishment for that. I am just trying to keep us all safe."

"Yes brother, as soon as I have helped get our guest to a room I should be free, if you let our pater know we have taken her down to the basement I should be back when you are done."
She said.

"Thank you."

He sobbed. Kyle looked at you as he tried to comfort Shawn.
"No one is going to hurt you, come let us go back to your room...it was our fault really we found Shawn and Mr Yager and we asked if Shawn could go with us to the common room and Mr Yager said yes...it was us who asked."
Your brother told you.
"No one is getting hurt Shawn."
This seamed to calm the vampire a little though he still cried.

"Thank you."

Helena nodded at that and she glanced at Shawn and then at you.
"Do you have things well in hand here brother?"
She asked before she went with Nicole and the pawn to the basement.

Anja wrote:"Oh...I did not know that Sir."
Stephen said and he scratched his head.
"Well I do not think someone would get addicted but if they where worried that their product would do harm then I guess it was the responsible thing to do to take it down."
The boy replied.

"Well that's the official reason given. The rumored reason is cause he was receiving death threats and those stressed him out." Serge said with a chuckle.

Anja wrote:"That really sucks I mean 28 years seams rather reasonable, then the original author can earn on their creation but you do not need to have all their descendants for generations doing so as well that is just greedy."
The young Hermetic complained.
"The Syndicate are assholes."

"Yeah. Money-grubbing, greedy assholes. Out of all the Union, the Syndicate are the worse in my eyes." Serge said with a flash of anger in his eyes that betrayed the manufactured calmness in his voice. "Shame they basically make all the shows I love. But I've learned to love the art and the artist and not the group behind it."

"Well Sir you can look at it this way, the Iteration X are more hell bent on killing all ehm...Reality Deviants so they are worse for us to deal with, however out of the five Conventions the Syndicate do the most harm to the world in general while the others at least try to help even if they don't really get it right."

"The internet." Serge said with a shrug, clearly thinking that the short answer explained everything. "It was likely all jokes but still stressed the creator out."

"People online are often assholes."
Stephen commented.
"But one should not give into the trolls."

"Yeah, they all suck in their own way." Serge said with a sigh.

The Flambeau apprentice said darkly.
"But one day they are going down...all of them!"

"No one is getting hurt," he agreed. "They just need to see if it alright with their parens and that all is in order. You did nothing wrong."

"Really? You are not going to hurt me Sir? I am sorry...I am so sorry...I did not mean to leave my room."
Shawn cried he was still clearly very scared.

"The room will not hold us all at once. And our new associate," he nodded to Lita, "Should be taken downstairs for the time being. However, why don't I just go clear this up quickly?"

"We should take her down to the basement then, find a empty room for her down there."
Helena agreed.

Think she has intel that he'd like to hear now. And he needs to have his position cleared up officially.' giving a nod towards the vampire. 'There's nothing stopping us filing in one by one dealing with the various issues...'

"Indeed so, Mr Yager should not have taken Shawn out of his room until he was told it was okey, but Shawn you have done no wrong, but we are concerned for your safety."
Helena said then she looked from Adley to Helena.
"We can ask our pater where he want the prisoner but if he have not asked us to bring her to him then it might be wise to take her to the basement first."
She commented.
"And he can see her at his leisure."

As Serge headed down the stairs and heard the familiar sounds of terror and crying, a mixture of guilt and fear fell over him as quickly walked over towards the source of the noise.

"What's going on?" he said as he approached, making sure to keep his tone soft and non-accusatory in order to prevent from upsetting Shawn even further.

"I was not allowed to leave my room. I did something wrong."
Kyle wept.
"I did not mean to...I did not mean to do anything wrong...please don't punish me, I did not mean to!"

Colin smiled thinly, "The Union bit was a joke - I would have thought you'd caught that one. Help with employing a guardian would be good, though. As for my ward - no, I didn't spend much Quintessence on it; scarcely any at all, in fact. I did spend a few hours on it, both the initial working and the occasional refresher, but it's about time I go through the design of it with Anna again, anyway, so no harm done."

Anja wrote:"Yes very much so, and I admit to being scared for Narim now that Jace want his soul, however the foul spirit will not get it, I can assure you of that."

Anja wrote:"Might do her some good...what I worry about is this scenario, she insult some Master of the Art who take her to a Tribunal, she is given making a public apology as a punishment, she refuse and things get...allot worse."

He frowned, "In the words of Madame Gottschalk, my Cabal has some discipline issues. I am going to be quite clear in my report to Dr. Hadermann and recommend remedial instruction, in particular concerning etiquette around Mystics."

Anja wrote:"I would be most grateful Mr Wainwright and I would off course cover the cost."
Jeffry said seaming quite pleased.
He grinned, "Let's just call it an early Christmas present - I've been unsure of what to get you anyway."

Anja wrote:"Ah...well I might not have children Mr Wainwright but I have apprentices and such pride id quite allowed and I am sure Anna will be a beautiful bride."
Jeffry said with a warm smile.
"Hum...she will be able to wear a brooch but then? That is good."
He nodded, "Well... I'll be making it with a rather thick pin; not so much of a tapered point at all. That will help, too, if only by increments. It will make it a little more finicky to push through fabric, especially if it's thick and fine-masked, but it will be far stronger than the conventional thin pins. And importantly, less scary."

Anja wrote:"Maria Lupa...I have met the woman, she delivers mail between Horizon and some of the other Horizon realms such as for example Cerberus, she is skilled and dependable. We will see what path Kira will choose, we can offer her both training as a Mercere, and as a hedge wizard if she will agree to it. I have one idea that might be able to save her Avatar as well, but I would have to confer with Mr Tolle about such a strategy."
Jeffry said with a deep frown.
He arched an eyebrow, "I'm sure Kallan would be prepared to kiss the ground on which you walk if you can pull that off - and I would be quite grateful, too... I'll leave that angle to you, then, as a backup plan."

Anja wrote:"Hum...yes one moment..."

He looked over the form, and started filling it in, then paused, "Well, damn... I just realized I never asked Shawn for his last name. Is that going to be a problem, or can I leave it out for now?"
He frowned, "And I will have to strike out the last line... Shawn is certainly willing to become our Custos, for the protection it offers, but... he's far too broken down for me to claim he is of entirely sound mind. And I fear you-know-who would seize the first chance to turn that one against me... I'm going to have to refer him to Dr. Boudavich, too."

Anja wrote:"Ah congratulations Mr Wainwright, well if you can find a second witness we can do that now and I can fill in the paperwork and send it with the next Mercere that visit the Chantry."
Jeffry offered with a smile.
He shook his head, "No rush, and the time is more wisely spent keeping the Prince from getting irritated."
He finished the tea and placed the cup on a reasonably clear spot on the desk, "Alright, I should go get Miss Milliner and her lady in waiting. I'll swing by my shop and retrieve a blood bag from the supply there, rather than going through the mess of teleporting it out. I've picked up enough Paradox for a bit, I think..."

[Chantry First Floor]

'Fine, whatever.' Nicole replied, clearly irritated; feeling the pressure of knowing about the captured Kinfolk. Pulled out her cell, to text Jon to come down to the lobby as quickly as possible...

Helena raised an eyebrow and gave Nicole a stern look over her reactions but she said nothing.
"Let us go then."
She said and she gave a final look at Shawn but deciding she could do little to calm him she begun to lead Lita down to the basement. Jon just appeared before you in the lobby.
"Did you need anything Nicole?"
He asked as he glanced at the crying Shawn.
"Is something wrong here?"

[Jeffry's Office]

Colin smiled thinly, "The Union bit was a joke - I would have thought you'd caught that one. Help with employing a guardian would be good, though. As for my ward - no, I didn't spend much Quintessence on it; scarcely any at all, in fact. I did spend a few hours on it, both the initial working and the occasional refresher, but it's about time I go through the design of it with Anna again, anyway, so no harm done."

"With you Mr Wainwright it is hard to know."
Jeffry said and he raised an eyebrow.
"Very well all good then."

He nodded, then frowned, "Good - admitting to that fear will help control it. But of course, you've learned that lesson countless times over. It... hum, well. It's a lesson we all need a refresher of from time to time..."

"Yes indeed very much so, we all feel fear it is a natural emotion, it is letting this emotion control us which is a problem, it is then we become powerless to prevent that which we fear."
The Flambeau agreed.

He frowned, "In the words of Madame Gottschalk, my Cabal has some discipline issues. I am going to be quite clear in my report to Dr. Hadermann and recommend remedial instruction, in particular concerning etiquette around Mystics."

"Indeed, or etiquette around those she considers to be in another class than herself. I have no problem with political activism, and while I do not share her political views her working towards them in quite fine, her attitude is not."
Jeffry agreed sternly.

He grinned, "Let's just call it an early Christmas present - I've been unsure of what to get you anyway."

"Ah I will accept then, thank you Mr Wainwright."
The Hermetic said with a small smile.

"That probably will make it less scary indeed."
Jeffry agreed with a nod.
"Well I am glad things are moving forwards for the girl."

He arched an eyebrow, "I'm sure Kallan would be prepared to kiss the ground on which you walk if you can pull that off - and I would be quite grateful, too... I'll leave that angle to you, then, as a backup plan."

"It is simple enough really Mr Wainwright but it will need to, like in some strategy games, happen in the right order, so it is important this is not mentioned to anyone before the proper time. The way I understand it Master Adimari have taken an non fallen apprentice who was a member of the Nephandi, and during a trial the girl was granted respite, given a Branding and placed in Master Adimari's care. Now when Kyle go to trial the point that will be a danger is that he have been in a Labyrinth, he was forced to work with the Nephandi. If we win however and we stand a very good chance of winning we have tow points of precedence, they are not exactly the same thing but could be used for arguing that a under age, Nephandi apprentice be given a chance with a Master if one can be found to apprentice them. If we can keep her here until after Kyle's trial and have hers after that is won, we have an argument to stand on...."
Jeffry replied.
"Or so I believe but I must discuss it with Master Tole to be sure."

He looked over the form, and started filling it in, then paused, "Well, damn... I just realized I never asked Shawn for his last name. Is that going to be a problem, or can I leave it out for now?"

"No that should be fine, we can fill that in later. a first name is also fine."
Jeffry replied.

"I agree that is probably for the best, both striking out the last line and asking the good doctor to help him."
The old Hermetic said with a nod.

He shook his head, "No rush, and the time is more wisely spent keeping the Prince from getting irritated."

"What about tomorrow morning at hum eight then unless we are able to leave for Horizon in which case we can do so before we leave and bring the paperwork with us."
The Security Chief suggested.

"Avoiding Paradox is always good Mr Wainwright."
Jeffry said as he stood to walk you out of his tiny office, which was about three steps.
"And very well, good luck then and be careful."

Anja wrote:"People online are often assholes."
Stephen commented.
"But one should not give into the trolls."

"Yeah, better to just ignore them. I'm slowly learning to do that myself." Serge said with a wry grin.

Anja wrote:"That is true."
The Flambeau apprentice said darkly.
"But one day they are going down...all of them!"

"Yes we will. And the world will better because of it." Serge said with a nod.

Anja wrote:"I was not allowed to leave my room. I did something wrong."
Shawn wept.
"I did not mean to...I did not mean to do anything wrong...please don't punish me, I did not mean to!"

"It's all right. It's all right. You didn't do anything wrong. And no ones going to punish you." Serge said softly, trying to comfort the young vampire.

"Who said you weren't allowed to leave your room? We weren't told anything like that. Besides, you were under my care. I'm the only one who's to blame, not you. You don't need to worry."

"Yeah, better to just ignore them. I'm slowly learning to do that myself." Serge said with a wry grin.

"That is often for the best yes."
Stephen replied.

"Yes we will. And the world will better because of it." Serge said with a nod.

"Indeed it will."
The young Hermetic said firmly.
"Then a time of magick can go back and we can work our Art out in public."

"It's all right. It's all right. You didn't do anything wrong. And no ones going to punish you." Serge said softly, trying to comfort the young vampire.

"Are you sure Sir...he said that I was not allowed to walk around."
The vampire sobbed.
"Are you sure I will not be punished?"
He asked as he looked at Serge through a veil of bloody tears.

"Who said you weren't allowed to leave your room? We weren't told anything like that. Besides, you were under my care. I'm the only one who's to blame, not you. You don't need to worry."

"He said so...he said I was not allowed to leave my room. I am so sorry I did not mean to do anything wrong. I did not mean to."
Shawn wept as he indicated Adley.

'Whoa...' Nicole exclaimed on seeing the Adept appear. 'Can't you do that behind people?' giving a little sigh. 'Only that we're about to talk to the Chief; did you manage to find a destination for that van which did the snatching?'

"I could..."
Jon said then he shook his head.
"Not yet as I have been busy with cleaning up after Nephandi, spirits and other shit attacking us, but I will get right back to it as soon as I am able."
He replied.
"I set one of my computers to look for hits on the truck on cameras and the like through the city, that search might be done now so I might have an answer for you soon."

Think she has intel that he'd like to hear now. And he needs to have his position cleared up officially.' giving a nod towards the vampire. 'There's nothing stopping us filing in one by one dealing with the various issues...'

"I was told to have her taken downstairs. And, I am trying to clear that up. All I need is to check in with him."

"We should take her down to the basement then, find a empty room for her down there."
Helena agreed.

"Yes, please."

Jon just appeared before you in the lobby.
"Did you need anything Nicole?"
He asked as he glanced at the crying Shawn.
"Is something wrong here?"

He looked over quickly as someone appeared nearby and then relaxed, seeing it was Jon. He had no idea why he was suddenly down there too and now there was a logjam.

"Who said you weren't allowed to leave your room? We weren't told anything like that. Besides, you were under my care. I'm the only one who's to blame, not you. You don't need to worry."

"I said I wasn't sure if he was allowed out of his room yet because we need is to see if he's gotten the paperwork for custos. Before he is allowed to wander around without escorts or given guest rights. Apprentices need to check in with their parens since they are not yet full adults, legally. I just was going to check and make sure of that, that's all. He didn't do anything wrong, and the rest seems a misunderstanding that can be cleared up easily."

"I was told to have her taken downstairs. And, I am trying to clear that up. All I need is to check in with him."

Helena nodded at that.
"Let us bring her downstairs then brother."

"Yes, please."

"The one actual cell is empty after...Dahl blew up."
Your sister said.
"Mr Dahl blew up?"
Lita asked her eyes growing wide.
"Ehm...I can not talk about it right now."
Your sister replied. And Lita nodded just accepting this.

"I said I wasn't sure if he was allowed out of his room yet because we need is to see if he's gotten the paperwork for custos. "He gets scared easily, let me take him down to his room and see if I can distract him."
Kyle said and he begun to gently lead Shawn towards the door to the basement.
"No one will hurt you here, that just don't happen, if you try to make trouble you might find yourself scrubbing the floors but that is generally as bad as it gets."
He assured the young vampire who was still crying but he seamed a little less scared now.

Anja wrote:"Are you sure Sir...he said that I was not allowed to walk around."
The vampire sobbed.
"Are you sure I will not be punished?"
He asked as he looked at Serge through a veil of bloody tears.

"I'm sure. You'll have a fun little time with your new friends." he said reencouragingly, trying his best not to make a 'cover of a death metal album' joke on seeing Shawn's increasingly bloodier face.

Anja wrote:"He said so...he said I was not allowed to leave my room. I am so sorry I did not mean to do anything wrong. I did not mean to."

When they were gone he sighed and looked at Adley. "I kinda expected Nicole to be the cause. Anyways....you said you needed me to look after someone?"

[You do know Nicole will just see this as "she needs to be more middle-class so she fits in better", right? And looking at the conversation with my sociological hat on for a moment, I don't completely disagree with that assumption...]

[Jeffry's Office]

Colin chuckled, "Alright, I guess I deserve that..."

"Yes you kind of do deserve it."
Jeffry said sounding a bit amused.

He nodded, "She's a... difficult person to deal with as a person, but one hell of a junkrat. But she does need extensive remedial education, I'm afraid; political science and macroeconomy in particular."

"Well for me as long as she is able to work with other members of the Traditions and not constantly cause arguments with everyone who do not share her political views, that is enough for me. I am not sure trying to educate her past that will be all that effective."
The old Hermetic replied with a sigh.

He smiled thinly, "It'd have to be an early present, too; I'll be spending Christmas in Europe, it seems, being either at Mrs. Knox' estate in France, or at my parents' place in England. And not to worry, Anna will be well instructed to not let on what we are, but they'd kill me if they found out I was a short train ride away and didn't stop by..."

"Yes you did mention earlier that you where taking Anna to Europe for Christmas. I am sure you will have good control that the Law of Shade is not broken and yes I am sure Anna would love to meet her grandparents as well."
The Flambeau replied.

He nodded sagely, "The idea is sound... But of course, Anna would not qualify as valid precedent, as her condition calls for referring to Master Ir's precedent instead - but it might help her case later, if she regains full health without having restored her Avatar first..."

"Yes having a back up plan for your apprentice if she ever become well enough to...well you know might be a good idea. But yes this solution is in no way a sure thing, but I am fairly sure that if we win Kyle's case, there is a good chance it can work."
Jeffry said and he frowned clearly worried for his youngest apprentice.

He nodded and swiftly filled in the form, crossing out the part about Shawn being of sound mind, and signed it, handing it back to Morgan, "There. If you would kindly?"

"Certinly. I will make sure the paper work is filed."
Jeffry said as he accepted the document and put his on signature on it as a witness.

He nodded, "About eight, very well. Will you ask a qualified witness, or shall I?"

"I can take care for the arrangements Mr Wainwright unless you had someone particular in mind."
The Security Chief replied.

He nodded, heading out, "I will. I'll need the ghoul's assistance, though, so I'll release her right away... Ah, right. Key to her handcuffs?"
He opened the door and looked out into the hallway.

Jeffry tossed a set of keys to you and nodded.
"You may release the ghoul to have her help carry Miss Milliner."
He said.
"But keep an eye on her just to be sure."
You opened the door to the Security office and you found a scene where Nicole and Helena stood there with a young woman, Adley where there and Serge, Kyle and Stephen and Shawn, the vampire was clearly upset and he was crying.
"What is happening out there Mr Wainwright?"
Jeffry asked and he raised an eyebrow.

[Third Floor]

"And then I'll never need to walk anywhere again!"

Stephen gave you a rather curious look at that.
"Ehm....ok....if you say so Sir."

[First Floor]

"I'm sure. You'll have a fun little time with your new friends." he said reencouragingly, trying his best not to make a 'cover of a death metal album' joke on seeing Shawn's increasingly bloodier face.

"Ok...ok thank you Sir I can go back to my room not a problem. And again I am so sorry for doing something wrong."
Shawn muttered he seamed to be calming down a little at least.

"See Shawn. It was just a misunderstanding. And you always had an escort with you. So no one did anything wrong." he assured the vampire as Kyle lead him out.

"Ok...Sir, I am sorry for making a fuss."
Shawn muttered his crying finally stopped and he tried to wipe at his face with his hands but that just made the mess worse.
"I will just go and get some warm water so you can wash up, I will meet you guys downstairs."
Stephen said and he headed of towards the kitchen.

'I see...' Nicole replied, clearly a little disappointed. 'But you at least did the trace on the cells and shit from the attackers, right? I remember you showing me a map...'

"I have a trace as to where their phones have been for the last month or so, I can send you that. However do remember that I can not unlike Master Sharaya be in several places at once, some things takes a little time."
Jon replied and he raised an eyebrow.

Cause? What cause?' Nicole said, currently over by Jon - but had clearly picked up her name across the room.

"He thought it was you who made the vampire boy cry and not the pretty blue eyed man."
Lita said as she happily waved to the new arrivals.

(OOC: Well if she is to avoid problems she will need to learn some restraint with older magi. Unless she fancy being put on trial.)
