Fuck...' she replied to nobody in particular, swiping away another of the beings, using her artificial arm as a bat. In exercise terms, this wasn't that strenuous, but she was acutely aware that not only did she not know how much longer they needed to hold out but her 'load' was increasing as others ran out of energy, ammo or both. When it looked like there was a pause in new enemies to deal with, she very quickly looked around the room to see how everyone else was holding up.

One of the other Etherites, you think the large man you spoke to earlier had thrown a disc onto the ground, it made a square force field appear and he had protected several civilians inside of the field, they where safe. The former security guard and the martial artist was doing ok but they had several bites. The Star Wars fan was still shooting away but she had some nasty cuts. The man with the six fingers where chanting and blasting away but he was quickly running out of steam, the other Awakened was down either unconsious or trying to get back on their feet. The other civilians had taken refuge under a table swatting away with chair legs to try to keep the shadow things out. Somewhere a little kid was screaming in fear. You did hear Colin call your name, the kitchen was the next room but off course it was a bit muffled.

Serge was happy with his spell and the fact that the fighting seemed to have died down and the fallen mages seemed to have been mostly taken out. With the arrival of Master Morgan their victory was all but assured.

Now he was watching the screens intently, constantly switching between monitors to ensure that everyone was all right. Nicole and civilians seemed to be able to fight back against the shadow creatures, though Serge kept an eye out in case they needed his help.

What he wanted to focus on was the two fallen mages who had attacked them. Specifically what they looked like. He searched for a screen that showed what the inside of the ventilation system looked like and the state of the two fallen mage.

Serge said throwing away the screen which contained the headache inducing ward.

"Huh. Guess he decided to skip getting a mental ward...or a bullet blocking ward." he said under his breath until the sound of a child screaming forced him to look at Nicole and her situation.

"Dammit! Why are those things even still around! It's a basic rule. When the summoner goes down so do their SUMMONS." Serge said as he began drawing on the kitchen schematic, once again enforcing his own rules onto the current story.

He drew the shadow creatures fading away, as well as an image of their summoner, Dahlia, in a pool of their own blood to justify to the world why the creatures should be weakening.

(OOC: Corr 2, Entropy 2 to raise the difficulty of the Kitchen shadow creatures attacks and dodges. If I can't effect them all Serge will focus on the ones who are attacking innocents, followed by the ones who seem to be struggling the most against them.

"I mean it really depend on whatever the summoner is keeping the Umbrood in this world or if they just opened the door for them, if they are keeping them in the world then the spirit would vanish if the summoner is no longer able to work their magic but if they just opened the door the spirit are free to act as it please until it run out of juice."
Beatrice said.
"So everyone are alive and ok? That is good."
She muttered sounding concerned.
"As for wards, I mean it is something you have to expect in combat. I certainly use them."

He drew the shadow creatures fading away, as well as an image of their summoner, Dahlia, in a pool of their own blood to justify to the world why the creatures should be weakening.

Trying to affect the spirits was like touching air, your will just went through them as you lacked the understanding of what they where of what Ephemera was and they just ignored you. Likely you would have to focus on boosting the luck of the defenders rather than trying to affect the spirits as long as you did not study Spirit yourself.

You notice the corners that had been filled with shadows was clearing up as you smack one more of the creatures back into the Umbra forcing it to abandon it's flimsy physical form. There was quite a few more swirling around and trying to get to the civilians, but with no more coming the defenders was making short work of them. One of the spirits tried to rush between your legs to get to the table several folks was hiding under.

Colin listened more for Nicole's tone than the exact words, and nodded, "Not a crisis there yet, then."

"I will see what I can do."
Jonas said he picked up his radio.
"Can you arrange for a teleport of two suspects from here to a holding cell and call for a medic for one of them? Ok standing by"
Jeffry nodded and he started his working. Another explosion came out of the tunnel as the survivor did not feel like going down quietly.

He gave Jonas a nod, "Master Morgan has this... I'll help mop up out there."

Striding back out through the door, he drew in ambient light to create a simple burst of light, holding it close until the cafeteria crowd were warned, "Cover your eyes, everyone, I'm shining a light on the shadows in 3, 2, 1..."

"I hope everyone out in the cafeteria are safe."
Jonas muttered sounding worried.

He gave Jonas a nod, "Master Morgan has this... I'll help mop up out there."

"Very well, thank you for your aid Mr Wainwright I will assist Master Morgan."
Jonas said, he was still fussing over his downed collage but he picket up his radio again and was ready to give the order to teleport out the attackers.

Striding back out through the door, he drew in ambient light to create a simple burst of light, holding it close until the cafeteria crowd were warned, "Cover your eyes, everyone, I'm shining a light on the shadows in 3, 2, 1..."

FLASH!

You saw the civilians and the combatants scattered though the cafeteria cover their eyes and you released your effect, for one moment the room was filled with bright light, the shadow creatures broke of their attack for a moment to seek dark places, some just vanished and others seamed in pain or disoriented. The girl in the Star Wars shirt started shooting and soon the other defenders started taking advantage of the temporary reprieve to do as much damage as possible on the spirits.

A slight frown as she moved to kick back the creature trying to sneak through her legs; wondering if this was simply a small lull in the attack. Eyes darted immediately to the door as it opened, turned back on realising it wasn't another hostile. Shielded her eyes with her arm when instructed, then continued to hold position against the creatures.

A slight frown as she moved to kick back the creature trying to sneak through her legs; wondering if this was simply a small lull in the attack. Eyes darted immediately to the door as it opened, turned back on realising it wasn't another hostile. Shielded her eyes with her arm when instructed, then continued to hold position against the creatures.

You see black spots and after images of the light but you also see the light hurt the shadow creatures and some of them have perished, the rest seamed helpless and confused for a moment giving you and the other defenders a chance to take most of them out, still no new creatures seamed to be emerging from the corners that now looked normal.

He stepped over toward the cowering attendees, swinging at any shadows still trying to attack them with the staff, pushing them back, "These chaps are vulnerable to bright light, it seems - laser weapons might be preferable to ballistics."

"I have a side arm."
The girl in the Star Wars shirt said.
"It is a ray weapon."
She added, though you could see most of the shadow creatures was now dealt with with just a few of them still milling about in a daze.
