The vampire said as she watched your finger as you marked the map.

"It will not hurt her," he said. "I will take a square thing out of my pocket. I will repeat what I just said so that I remember it for later and then put it away again," he explained.

"They spoke...into square things when they hurt Ellen...the brain is...completely decomposed and shriveled...then the sound of drilling and pain...something sharp...feeling confused...no electrical signals...though subjects eye movements...and sounds show signs of pain...I will try...to stimulate with...voltage..."
She muttered whimpering more and clearly getting upset.
"Things cut...and drill...and burn...scared...can not move...can not defend herself...alone..."
She said whimpering and trying to curl more together but not being coordinated enough to do so.

Perhaps you'll have an opportunity to add it to your repertoire - it's essentially a quintessence funnel of sorts, but explaining it within a terminology that would be easily comprehensible for you would take a little bit of work on my part... Tell you what, I'll see if I can have something figured out before I return home, and if I can manage to teach you, you'll owe me a favour later?"

You see the usual mirror...but there are no face there this time, as you look at the mirror it suddenly shatters into a thousand pieces and beyond you see lights, nothing more though, just darkness and points of light and as you look down you see the shattered splinters of glass on the floor spell out one word...Mia. Then the vision of your inner nature vanish as smoke on a hot summer day.

The Node chamber still glowed with it's energies floating along the flow, like a fairytale pond, the slowly moving. Your Avatar did not feel to be in the mood to reveal anything more thong for it felt just there like it always did, there deep in your consciousness but not stepping to the forefront.

Cadence tried her best to get away from you at Antonio gave her a worried look before leaving the car to drive Alessa's car to the Chantry. Cadence's song was sad and confused but it was not only darkness there, she did not sit still though and was making her injuries worse but fighting though and she groaned.

You get to Steelhaven's garage and stop the car. One of your companions have probably sent a message to Chief Morgan telling him that you where on the way for the old Flambeau, Ingmar Rush, Henrietta and a black, athletic looking man you had seen around the Chantry but not be introduced to yet stood waiting for the cars.

The Node chamber is pretty far underground so your cell phone reception is not great but you can get a video started though it run a bit choppy.

"There is no legal grounds to protect her Tane...and in the case where such a cleansing might have happened, it took place over months and years of long Seekings and soul searching it is not a quick process that can be done before a trial comes up. With a widderslainte that have never served the Nephandi there are some legal sounds that can be argued, with a Nephandus there is nothing, she can not be helped."

"You can take her to Master Telar if she is a valid match for Miss Alexander there might be legal grounds to take what is needed before she is sent to Horizon but even that are on shaky grounds probably she must through a trial first and then if she is a valid donor a bit of her soul can be harvested before she is...Gilgulled...I am afraid I can not help Tane there just are no legal grounds to save her, and I can not keep another prisoner, have a healer take care of her wounds, Master Telar have a look at her and find out what she knows if you can and then we need to send her to one of the other Chantries to be kept there until a ship can take her to Horizon."

The vampire said and looked at you, then when you promised to play with her ball she tried to smile...though she found it hard to move her facial muscles and exposing her inch long fangs...the front teeth this time, did not make her monstrous appearance any better.

The Mercere gave you a bit of a smile but she was clearly concerned for the vampire's fate.

You come back into the room and the vampire with some difficulty rolled the ball over to you as she looked at the maps and explanations you had written down.
"She remember the woman with...the scars being...dangerous...and the...center of the structure change and twist...and move...Ellen's Sire built five sets of rooms that...alternate...mages can do many strange things..."
The vampire muttered.
"But this path...bypass that...for the servants...the pawns...the ones who weep."

[Adley]

"Yes, the woman with scars is dangerous," he agreed with a frown. He returned the ball to her as he listened and spoke with her. "Five sets of rooms...that alternate, very clever," he said, recalling the map the Nephandi had drawn up. "Does Ellen know anything else about thisevrooms?"

"She hates everyone...but those that would be her childes...Ellen do not know what...mages call them..."
The vampire said she struggled to grab the ball but managed to roll it back to you.
"Ellen's Sire was...clever...yes she remembers the...room set up...for the rotating center...she helped build it. But she...do not know where they...go when they are not...real, that she do not...understand."

"Her...childes, she had more than one?" Then he took the ball back, skirting it over again to her "These rooms, can Ellen tell me a bit about the room set up for the rotating center?"

"The woman...with the scars...had two...but she cared about...one of them...more..."
The vampire said she reached for the ball clumsily and managed to roll it back.
"Ellen can try...they are all ten rooms in a circle, but the size and where doors...are located vary and they lead to the center room...with the fleshy thing...like a Roman villa...the rooms are libraries...and rooms for rituals...and such rooms that mages like Ellen's Sire told her..."

"Is that so? Can Ellen tell us about thise two? Their names, or what they looked like? Also, you said Ellen could tell mages from their eyes. And the difference between some from those like the scarred woman with the dark eyes and her kind that we try to stop." He listened to the layout and gave her a slow nod. "The pawns that use the secret way inside, does Ellen know if they needed a key, token or something like that to be granted entry?"

[Anja Rebekka Schultze]

"Yes...Ellen remember them...one was a woman named Martha...she was very quiet, she read many books she was the scarred woman's favorite...the other was named Denise with human language...but they often spoke in screeches and screams that hurt Ellen's ears...her name was in that...language...she was the Chief of Security..."
The vampire said.
"Martha was pretty, with brown hair...and large eyes...she was a little plump...she looked like a housewife from...the magazines...Denise was tall and thin...a tomboy...short hair...sharp nose...very stern looking..."
She said and had to wait for a few moments to gather strength after speaking so much at once.
"Yes Ellen can...tell mages from...their eyes...there is fire in yours...but I do not fear...the flames..."
The Nosferatu looked at you.
"No...tokens or keys for the...tunnel...but magic...might have been added later for more...protection like in the old structure."
The creature muttered and she sounded tired, she was still playing with that ball though.

Colin frowned, "Some good, some ill... and some inevitable and overdue, perhaps... Change, in and of itself, is crucial; it's growth and decay, living and dying; it's... well, stagnation is the Technocrat thing, so I suppose change is out end of the stick."

"Not for the most part no, but we where talking about one of the Nine Primi, very few that are actually a part of the Consensus are aware of them so then we are dealing with conscious though not a general agreement on the nature of reality."

He smiled slyly, "And if only our conscious thoughts come into play, why did you have to catch yourself before using the Honored Seat of Forces'... very particular honorific? No, your almost-slip is safe with me."

He lowered the video quality for a little better stability and kept working until someone else arrived...

((OOC: Technically, Colin's not trying to make a Linear Magic rote at this point - just breaking the rote down to the absolute basic components, so he can later instruct others more easily across Paradigms. "Some changes are probably overdue yes, and stagnation is not good. I guess we are all going to have to wait and see what the future will hold for us and for the Traditions."
Patricia said and nodded.

"We are not many enough to give the same effect as the consensus with unconscious thoughts so being famous do not protect a mage that give out their true name, that is my point not that a mage never have unconscious thoughts off course we do."
Patricia said sounding a bit irritated.
"And thank you, I would not want to make that man angry with me."

He lowered the video quality for a little better stability and kept working until someone else arrived...

There seamed the video would run a little better when you lower the quality. Your work with simplifying your rote though where slow going and you did not seam to wrap your head around it very well though you at least had a beginning for the work in mind now. After a while you get a text message from Chief Joakim that said.
"I have set up to contact the Brothers when you and Mr RH is ready."

"I see, that is all quite useful," he said. For a while, seeing she was tiring, he rolled the ball back and forth to her quietly. Then ge saud, " I need to be going for now but if it is alright with you and Ellen I may come back to talk again sometime." He collected any notes he had and the paint and added, "Thank you again." He nodded to the Mercere, "Thank you as well," and went to leave the room, stopping on the other side to jot down a few notes.
