'They're more capable of changing the system, yeah. However, they're less likely to see a problem with it or have the inclination to change it - after all, it works for them.' she doggedly replied. 'Yes, you're right about what you'd need to change the system... which is so high a bar I don't think anyone would actually fit it.'

'True, the alternatives tried before didn't work right. Which means they shouldn't be tried again. But that doesn't mean alternatives should not be tried in the future.'

'Look... I get your point, you're a reformist. I have no faith in that - the rot is too far in, their claws in too deep. The only way we'd get what you're saying is to remove the bribing lobbyists, the corrupted puppets they've got everywhere, the fascistic police, dumbed-down lying media and those conformity factories known as schools?'

'Would you buy that, if you were the ruling class? That the party's over, that you've gotta start paying taxes on silly things like heathcare for the poor? That you can't bribe politicians or using lawyers as offensive weapons no more? That democracy should be run for the people, and not just "their people"? I wouldn't; I'd fight tooth and nail. And they are.' taking the directions indicated by Narim.

'Any news on plan or possible hostiles we're facing? Is this the "big push" the Chief mentioned earlier?'

"Well damn..." Arn muttered and he glanced at the shard. "That is quite terrifying."

"I only see the one, though none would be much preferable..."

Jeffry listened to what you where saying intently. "Hum that might work...if I fill in the gaps a little."

He nodded, moving back towards the middle again to let him try whatever he thought he could make of his insight. It seemed to have some sort of effect - as before, the voice of it was not quelled, he could still hear it, but it wasn't looking as if it was going to become unpinned from it's unfortunate position. He sighed in something like relief, but was glad to vacate the relative area around it; his avatar was feeling unsettled enough as it was and that spell probably wasn't going to hold it forever.

he glanced over at you for a moment. "That rote you described mea filius...is most useful." He said approvingly as he held the portal open until everyone had gotten back into physical reality.

"I'll relay your regards to their appropriate place along with my own," he said with a nod as he did just that, and then stepped cautiously through the portal. It was better than saying "I'm glad that worked," probably not what the others needed to hear right now. But he was glad ad thankful for the insight that his avatar had shown him.

Nicole:

'They're more capable of changing the system, yeah. However, they're less likely to see a problem with it or have the inclination to change it - after all, it works for them.' she doggedly replied. 'Yes, you're right about what you'd need to change the system... which is so high a bar I don't think anyone would actually fit it.'

"Fair enough it is harder to see a problem when you do not immediately have to face it day out and day in, but if someone are not aware of a problem they are not villains in the story either. Now do not get me wrong I have little sympathy for the Syndicate controlled baners that lead to the current economic collapse or those who pay politicians to keep things as they are, I am just against blaming all who happen to have money as there are many who do who either try to change the system or who just don't know about the problems others face."
Narim said.

'True, the alternatives tried before didn't work right. Which means they shouldn't be tried again. But that doesn't mean alternatives should not be tried in the future.'

"I agree there should be alternatives tried but they have to be thought out before a change can be instigated, and I think a reform should be slow and political and not a bloody revolution. I would for example not mind if USA took a cue from some of the Scandinavian nations, not that they are perfect either, but they are socialist and there are strict laws about minimum wage, nearly free health care ever everyone and a system in place to care for those who for whatever reasons can't work."
Narim frowned.
"That that there are not strong right wing forces trying to ruin this at those nations as well at the moment, however I would rather transition to what they have than have a revolution and then little plan for how the nation will be run afterwards."

"The problem with this is that it will cause far to much death and then when it is all done with no government and no police the weak will be even weaker, a lawless world will be fine for you and me we can take care of ourselves, but that little 86 year old woman down the street, chances are she will be cut down by someone wanting her TV or her food. Changing things slowly are hard work and it is frustrating, but we have to consider the safety of the weak in our actions."
The Virtual Adept said.
"But yes we have to work towards change, for the system we have is not working anymore."

Would you buy that, if you were the ruling class? That the party's over, that you've gotta start paying taxes on silly things like heathcare for the poor? That you can't bribe politicians or using lawyers as offensive weapons no more? That democracy should be run for the people, and not just "their people"? I wouldn't; I'd fight tooth and nail. And they are.' taking the directions indicated by Narim.

"Off course there will be resistance but if the laws are changed, the police educated and the system changed then there is little anyone can do and that is better than killing off a large part of the population and then having a lawless society that like I said will just trade one elite for another."
Narim said then he pointed at a diner op ahead.
"We are going there, I can feel my Cabalmate's magick up ahead they are here."

'Any news on plan or possible hostiles we're facing? Is this the "big push" the Chief mentioned earlier?'

"The Union men have started moving this way, so there is that but the target is staying put for now...wait no with the others coming in from the Umbra she is starting to move...I think she is trying to get out though the front door as they have come in in the back ally in the back...I don't know about any other hostiles but there could be some."
The Virtual Adept said suddenly alert.

Adley:

"I only see the one, though none would be much preferable..."

"Only...one...there are usually more than one? What would happen if there where more of them?"
Arn muttered. Adjan looked at the shard sadly.
"It is like looking at a corpse that have been defiled...I so wish we could help it."
The Euthanathos muttered.

Jeffry just nodded at that, he seamed quite glad it had worked as well. You got out into a back ally behind what seamed to be a cheap diner, the others looked around for a moment, a bit confused.
"Man that place was strange..."
Arn commented. Adjan raised a finger to his lips to him and drew his weapon, Arn looked a little embarrassed and drew his weapon as well.

Your Mentor got through the portal and he used closing it to hide a flash of pain from what had to be Paradox hitting him, he did it well but not well enough that Adjan did not from at it.
"There are one Awakened inside of this building but moving and two in that car."
Hildegard said and pointed at a rather large vehicle nearby.
"That do seam to be our friends."
Arn said and shaded his eyes so he could gaze at the car.
"I see Master Sharaya and the new girl."
Jeffry nodded.
"I suspect the one moving in the diner is our target if so let us let her get out of a place packed with sleepers and then strike when we have a chance I want that woman taken down!"
He said angrily, Jeffry did not like those who hurt spirits.
"It was a particularly cruel trick she played on our guardian spirit, however for now keep your wits about you we don't know her capabilities."

'Which is why I allow them to plead ignorance. But once they can't do that no more...' drifting off into a meaningful silence for a moment.

'Nah, won't work here.' shaking her head at Narim's idea of Fabianism. 'As I said, the rots' too deep, the cunt's control of society is too strong. What you've said has been tried - again, and again and fucking again for decades. And they kick it down each and every time. They are part of the problem.' she said stubbornly.

'People are already getting hurt now. The law is - and always has been - there to protect property, not people. Cops are there to enforce this, to lead the evictions, break up strikes, spy on people and to shoot you if you get uppity like demanding they quit racial profiling. Law enforcement is the mailed fist of the ruling class.'

On the update on their target, Nicole dropped the argument. 'Stupid Mirrorshades; should have secured all the exits before moving in. But our gain. Orders?' driving towards the destination.

'Which is why I allow them to plead ignorance. But once they can't do that no more...' drifting off into a meaningful silence for a moment.

"So at what level of wealth do you think it should be ok to just execute someone?"
Narim said and raised an eyebrow.

"That is exactly what I hear the far right say as well you know, however I think we should try rather than cause death and destruction. It will take decades Miss, perhaps more than decades, meaningful social change do not happen over night."

"Like I said the system have to be changed, but I think you might not get just how many will die in an full scale revolution, those that are hurt now would be a drop in an endless sea of blood, and I am not willing to pay all those deaths, my own life that I can pay, but not the lives of that many sleepers."

On the update on their target, Nicole dropped the argument. 'Stupid Mirrorshades; should have secured all the exits before moving in. But our gain. Orders?' driving towards the destination.

"Well the Technocrats are on their way but not here yet, whoever spooked our target is not them and I suspect they are our allies, well then if I know Jeffry Morgan right he will want the target to leave the diner not to put the sleepers in danger, and then he will take her once she gets to a place that are suitable...hum there you see that side road there, take us over there I think our target will pass it and it would be a good place to strike...hum, do you think you could hit her leg, we want her alive but the pain of a gunshot wound might slow down her magick considerably."

"Something terrible? Hum well it is war terrible things happen Colin, we do what we have to in order to protect ourselves, protect everyone."
Your Cabalmate said softly.
"Even terrible things."
Colin sighed, "Yes, but the potential consequences of this one would have damned me... Oh, well. The worst was avoided, but still..."

"Well I have heard of stranger things happening, then again it is hard to comment on a a speculation, but do you not need a strong will a specially prepared materials to become a lich?"
He nodded, "For the ritual, yes. After all, how easy would you find it to sever all ties with friends, family, loved ones, et cetera? It's... an intriguing path, but not one I would want to follow."

"That is a truly sad tale Colin."
The doctor said and frowned.
"A Hermetic House becoming vampires, I wonder if that is why the Chief is so afraid of the creatures, now don't get me wrong my own Tradition is not exactly friendly towards vampires either, especially the Western ones but the Order of Hermes seam to really not like them."
He said then he added.
"Thank you that would be most helpful I would love to talk with the woman for my research."
He shook his head, "Vampire blood is poison to Avatars, that's why the Chief fears them. Tremere betrayed the Order in a heinous manner, first manipulating the Schism War, and then by dragging almost the entire House into undeath, and that is why he hates the Tremere..."

Richard grinned a little at that.
"Well it certainly sound entertaining not that I have much time for gaming these days between my duties at the Chantry and my job here at the hospital and my own studies."
He nodded, "You and me both..."

"I will treat her kinder and gentler then Colin, I can not say I can completely look past what she is, but I will treat her like a child and make sure she is not scared of me."
The Akashic promised.
He nodded, "What she is... is not permanent. We'll bring her back to the light."

"I hope to see you there then."
Richard said and smiled.
He nodded, "Before breakfast it is."

"But there is so much oogeling to do, I was hoping to get a head start."
Freddy replied and grinned.
He shook his head, "Tsk, tsk."

Richard looked rather uncomfortable for a moment then he nodded.
"There is a rather large lump of particles in your brain Freddy, pressing on a vein if that...vein are cut you will be in trouble, as it stands the only possibilities are surgery or a skilled teleporter removing the lump of Primium, however I might have an idea to coax it out into the cerebral fluid, but to do so I am going to find someone to test my theories on, and no it can not be you, the lump is to delicately placed to risk experimenting with."
He said and Freddy paled and took a deep breath and looked at you.
"I hope your future visions are true then love."
She muttered she was clearly very scared but she kept herself under control, she did not want to freak out here where her doing so would scare Kyle and besides it would not serve any purpose.
"So what do we do now?"

Kyle looked at Freddy with worried eyes, he did not know what to say though and remained silent.
He pondered, "Now, we get Kyle scanned, then Dr. Lee has a hypothesis to test - not requiring any more injections in us or anything - and then we should head home."
He smiled thinly, "And I have faith in the future, luv - you're made of tough stuff, we'll get through this. And then I'll cook dinner."

Richard smiled a little.
"Stabbing would be more the Verbena's department not mine, and the needles is not very long either..."
He said as he quickly examined your thigh quickly found a vein close to the bruise and placed the needle expertly. His fingers searching around the bruise hurt a little as the area was very tender, the prick of the tiny needle though felt like a fingernail scraping across your skin and little more.
"Well this will take some time, the downside of these pediatric needles and the reason why they are not really used in older patients unless there is a good reason for it."
The Akashic said wryly as he begun to fill a few tubes. Kyle looked in your direction and frowned.
"Dos it hurt Sir?"
He asked.
He deadpanned, in a perfectly-pitched Dr. Smith imitation, "Oh, the pain, the pain."
He looked down at the blood being drawn, "The finger-poking around the bruise was uncomfortable - but that's true for just about any bruise. The needle itself... Roughly as bad as a single protruding claw from a week-old kitten resting its paw on my leg. So not very much, no."

"Let me see, I usually know where everyone is...Hannah Larson...ah yes she is in Miss Rizzo's room until her own can be repaired."
The Virtual Adept said and gave you a room number in the third floor.
"A picture of Larson herself? Well now that can come in handy."

"Yeah I hope so. I got the descriptions from Miss Olsen." Serge taking the room number. "Miss Rizzo? I think she's the other mage who saw Lisa Larson. That's handy. Maybe she has some more things to add to the picture."

"Anyways, thanks for the info sir." Serge said with a friendly wave of good-bye as he started to head towards Miss Rizzo's room.

Colin sighed, "Yes, but the potential consequences of this one would have damned me... Oh, well. The worst was avoided, but still..."

"Hum...I am not going to ask further details you can give them if you so desire however I am glad such and action was not needed then Colin...it sounds like you need a beer when all of this is over."
Richard said and frowned.
"Or something stronger."

He nodded, "For the ritual, yes. After all, how easy would you find it to sever all ties with friends, family, loved ones, et cetera? It's... an intriguing path, but not one I would want to follow."

"It is an interesting path I agree, no for me I want to cultivate immortality the old fashioned way, through Enlightenment for myself but as long as the woman harm no one with her path I have no right to judge her."
The Akashic said and nodded.

He shook his head, "Vampire blood is poison to Avatars, that's why the Chief fears them. Tremere betrayed the Order in a heinous manner, first manipulating the Schism War, and then by dragging almost the entire House into undeath, and that is why he hates the Tremere..."

"That is terrible, I did not know that...their blood damage our souls, damn, is that what is wrong with the young boy, Tobias?"
The Akashic asked.
"I can see why the Chief is wary of them then...the vampires we have in the East is not dangerous to us, they do use Nodes though and can channel Quintessence like we do so there is some conflict but they do not harm our Avatars in any way."
He explained.
"I think I prefer them though they are also on a false path to immortality."

He nodded, "You and me both..."

The Akashic nodded and sigh, spare time was such a rare luxury and he took a moment to commiserate about that.
"Sometimes I miss my collage days."

He nodded, "What she is... is not permanent. We'll bring her back to the light."

Richard nodded at that.
"I am not sure if I can believe that, but I will treat the girl kindly, I should have done so the first time around as well, I have a sister with the same phobia so I should have been more understanding."
He said and frowned.
"But your girl being a Nephandus is a hard thing to look past, then again there is Bee, she is Fallen but she is just Bee..."

He nodded, "Before breakfast it is."

Richard smiled and nodded.

He shook his head, "Tsk, tsk."

Freddy gave you an innocent grin.

"Well I can test the serum under a microscope but if I am to test the theory fully that would require a living subject with some of the particles build up but not enough to be dangerous."
Richard said and frowned.
"But if I am not running that test then it will just be giving Kyle his scan, let him wake up afterwards and go home."
He agreed.

Freddy looked at you and smiled.
"Well I am not planning on laying down and dying so yes we will find a solution."
She said and she tried to sound like she was not worried.

Kyle looked at you skeptically then he nodded.
"That don't sound to bad...I guess it is ok to do that."
The boy agreed. Richard nodded and smiled.
"Ok what if we do it this way, I give you something to make you sleep for the scan, an while you recovers after I take some blood, using one of these tiny needles before you wake up and you will feel nothing."
Richard suggested. Kyle nodded.
"Ok...but that thing to make me sleep it will not like when I have been sedated before when I loose control?"
He asked a bit nervously and plucked at the blanket.

Nicole:

A slight look of surprise at this. 'I'll do what needs to be done, but I'm not bloodthirsty. Most of 'em would flee anyway, those bastards usually do.'

"So if someone have money and don't flee then they are automatically the enemy and deserve to die, that is not what needs to be done, that is the French revolution all over again and we all know how well that ended."
Narim said flatly.

So, what's the plan then? Ask nicely, and if they tell us to go screw ourselves, say "pretty please"? Being reasonable only works when the other side is willing to do that too.'

"We need to work to change the laws, get money out of politics, change the education system to the average voter have more knowledge about what they are voting on, changing the system actually work, a violent revolution do not. A society takes time to change one can not be impatient.

Depending on range... think I might. But then we'll have the cops issue afterwards. If the target goes down... then what?'

"It will take some time before the cops shows up in this neighborhood and I will make sure that they are further delayed. If the target is down then we capture her, bind her magick and brings her to the Chantry."
Narim said as he tapped as his phone.
"Then we make sure we get some answers."

Serge:

"Yeah I hope so. I got the descriptions from Miss Olsen." Serge taking the room number. "Miss Rizzo? I think she's the other mage who saw Lisa Larson. That's handy. Maybe she has some more things to add to the picture."

"Yes Miss Rizzo and Miss Olson was attacked when Miss Olson where fetching Miss Rizzo at the airport yes if you are working on a picture of Larson she might indeed be able to add something though Miss Larson probably are the one who knows the woman best."
Narim agreed.

"Anyways, thanks for the info sir." Serge said with a friendly wave of good-bye as he started to head towards Miss Rizzo's room.

"Off course be well Mr Yager."
Narim said as he went back into his office and closed the door."

You got to Miss Rizzo's room and knocked on it, a woman that looked very much like a hippy with long, flowing hair, a long flowing dress, a braided headband and a multitude of bracelets and necklaces opened the door, she was about your age and she looked you over for a moment before she asked.
"Ehm...hello...what can I do for you?"

"Hum...I am not going to ask further details you can give them if you so desire however I am glad such and action was not needed then Colin...it sounds like you need a beer when all of this is over."
Richard said and frowned.
"Or something stronger."
Colin nodded, "I think I shall be going for the ol' Imperial malaria treatment tonight."

"It is an interesting path I agree, no for me I want to cultivate immortality the old fashioned way, through Enlightenment for myself but as long as the woman harm no one with her path I have no right to judge her."
The Akashic said and nodded.
He nodded, "Whereas I will perhaps be taking an entirely new path, it seems. Oh, well, a concern for later."

He nodded, "I believe I gave Master Telar an idea for treatment, though. I don't know if anything came of that, but I'm given to understand the boy has the far better chances now than if Mr. Lenoe had not contacted us."
He frowned, "The Eastern vampires seem... remarkable, really; in a completely different way than their Western counterparts. The Jade Demon - ah, the senior Nephandus in Chicago - implied as much when we spoke. Quite a pleasant man to meet, so long as you meet under an armistice."

The Akashic nodded and sigh, spare time was such a rare luxury and he took a moment to commiserate about that.
"Sometimes I miss my collage days."
He smiled sadly, "And I miss the RAF... but, my mind was not in a good condition when they gave me my Honourable Discharge - and by Sleeper medicine, it would not become so again, ever... At the very least, we can always go back to school to pick up some added education; I'm considering taking a few classes myself."

He nodded, "And we'll try to help Bee on to the path to restoration, as well. Hum, tell you what, my apprentice visited from the future, after she was restored. She brought some sand with peculiar properties - I should like you to take a look at it; see what your perspective on things tell you about it."

"Well I can test the serum under a microscope but if I am to test the theory fully that would require a living subject with some of the particles build up but not enough to be dangerous."
Richard said and frowned.
"But if I am not running that test then it will just be giving Kyle his scan, let him wake up afterwards and go home."
He agreed.
He nodded, "I believe the microscope test will be better to start with - if that looks promising, we can discuss it further at that point..."

Freddy looked at you and smiled.
"Well I am not planning on laying down and dying so yes we will find a solution."
She said and she tried to sound like she was not worried.
He grinned, "Chin up, luv, there's a green house with a ghost cat waiting for us on Horizon."

He glanced up at Richard, "You said it would just make him sleepy, as after pulling an all-nighter with a video game or somesuch, wasn't it?"

"Hi! My name is Serge bani Cult of Ecstasy." Serge said introducing himself to the hippy.

"You would be Miss Rizzo correct? I was asked by Master Morgan to draw a picture of Lisa Larson and he told me that you were one of the two people to see the big bad boss of the Nephandi." Serge began to explain.

"I already got a description from Miss Olsen and I would like to have it confirmed by you and Hannah Larson who I was told was also in this room." he finally concluded.

"Only...one...there are usually more than one? What would happen if there where more of them?" Arn muttered.

"How can I tell you how many there 'usually' are supposed to be for something that should never have been broken?" he asked rhetorically in a sad tone. "But I have...experienced... a raging storm of them, sorrow that spread across the umbra." He shook his head. "Best not talk of such here, it...isn't...hasn't happened, it was a warning."

"It is like looking at a corpse that have been defiled...I so wish we could help it." The Euthanathos muttered.

"So do I, but for now we cannot and it does pose a great danger. Perhaps when we get back we can find out if there is something that can be done."

"Man that place was strange..." Arn commented. Adjan raised a finger to his lips to him and drew his weapon, Arn looked a little embarrassed and drew his weapon as well.

Adley glanced around at the area they had come out into as he too drew his weapon in case there were enemies lurking that he didn't see. He listened to Hildegaard and his pater and then nodded to show he heard them. But where were the damn Technocrats? He was ready to move out before the person got away.

Colin:

Colin nodded, "I think I shall be going for the ol' Imperial malaria treatment tonight."

"Ah yes, well I suspect I will have wounded to treat tonight I doubt we will get out of this one without some casualties, or I would join you."
Richard said and frowned.

He nodded, "Whereas I will perhaps be taking an entirely new path, it seems. Oh, well, a concern for later."

"Indeed, it is a concern for when we have time to just focus on spiritual matters."
The Akashic agreed.

He nodded, "I believe I gave Master Telar an idea for treatment, though. I don't know if anything came of that, but I'm given to understand the boy has the far better chances now than if Mr. Lenoe had not contacted us."

"You could always ask Master Telar how the boy is doing but yes I o suspect his chances are better with us than if he had remained with the vampire, Mr Lenoe did seam to just want what is best for the boy though, he do not appear to be a cruel man not that I have talked with him."

He frowned, "The Eastern vampires seem... remarkable, really; in a completely different way than their Western counterparts. The Jade Demon - ah, the senior Nephandus in Chicago - implied as much when we spoke. Quite a pleasant man to meet, so long as you meet under an armistice."

"You actually spoke with this ancient Nephandus?"
Richard asked his eyes growing wide.
"Damn...but yes Eastern vampires are interesting, my Mentor tells me that our Tradition and their kind at times have cooperated and at times been in conflict with one another but they are seeking enlightenment so there is that, and in some ways they are similar to us."

"Me as well I have considering taking up a specialization as a surgeon, that would open many doors for me so I might be going back to school for that."
The doctor commented then he nodded.
"I am glad you are in a better place mentally now than when you left service Colin."

He nodded, "And we'll try to help Bee on to the path to restoration, as well. Hum, tell you what, my apprentice visited from the future, after she was restored. She brought some sand with peculiar properties - I should like you to take a look at it; see what your perspective on things tell you about it."

"Sand? And you think this will convince me that the Fallen can be saved? Hum...very well I will have a look at it."
Richard agreed.

He nodded, "I believe the microscope test will be better to start with - if that looks promising, we can discuss it further at that point..."

"I was planning on doing that before I moved on to trying it out on a human being in either case however as this will not take to long, and also Kyle will not be a viable test subject for long, he is off the serum tomorrow so we are talking today or tomorrow then it would save time to check if the serum and the catalyst react to one another in a microscope while he is sleeping of the sedation and then move on to testing while he is still here at the hospital, rather than remove the IV, bring him back to the Chantry then wait until he is fully awake to ask for his permission, then bring him back here, go though trying to talk him into me placing another IV, finding another usable vein that are not in his hands placing it, and then doing the testing. It is better to ask his permission and call the Chief to ask his if the boy agrees, and then do it as soon as I have checked if the two substances react to one another under the microscope. It is the same as not going to the store and buying milk, then going back to buy flour, then going back to get eggs bur rather check the recepie and get all you need at once. If we have asked his permission and the microscope test do not go well we have lost nothing we just let him wake up until he is able to walk and take him home, and if he do not give his permission now he is not likely to give it later either so then we can focus on getting another test subject, again we loose no time we just do the scan, then let him wake up and bring him home. However if the microscope test go well and we have not asked his permission chances are we will not get another chance to come here today and depending on how many wounded we have I might not have a chance to do the test tomorrow and I doubt he still will have enough residue by the day after that he will still work as a test subject, if he even works as one now. So I vote we ask him."
Richard explained.
"For me it works just as well to force a prisoner to comply I have little compassion with the Nephandi but if you want a willing test subject asking Kyle before I sedate him seam the logical course of action."

He grinned, "Chin up, luv, there's a green house with a ghost cat waiting for us on Horizon."

"Yes love..."
Freddy said as she took your hand and ran her fingers over the bones in your hand.
"And we will live well in that green house on Horizon with our family and our ghost cat."
She said and smiled a little.

He glanced up at Richard, "You said it would just make him sleepy, as after pulling an all-nighter with a video game or somesuch, wasn't it?"

"That is correct it is sleeping drug nothing more, it is generally used to calm claustrophobic patients before scans and to help people sleep, it will put the patient in a somewhat deeper sleep than usual, but they are not unconscious they are sleeping there is a difference and if someone is fighting the effect they will be able to stay awake, it will just feel like being tired and then going to sleep naturally, the drug is pretty mild, but when given in an IV it works pretty quickly while when given as tablets it takes a few hours to work so most patients take it some time before bed i they have trouble falling asleep."
Richard explained and Kyle nodded.
"Ok...lets do this thing..."
Richard nodded.
"Good boy, now in the scanner you will have two emergency buttons, one to abort the scan and call for help if you wake up and are scared, feel free to use that if you need to, it is better that you call for help one time to many than one time to few, and then we can just do the scan again...the other button will stop the machine immediately, it is used if you are in real distress or if you discover metal in your body that have gone undiscovered and you need the scan to stop at once...I would prefer you not use this button other than in an immediate emergency as it stand a good chance of destroying the machine itself."
He explained and Kyle nodded.
"Most likely you will be asleep for the duration of the scan though...now I want to give you the sedative now so it have time to work by the time we get to the MRI chamber, Mr Wainwright will stay with you the entire time and keep you safe."
Richard continued, Kyle looked a little nervous but he nodded again.
"Well then if you let me see your foot..."
The Akasic asked but this time Kyle looked skeptical.
"I am not going to hurt you, the IV is taped down, often this is not done for contrast as it is not going to stay in for long but I prefer to do it just so that attaching the syringe will be painless, it will not move the tube around...the sedative also don't burn unlike some that might have been used on you before..."
Richard said trying to reassure him and Kyle hesitantly eventually let the doctor touch his rather bruised foot.

Serge:

"Hi! My name is Serge bani Cult of Ecstasy." Serge said introducing himself to the hippy.

"Ehm...yeah nice meeting you I am Bianca Rizzo bani Verbena..."
The hippie muttered and reached out a hand to you in greeting.

"You would be Miss Rizzo correct? I was asked by Master Morgan to draw a picture of Lisa Larson and he told me that you were one of the two people to see the big bad boss of the Nephandi." Serge began to explain.

"That would be me yes, and you are correct the bitch herself tried to kidnap Rosa, she did not care much for me though."
The young woman confirmed.

"I already got a description from Miss Olsen and I would like to have it confirmed by you and Hannah Larson who I was told was also in this room." he finally concluded.

"Ehm...yeah sure come in, sorry about the mess."
Bianca said and moved away from the door so you could come into her room there where clothes and magazines on the floor, a few plates and other dishes in the kitchen and plants growing in pots everywhere, other than that the young Verbena's apartment looked rather similar to yours. In one chair a very beautiful, blond woman now wearing a green bath robe with her hair wet, clearly her encounter with the oil men had made her decide to take a shower, sat, the woman smiled to you and stood.
"Good morning..."
She said pleasantly. Hannah Larson was perhaps a year or two older than you.

Adley:

"How can I tell you how many there 'usually' are supposed to be for something that should never have been broken?" he asked rhetorically in a sad tone. "But I have...experienced... a raging storm of them, sorrow that spread across the umbra." He shook his head. "Best not talk of such here, it...isn't...hasn't happened, it was a warning."

"Damn I am pretty sure I would have wet my pants if I had seen that, and let me tell you my Avatar is not happy seeing that shard she is complaining in my head."
The young Solificato said.
"No I suppose...the number of such things that are common is hard to say and it should never have been broken..."

"So do I, but for now we cannot and it does pose a great danger. Perhaps when we get back we can find out if there is something that can be done."

Adjan nodded sadly and looked at the shard for a moment then turned away from it's wails and laments.
"You are right my friend, let us keep our minds on the task ahead."
The Euthanatos said regretfully.

Adley glanced around at the area they had come out into as he too drew his weapon in case there were enemies lurking that he didn't see. He listened to Hildegaard and his pater and then nodded to show he heard them. But where were the damn Technocrats? He was ready to move out before the person got away.

Jeffry made a motion for everyone to follow him then he hurried towards a dark side street, now and again Hildegard made a comment as to where she felt the mage you where following where going. You saw noting to the Technocrats at least, not yet.

"Ah yes, well I suspect I will have wounded to treat tonight I doubt we will get out of this one without some casualties, or I would join you."
Richard said and frowned.
Colin nodded, "I expect it will be... well... if my plan works, we'll have home turf advantage when we strike the Labyrinth. It'll take some luck, and a lot of finesse, though, but i think it's possible..."

"You could always ask Master Telar how the boy is doing but yes I o suspect his chances are better with us than if he had remained with the vampire, Mr Lenoe did seam to just want what is best for the boy though, he do not appear to be a cruel man not that I have talked with him."
He nodded, "Oh, I shall - just haven't had the time to do so yet, after getting back."

He nodded, "We spoke briefly after Abigail went down; we were desperate to save her life for later, and I chanced that he would be unwilling to escape through death, as well - so if our healers were to fail, he might take over. Of course, I could not frame this as a request or a deal; that would be frowned upon indeed, but as a hypothetical question, I could get away with it. We managed without his aid, though. Fortunately. He, ah, merely happened to let us know in advance when he was going to attack so that we not accidentally open fire on one another; we couldn't coordinate our planning, but if we were to incidentally attack while he was hitting the Labyrinth, well, that would be merely fortuitous."
He pondered, "The Asian vampires are perhaps more like us than they are like western vampires, then?"

"Me as well I have considering taking up a specialization as a surgeon, that would open many doors for me so I might be going back to school for that."
The doctor commented then he nodded.
"I am glad you are in a better place mentally now than when you left service Colin."
He smiled thinly, "Some of the Deacon Primus' finest work, in fact..."

"Sand? And you think this will convince me that the Fallen can be saved? Hum...very well I will have a look at it."
Richard agreed.
He shrugged, "The sand is poor proof of its own, but it has other properties. The ephemeral dragon scale she brought, on the other hand, should be solid proof..."

He nodded, then frowned, "I am... unwilling to cooperate with any plan to experiment on prisoners of war. I've had certain protocols quite thoroughly drilled into place, to avoid accidental war crimes. No, if we're doing this, I will insist on a volunteer. Ask Kyle before putting him under; after that... we go with what he says. And I will make that call for another volunteer, all the same."

"Yes love..."
Freddy said as she took your hand and ran her fingers over the bones in your hand.
"And we will live well in that green house on Horizon with our family and our ghost cat."
She said and smiled a little.
He nodded, "Yes, we will. Heh, I hope you won't mind, but I already have our family lawyer and family doctor lined up. The latter of which I haven't even met yet."

He nodded, "Kyle, while you're in there, I'll be in the room with you, instead of behind the protective screen - if you wish, I can keep a hand on your leg, for assurance. I won't be holding your hand, though, but I believe your foot should remain outside the scanner."

"Ehm...yeah nice meeting you I am Bianca Rizzo bani Verbena..."
The hippie muttered and reached out a hand to you in greeting.

Serge reached out with his own hand and shook Bianca's hand politely.

"No problem. My room probably going to look similar in a few days. Just replace the plants with piles of crumpled up pieces of paper." Serge commented humorously as he stepped into the Verbana's room. He took a glance around and marveled at how clearly Bianca's personality and lifestyle could be seen within the contents of the room. He  remembered his own apartment and wondered how it would look like in the coming days.

"Good morning to you too." Serge said with a friendly smile trying his best not to get nervous by the woman's beauty.

"I probably shouldn't take up your guy's time for too long. I got a description of Lisa Larson and I managed to draw a picture from that description. I wanted to know if it matches your guy's description." Serge said as he pulled out the picture of Lisa Larson that he had drawn with Rosa and showed it to both woman.

"So what do you think? Does it look like the big bad boss Lisa Larson?" Serge asked.

Adley and Nicole:

He shook his head. "I hope we never do..."

"Well not that we can agree on Mr Roth Hicks."
Arn muttered and he sounded quite freaked out by that shard.

He followed along, looking for trouble and places to take cover.

You suddenly see her, the woman in the dark hoodie quickly making her way across the street and heading for the deepest part of that dark alleyway, perhaps hoping to escape though the Umbra or find a place with no prying eyes to work her magick. Jeffry made a signal to follow the woman through she was still some distance away.

'Quit taking words I never actually said to stupid conclusions.

"Very well then, what will you do if a rich person do not bow down to your demands and do not flee, a completely normal person who just happens to be fortunate enough to have money?"
Narim asked calmly.

Like it or not, but folks like you need ones like me. Usually when the reply to your polite requests and petitions are couched in terms of lead.'

"I beg to differ Miss but no I do not, I would rather see this nation remain as it is than to see the bloodbath you propose. I think perhaps you yourself do not realize just how much blood and death and suffering would come from such a revolution, you just imagine that you will rise up and kill the rich and the politicians and that will be that, but it do not stop there, first off all there will be those who will use the lawlessness to rape, pillage and murder all those who where not as good fighters as them, not to mention that groups whipped into a frenzy by hatred is not exactly a precision instrument, let us take some famous revolutions do you think the French revolution for example stopped with the nobility? Chaos and lawlessness means might makes right and that means blood in the streets, so no I do not need someone to instigate that, if the situation in a nation grew so dire that so much blood, pain and death was preferable then I would be on the streets fighting myself. That being said my way is not just polite requests and petitions, there is many ways to show force Miss and not all of them involve violence."
The Virtual Adept said.

'If that works, come tell me. I'll be very happy to be proved wrong on this one, me.'

"Well let me see if we look at the polls the number of Americans who approve of gay marriage have tripled since the 1980's, woman, LGBT, racial minorities and other minority rights are slowly increasing, yes there are setbacks along the way however if we compare today with twenty, much less fifty years ago the situation have vastly improved, what is considered ok when it comes to discrimination 20 years ago would get you socially ostracized today, slowly the country are becoming more and more progressive and while the establishment are fighting all they can to stop it progress keep happening, that there are still big problems and injustices to be tackled do not mean that working for progress in a slow steady way do not work. Let me however turn that question around on you, show me an example where bloody revolution have actually worked and left a better and freer society than when it begun."

'Will she know I'm coming?' eyes narrowing a little, at the same time looking for a place to park.

"She is a mage so I would be inclined to say most likely yes."
Narim said. You found a place not far from where the woman seamed to be heading, right next to the diner to park.

Colin:

Colin nodded, "I expect it will be... well... if my plan works, we'll have home turf advantage when we strike the Labyrinth. It'll take some luck, and a lot of finesse, though, but i think it's possible..."

"Home turf advantage, in a Labyrinth, how are you planning to swing that one Colin?"

He nodded, "Oh, I shall - just haven't had the time to do so yet, after getting back."

Richard nodded at that.

"But why would this ancient Nephandus move against his own kind?"
Richard asked and raised an eyebrow.
"You make him sound almost friendly towards our side."

He pondered, "The Asian vampires are perhaps more like us than they are like western vampires, then?"

"I don't know enough about Western vampires to say for sure but I do not consider it to be unlikely that the Kuei-Jin, Asian vampires are more like us than they are other kinds of bloodsuckers."
The Akashic said and he nodded in agreement.

He smiled thinly, "Some of the Deacon Primus' finest work, in fact..."

"The Deacon Primus is a good man and a fine mage, I am glad he was able to help you."
He said and nodded again.

He shrugged, "The sand is poor proof of its own, but it has other properties. The ephemeral dragon scale she brought, on the other hand, should be solid proof..."

"She? I think you lost me there Colin who brought what?"
Richard asked looking confused.

He nodded, then frowned, "I am... unwilling to cooperate with any plan to experiment on prisoners of war. I've had certain protocols quite thoroughly drilled into place, to avoid accidental war crimes. No, if we're doing this, I will insist on a volunteer.

"I am not a cruel man Colin or I try not to be, but I am willing to hurt a prisoner to protect the innocent, however so be it, we will try to get a volunteer for this."
Richard agreed and he sigh.

Ask Kyle before putting him under; after that... we go with what he says. And I will make that call for another volunteer, all the same."

"Very well I will ask the boy and let it be his decision..."

He nodded, "Yes, we will. Heh, I hope you won't mind, but I already have our family lawyer and family doctor lined up. The latter of which I haven't even met yet."

"I trust that future me have agreed to your choices love or future you might have ended up sleeping on the sofa."
Freddy said and grinned.
"I trust you will tell me who these people are the next time we are in private though?"

He nodded, "Kyle, while you're in there, I'll be in the room with you, instead of behind the protective screen - if you wish, I can keep a hand on your leg, for assurance. I won't be holding your hand, though, but I believe your foot should remain outside the scanner."

"His feet will be out of the machine yes."
Richard confirmed. Kyle nodded.
"I appreciate you being there Sir, I am a bit scared."
He admitted. Richard attached a syringe to the boy's IV and begun to slowly inject the sedative.
"Kyle I have something to ask you...that magick dampening serum leave lasting damage a build up in the brain of those who are on it long enough, I might have a way to get that build up out safety but it will require testing...you might have enough build up to work for the testing but not enough that doing so will put you at risk, the test will be painful, involving me injecting a bit of catalyst into your spinal fluids, then we wait twenty minutes or so, do another scan and then take out a sample of your spinal fluids, with this test I might be able to manufacture a cure for Miss Adlebloom and for others...however it is up to you I am not going to force you, if you say no we just do the scan and the blood sample and then we are take you home."
He said softly before he put the syringe away. Kyle looked rather scared the looked from Richard to you and then to Freddy.
"I want to help but...but..."
He said and he drew his knees up to his chest and looked rather small and scared.
"I...will it really save Freddy?"
He asked and Richard sigh.
"It might it is a test, perhaps nothing will come of it but yes perhaps it will save her yes."
Kyle was quiet for a moment he seamed like he was getting rather tired now.
"I want...I but...I guess Master Morgan say his House do what is needed but...ok...I do not dare to but I guess I don't really need to do anything, just like with that sand, I just need to say yes and I can do nothing else to help."
He muttered softly and sniffled.
"I am so tired..."

Freddy glared at Richard for a moment.
"This is not right...if you need a test subject use me Richard..."
The doctor shook his head.
"That could kill you Freddy."
The Virtual Adept snorted.
"Yeah perhaps but it is not right to use some scared kid either...I don't want anyone to suffer for me and I am also useless in the upcoming fight."

Serge:

Serge reached out with his own hand and shook Bianca's hand politely.

The Verbena shook your hand firmly.

"Yeah? You draw then, you said you had a drawing of Lisa Larson and crumpled up paper that sounds like my sister she likes to draw as well, hum paint actually come to think about it but she makes drawings first unless she just go into a trance and produce those freaky pictures of hers...anyway talking to much I know, just sit down wherever you find room...do you want some tea or something?"
She asked.
"I make my own blends."

"Good morning to you too." Serge said with a friendly smile trying his best not to get nervous by the woman's beauty.

"You where among those who helped me out when my mother had Mr Jace send that spirit to abduct me, thank you."
Hannah said then she smiled again and she to offered you her hand in greeting.
"I am Hannah by the way Hannah Larson, no bani or anything I am an Orphan."

"Oh no problem at all, and besides you are cute I never mind a cute boy in my room."
Bianca teased and Hannah rolled her eyes at the other woman.
"Never mind her, let us have a look...hum yes that is pretty much her, my mother's cheeks are a bit plumper is reality but otherwise it is accurate. What do you say Bianca?"
She asked and the other woman nodded.
"Yeah I agree, a bit plumper face but other than that spot on, you are good with a pencil Serge..."

"So what do you think? Does it look like the big bad boss Lisa Larson?" Serge asked.

Both women nodded and you do notice that Hannah look pretty close to a younger version of the woman you had drawn only she was far prettier.

"Home turf advantage, in a Labyrinth, how are you planning to swing that one Colin?"
Colin grinned, "With a book and a block of margarine... It's a ludicrous-sounding plan, I will admit, but it has worked in the future, so it ought to work now."

"But why would this ancient Nephandus move against his own kind?"
Richard asked and raised an eyebrow.
"You make him sound almost friendly towards our side."
He smiled thinly, "I believe the man was there when the first pieces of Chinese history were first recorded... he believes that the world will inevitably collapse on its own without interference, and he's content to wait. However, with every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction, and he's not too fond of those Nephandi who kick the cookpot and draw the attention of the Traditions or the Union. Plus, trying to bind the Fallen equivalent of an Oracle... he can't easily permit that; I imagine anyone of us would do the same if we learned a Chantry tried to bind an Oracle... He is not so much friendly as very carefully indifferent and neutral."

"She? I think you lost me there Colin who brought what?"
Richard asked looking confused.
He smiled smugly, "In some fifty years, my clever and brilliant apprentice will be long since cleansed, and travel back in time to deliver a few gifts on our Chantry's doorstep while the hostage situation and spirit intrusion at the Chantry happened this morning. She left me a bag of that sand, and a scale off her Avatar, pristine and perfect... It will be proof that her Avatar can be restored to its proper form."

"I am not a cruel man Colin or I try not to be, but I am willing to hurt a prisoner to protect the innocent, however so be it, we will try to get a volunteer for this."
Richard agreed and he sigh.
He nodded, "Thank you. And... if I may be so blunt, I suspect you will find that hurting a defenseless prisoner, even if it is to protect or aid the innocent, comes with a nasty price in the long run..."

"I trust that future me have agreed to your choices love or future you might have ended up sleeping on the sofa."
Freddy said and grinned.
"I trust you will tell me who these people are the next time we are in private though?"
He grinned, "I don't think there'll be much need for sleeping on the sofa in that regard - the lawyer and I go back a while, and the doctor will... save Anna's life, soon enough. And I will elaborate later."

"His feet will be out of the machine yes."
Richard confirmed. Kyle nodded.
"I appreciate you being there Sir, I am a bit scared."
He admitted. Richard attached a syringe to the boy's IV and begun to slowly inject the sedative.

He muttered softly and sniffled.
"I am so tired..."
He nodded, "If you are tired, you can close your eyes and sleep. I will watch over you, make sure nothing you didn't agree to is done... Your Mentor would probably have my skin hanged up for posterity otherwise - and make sure I stayed alive to grow a new one."

He shook his head, "Luv... for this, I need you to step back and let others do the hard part... much as it galls us both. Worst case scenario, the procedure could draw out the Primium in one intact lump, rather than dislodge the individual particles from one another. If that happens... there would be no saving you. Kyle can't have accumulated any clumps large enough to be a threat like that yet, but we should be able to see whether the catalyst draws out individual particles or lumps of them... Besides, I will need your help in the upcoming fight, I think - a communication link, when I go where phones don't work..."

"I'm familiar with freaky trance drawings. I've drawn a few myself." Serge said with a smile.

"And I'll have a cup of tea. I don't think I've eaten...anything at all today." Serge said realizing just how empty his stomach was.

"So do you grow your own tea leaves? Are they from magick plants? Can you make magick tea!" Serge said glancing at the plants in the room and wondering what properties they might have.

"You where among those who helped me out when my mother had Mr Jace send that spirit to abduct me, thank you."

He reached out with his own hand and shook her hand politely.

"Oh no problem at all, and besides you are cute I never mind a cute boy in my room."

Serge took a small glance at Hannah, noting the striking similarities between the mother and daughter.

Colin:

Colin grinned, "With a book and a block of margarine... It's a ludicrous-sounding plan, I will admit, but it has worked in the future, so it ought to work now."

He is not so much friendly as very carefully indifferent and neutral."

"That actually makes allot of sense."
Richard said and nodded.
"A man like that would not be to thrilled about Larson and Abigail's plans and e might even think that their actions would extend the existence of well everything rather than expatiate it's slow decay, hum...well such a Nephandus is tolerable I guess..still creepy mind you but tolerable."

"Oh my if that is actually a scale from er Avatar, that would be proof."
Narim muttered he seamed quite surprised and shocked.
"If that scare was clean and it could be matched to her soul damn...what is this sand though...ah the one you told me about before that you wanted me to examine, I guess that is a topic for another time."

He nodded, "Thank you. And... if I may be so blunt, I suspect you will find that hurting a defenseless prisoner, even if it is to protect or aid the innocent, comes with a nasty price in the long run..."

"It is a price I am willing to pay, and I would off course make sure a prisoner hurt in such a way was given care and comfort once the ordeal was done."
Richard muttered defensively.
"But sometimes there are no time to be nice about it."

He grinned, "I don't think there'll be much need for sleeping on the sofa in that regard - the lawyer and I go back a while, and the doctor will... save Anna's life, soon enough. And I will elaborate later."

"That sounds good enough for me."
Freddy said firmly.

He nodded, "If you are tired, you can close your eyes and sleep. I will watch over you, make sure nothing you didn't agree to is done... Your Mentor would probably have my skin hanged up for posterity otherwise - and make sure I stayed alive to grow a new one."

"Master Morgan is probably scary when he is angry..."
Kyle muttered softly.
"I know you will watch over me Mr Wainwright but what if what I have agreed to are terrifying and I am afraid to go to sleep?"
He asked softly.

He shook his head, "Luv... for this, I need you to step back and let others do the hard part... much as it galls us both. Worst case scenario, the procedure could draw out the Primium in one intact lump, rather than dislodge the individual particles from one another. If that happens... there would be no saving you. Besides, I will need your help in the upcoming fight, I think - a communication link, when I go where phones don't work..."

Freddy looked at Kyle who was struggling not to fall asleep several timed and she was about to protest, opening and closing her mouth a few times then she finally said angrily.
"Ok...ok...however you two are going to make sure this is recorded properly and that you witness at Kyle's trial that he did this to help his future Chantrymates of his own free will, he will get something out of this and you will make sure to be gentle with him, and do not leave him alone!"
She demanded then she walked over to the boy and leaned him against her.
"Shhh sleep now child, all of this will soon be over then we will get you something good to eat and I will talk with Master Morgan about returning your gaming devices to you...shhh all will be well."
She hummed in a comforting tone of voice and Kyle's eyes slowly closed.

Serge:

"I'm familiar with freaky trance drawings. I've drawn a few myself." Serge said with a smile.

"Are yours as scary and freaky as the ones my sister paints?"
Bianca asked sounding a bit skeptical.

"I can make a snack as well if you like."
Bianca said as she went to the kitchen.
"Well to answer your questions in order, yes I have grown my own leaves, all plants are magickal it all depends on how you use them and yes I can make magick tea."
The Verbena replied.

"No problem. I'm surprised you saw me. I wasn't exactly in the middle of that fight. I kinda just stayed in the back." Serge said amazed at how Hannah had noticed him despite being in the clutches of the smile mother.

He reached out with his own hand and shook her hand politely.

Hannah smiled as she shook your hand.
"It always pays to be mindful of one's surroundings Mr Yager, seeing what is around you might net you a way to get out of a pinch."
She said.

"Thanks. I spent most of my life drawing alone in my room. It's like the one thing I'm good at." Serge said making small adjustments according to the girls suggestions.

"Yeah that's it...it is a pretty good likeness of my mother."
Hannah agreed.
"That would be her...so I guess this picture will be used when going after her and her Labyrinth then?"
She asked a little sadly then she sigh.
"Well she do need to be taken down."

Anja's Post:

'Revolutions happen when the current system has already failed what you say. I'm the implied threat - that if they don't give to you, I might take.'

Anja's Post:

Nicole parked up, switched off the engine. Pulling the knife from her boot, held out her gloved hand palm up. 'Chief owes me a glove, he does.' she muttered as she sliced a small hole no larger than a coin at the bottom of the palm revealing some form of rubberised plastic. A small click as though a cover being removed, then put the blade away. 'Might want to get into the driver's seat if you can drive; leave in a hurry, we might.' she replied as she clicked off the pistol's safety [though leaving it holstered] and got out of the car.

[Time for a new IC thread, I think?]

"How on earth will you be able to accomplish such a thing with a book and some plant butter?"
Richard sai and he looked at you as if you had gone insane.
Colin grinned even broader, "It relies heavily on additional information which should not be discussed here... suffice to say, sometimes a Labyrinth is not just a Labyrinth."

He nodded, "The sand is... well, you should see for yourself..."

"It is a price I am willing to pay, and I would off course make sure a prisoner hurt in such a way was given care and comfort once the ordeal was done."
Richard muttered defensively.
"But sometimes there are no time to be nice about it."
He nodded, "Mitigating the damage helps... but it's still one of the few cases where I accept the slippery slope argument."

"Master Morgan is probably scary when he is angry..."
Kyle muttered softly.
"I know you will watch over me Mr Wainwright but what if what I have agreed to are terrifying and I am afraid to go to sleep?"
He asked softly.
He smiled warmly, "Then I will still be there to keep an eye on you, even as you struggle against sleep."

Freddy looked at Kyle who was struggling not to fall asleep several timed and she was about to protest, opening and closing her mouth a few times then she finally said angrily.

Colin:

Colin grinned even broader, "It relies heavily on additional information which should not be discussed here... suffice to say, sometimes a Labyrinth is not just a Labyrinth."

"Very well some things should not be discussed in a public setting, I guess that I am going to have to trust that while your ideas are often insane my friend, they have a tendency to work."
Richard said and smiled a little.

He nodded, "Still a formal enemy, in the sense that our wishes for the world are polar opposites - but all the same a gentleman who can appreciate a live-and-let-live policy."

"True enough but if this is actually how the Jade Demon live then we should not need to move against him anytime soon, he can be left alone to await the end of the world that we try to prevent."
The Akashic said and nodded.

He nodded, "The sand is... well, you should see for yourself..."

Richard raised an eyebrow then he nodded.
"I am going to have to wait then."
He said.

He nodded, "Mitigating the damage helps... but it's still one of the few cases where I accept the slippery slope argument."

"Very well let us agree to disagree on that point, but I am not going to force your hand in such a matter when we are cooperating on something."

He smiled warmly, "Then I will still be there to keep an eye on you, even as you struggle against sleep."

Kyle looked at you wide eyed then he nodded and could not suppress a yawn though he was still afraid and struggling against the sedation.

He nodded, "Agreed, this should be clearly reflected in his trial. I will gladly testify on his behalf. Doctor?"

"Off course I will testify on the boy's behalf."
Richard said then he found a wheelchair that stood in a corner and folded it out.
"Ok let us get him to the scan, if you help me lift him Colin, and be careful with this foot."
The doctor said then he looked at Freddy.
"What about you...do you want to rest a little?"
He asked and Freddy shook her head.
"No, I would want to go with Kyle but to many people in the examination room would just clutter it I see well enough now to get around, and I know this hospital by heart, I will go to the cafeteria but be careful with Kyle Richard remember he is not just a Fallen mage, he is a kid..."
She told Richard sternly and the Akashic nodded.
"I will do nothing he have not consented to Freddy."
He agreed. Freddy took your hand for a moment.
"I will see you later then love..."
She muttered clearly not happy that Kyle would go through with this testing and still scared herself but hiding it.
"I am going to go and hunt down the most unhealthy, sugar filled meal in the cafeteria."

Nicole:

'Not opposed to people having money, opposed to people using the means of production as a plaything.'

"That is true enough we are using far more of the planet's resources than we should, but this is a deeper problem that is not easy to solve."
Narim said and nodded.

'Revolutions happen when the current system has already failed what you say. And your argument leads to "support the system, however bad for anarchy is worse".' then Nicole gave a short laugh which hit her slightly rough voice. 'And you don't get it, really. I'm the implied threat - that if they don't give to you, I might take.'

"I see, well I guess we are going to have to hope my way works then Miss, and that things do not get to the point where your ways are needed."
The Virtual Adept said softly.

"I can drive a car yes, I will be ready if we have to get out of here at some speed Miss, however if we really need to flee then it is doubtful we will be driving we will just be in a safer location."
Narim agreed, he looked at your hand and raised an eyebrow.
"Cybernetics? Interesting it seams to be well made. Anyway be careful Miss."
He said. You got out of the car and then saw the young woman in the hoodie hurry into a back ally, she was some distance from you but you might be able to walk up to you, right now she was looking back towards the diner probably keeping her attention on Jeffry's team and she was not paying attention to you.

(OOC: That is correct I was however attending my weekly support group meeting yesterday and did not have the time to write up the log for this thread. I hope to get it done today.)
