The blond man just nodded, he turned back to his car and put some lids back on and closed the lid to the engine to finish up before dinner, he did not seam like he was paying any more attention to the guests and focused on getting his tasks done before the evening meal.

Not only defense, but pooling resourses, learning and companionship, also. You know and understand what it is to know more than the normal people and be alone. It's good to have people that understand you, even if you only can argue with them.

"I'd rather not be talking out here in the garage, you know," Adley said in a tired voice, grabbing the cuffs out of the car and putting them in his coat. "Especially considering what we just heard." He sighed, then scratched out a note, warily then handed it to Colin. 'Tell him about the KIA as well. Keep them both off the streets because Tremere, ward the place against vampires. And he will have to be told about Molly since she is not here. She was sent home with an escort. At least this way she's not in a cell next to her torturer. I will follow up on the phone call, see if F. got some help figuring it out. Call in home possibly. Then we should figure out what to do with J., see if whatever we know about O. can help you pin down A. - you've made better headway with her than me.'

"Sound good?" he said, handing it over as he walked inside, waiting for it to be returned to him so he could destroy it.

Henrietta said in a concerned tone of voice.
"There is a mage living in a Chantry near here who got Branded, as in they pulled his Avatar out of his soul and marked it like you would a cow...his crime? He defended the rights of women in the Sons of Ether and insulted someone more powerful than him, all over the Traditions there are magi who have been flogged, tortured, branded both physically and spiritually, sent on near suicide missions, had most of their belongings confiscated, had their familiars executed, or been sold into indentured servitude for relatively minor crimes...this society we are a part of are old, stagnant and brutal my new friend, and I would not like to see you accidentally make a mistake and being hauled off to face a Tribunal."
The hedge wizard muttered and sigh.
"All the supernatural societies have hard laws and ours are no different Tane. Now as for explaining the laws to Lily that is a major undertaking since we have the Protocols, additions to the Protocols, interpretations of them, common practice, Precedence, individual Tradition laws and Codes and how they work with the laws of other Traditions' laws, precedence and Chantry rules, I am willing to help out but there is a limit to how much time I can take of my own duties and studies to train another, so this will have to be the responsibility of her own mentor...however you should learn those laws Tane, you really should, that you are a healer will not protect you, so is little Beatrice Alexander it protected her shit."

The spirit said from the walls, and that seamed to be all he had to add to that. As you sit there and Alessa have just handed you the first aid kit your phone rings.

Adley:

"Sound good?" he said, handing it over as he walked inside, waiting for it to be returned to him so he could destroy it.

Inside the smell of dinner reach all out into the entrance all, and you see a steady stream of magi on their way down the steps and into the room that from the smells have to be the kitchen or the cafeteria, some walked alone others in small groups talking together. You see Simon Black on his way down with a short, Arabic looking young man his own age, a tall, black haired boy dressed in Goth clothes and make up followed behind them seemingly somewhat interested in their discussion. You see little Meg being lead towards the dining room by a slender girl with several symbols carved into her skin, all skin you could see that was not covered by her rainbow striped top and jeans was full of various symbols, all seemingly done by making scars with a knife.

Just because it is dangerous you think anyone has the right to allow atrocities to be commited in the name of political status quo? that's fear, and fear leads only to the dark and pain. Tane answered a little frustrated

I know they can do a lot of fdamage to most of my eternal soul... but knowing the risks, i would still have done something to protect Beatrice, for example. That's not an excuse. He said with a hard face But i'd learn them, sometime. Just for you. Tane said with a little smile. Maybe you can enlighten us with the moooooost basic ones

And you may now forge new vivencies with other people. Tane said with a smile.

You get to Joakim's office and knock on the door, after a while the tall, thin hedge wizard opens and gaze outside.
"Ah Mr Wainwright do come in what can I do for you?"
He asked he showed you in, one of the chairs in his office was occupied by a young, pale teenage boy that had a skittish look about him and large sad eyes.
"Thomas, very well we will work on your hand gestures for Ignem next lesson, go on to dinner and I will join you shortly."
Joakim said to the boy in a kind tone of voice and the teenager stood up, he gave Colin a quick bow and left the room.
"My apprentice..."
The hedge wizard explained.
"Now did you save the woman you found our Nephandi prisoner had in her apartment Mr Wainwright?"
He asked once the teenager had left.

"I am not saying I agree with all the laws Tane, however I would prefer to know what I am doing if I decide not to follow one and what I am risking by doing so, plus there are many laws that are not bad in themselves, but that one might accidentally break anyway since they are not obvious, knowing the laws of a society you are a member of is the only responsible thing to do."

Conspire not with the enemies of the Ascension, this is a tricky one since none can agree on what it means, to some it means any contact with a member of another faction, to others only contact that put the Traditions in harm and it is often used to get you if someone in power want you punished, oh so you have a Technocrat contact that you are somewhat friendly with, got you. It is a law that needs to be properly defined."
The hedge wizard sigh then she continue.
"Protect the sleepers they are ignorant of what they do. This simply means do not be a dick to sleepers, other supernaturals and those such as myself are not protected by this though since we are not technically sleepers so some mages take full advantage of that to be as much dicks as they can to us. He asked, and no it did not seam like the Umbrood had much to say about anything but the walls and roof, it was caring, but it was the house the scope of it's understanding was limited.

She asked and nodded towards the slowly eating Rokea girl.

He glanced at the passer-by and gave a look of longing at the kitchen. He was hungry now on top of it. "Yes, well..." He pointed out part of the note again :'because Tremere, ward the place against vampires.' before stowing it away, wondering if he'd forgotten something. "I'll try to track down the others. If you happen to see them let them know." He really would have figured this place would have at least an extensive system of wards as Steelhaven, but considering what the man in the garage had said, one could not make assumptions. He gave a nod to Colin as they parted and went to check the room to see if Freddy was there.

You get to the room your group had been given the use of and indeed you find Freddy and Francesca there. Liv you see, tired from the day's events, and she should be tired she was only a child and had seen men get gunned down and killed right in front of her and been rescued from her captors, where sleeping on the sofa covered by a blanket. Freddy sat with her tablet now on a charger reading something and Francesca seamed to be keeping guard for she was on her feet as you enter the room but then relax when she sees you.
"Adley hi, how did it go?"
The Euthanatos asked. Freddy looked up as well.
"Did you get that girl out?"
She asked then she looked around and narrowed her eyes.
"Where is Colin...and the rest?"
She asked then looked down at her computer again.
"I am still checking into that hospital, Malden and the other things I was asked to read up on."
She informed you.

(OOC: Yeah that and because Nephandi and stubborn Tradition laws. )

He nodded Francesca and then Freddy as he came inside, glad to see them but looking tired. He looked at Liv for a moment with a small smile before the peppering of questions began. Then he took a seat and started to explain. "We did get the girl out...but it's complicated. Adjan is with her and will hopefully be back after he is done escorting her." He sighed. "Colin is explaining what's happened to the Chief here and will be back so we can talk about what happened and what to do with our prisoner. We did find out something that might be useful, hopefully." He said to Freddy, "Thank you. Did you happen to find someone to work on getting Martha's message put together with some time ars? And are you alright?" Then he frowned. "We ran into some vampires or their friends, probably looking for Liv. I should check you all over again, to see if there's anything on you as well...and maybe check the KIA." He pressed a hand to his face and scrubbed at it. "They used some type of tracking magick on us and the car. Hopefully the wards here will prevent it but I should look anyway."

She added but while she was clearly curious she did not inquire further as it was clear the Hermetic really did not want to go into details about it right now.

Freddy asked.

"We ran into some vampires or their friends, probably looking for Liv. I should check you all over again, to see if there's anything on you as well...and maybe check the KIA." Both of the young mages nodded their consent to being checked for any tracking magick again though Francesca gave Adley a stern look.
"Freddy is right, you look like you might keel over, you need to rest Adley, are you sure you should work more magick right now? We should be rather safe from vampires in the middle of a huge Chantry."
She said and indicated a chair.
"Sit, I was planning on going down to the cafeteria and get us all some dinner, some food will do you both good."

"As much as I feel we should be safe, well...I'd rather be sure we didn't bring something in with us, since it seems the Tremere did something after we checked last time. Food will be good, though. Something to keep me awake would be welcome, something that will not affect my spiritual energies or resonances too much." Then he said, "If i find something and I feel like I'm too tired to work on it myself, I'll request assistance," he suggested as compromise. "Be careful going out I don't like anyone being alone right now...I know it makes me sound paranoid but one of the first things I re-learned this week was that complacency was deadly."

Alessa said and smiles before she took the first aid kit and walked over to Paulina.
"So would you like to lay down for this?"

She replied and Alessa sigh and knelt down to tend to the Rokea's side while she was sitting by the table.
"Food indeed, well I guess it is for the best, as long as your mouth is busy eating you will not be biting me if this hurts."
She joked as she got to work.

You hear Cita's voice over the phone.
"Tane? It is Cita Telar, I am sorry to bother you but are you on the docks? There have been an accident of some kind with one of the members of Chantry Riverside, if you are not busy could you check what have happened for me, and how seriously injured the Dreamspeaker in question is so I can determine if I have to go to her and help her or if it is safe to bring her to Steelhaven so I do not have to leave my apprentices?"
She asked sounding somewhat stressed.

Adley:

"Yes, Colin is safe. And hopefully - Colin has made some headway with her, so this might work. We found out that she had an apprentice..."

"Ah well that is often a sore spot, if we threaten her apprentice she might be willing to talk to not have the Traditions look to closely into finding him or her."
Freddy said and nodded.
"Perhaps we can find out what is going on here."
She said hopefully.
"Without having to resort to more barbaric methods."
She muttered and looked displeased at the thought.

"Good, maybe it can give us something on how to poke that particular wasp nest."

"If you watch over Liv for a moment I can go and talk with Master Harris and see if the file is done."
Freddy offered.

You sit watching over Liv who is sleeping surprisingly peacefully for a child that had been kidnapped and nearly made into a vampire's bride. As you sit there you notice you Avatar watching you and somehow you know that in not to long a Seeking is coming, perhaps not right away, but it would come, it was not so surprising after all you had been through this week that your soul might want a little chat, but his timing could be better.

He nodded at her explanation and as she said she would work on it. "Well, maybe not -nearly-..." he amended, seeing her eyes narrow. "Colin pulled something that was highly effective, but I'll let him tell you about that," he said with a grin. "I think I'll be alright," he said.

He rubbed the back of his hands over his eyes as he feels himself being watched...but this wasn't a bad thing, for once. Unless he was seeing things...that would be bad. He was tired enough but he didn't think that was the case. And at least there weren't visions of dying this time. He wondered if he should be getting used to that...or if it would continue to be as shocking as it had to each host that had faced it. No necessary choices whispered to him this time. Different than that as well but hardly a break - he wondered what he thought of his decision. He raised a hand towards his avatar as if to say hello, not unlike as he had to Embra, oblivious how odd that might look to anyone walking in the room. "I see you," he said. Soon, he thought. When was the question, with all this going on...he couldn't afford to sleep through things. Not when he was needed.

He nodded at her explanation and as she said she would work on it. "Well, maybe not -nearly-..." he amended, seeing her eyes narrow. "Colin pulled something that was highly effective, but I'll let him tell you about that," he said with a grin. "I think I'll be alright," he said.

"Well Colin do tend to be resourceful...unconventional, but resourceful."
Freddy commented and smiles before she headed out.
"Well luckily you all came back in one piece, well all save Adjan but I do hope he will be alright as well, he is an Adept and he can kick some ass...I am sure he will be fine."
The Virtual Adept said before she closed the door, sounding more like she was trying to convince herself that every member of her party was fine than Adley.

You hear before he retreated back into his home in your soul, and you got the sense that he had agreed to hold of on the Seeking until you had the time to deal with it, or at least hold out for now, but he would not wait forever, for while he could see the world through your eyes, he could not fully grasp it, and the problems of your Chantry seamed insignificant compared to his goal to lead you towards Ascension, but for now the angel of fire would wait, and you feel his warmth as he retreated back to be a part of your soul.

He hoped so too but didn't say anything out loud. The more he thought about that situation, the more he would worry and there wasn't anything he could do to improve Adjan's situation at the moment. So he focused on the girl that was sleeping, and needed someone to watch over her.

"Soon," he echoed. Then after a moment, "My dance card is suddenly very, very full..." he said with a sigh, feeling the sensations of light retreating from the front of his consciousness. He felt better, though. Looking at Liv, he adjusted her blanket and waited for the others to return, debating calling home. He suddenly missed it and all the people there, very very much.

Colin gave Joakim a quick, deferential bow, and a slightly less deferential bow to Thomas, and waited for the apprentice to leave, "Well, the rescue mission was a sort of success... We did learn a few things that could have become significantly more dangerous under more critical circumstances. Er, let me start at the approximate beginning..."
He took a deep breath, "We located the apartment belonging to miss Jerkins. It was essentially undefended; likely to avoid Union scrutiny, though the neighbourhood is... well, decaying. Be that as it may, we located some notes written by miss Jerkins, as well as her prisoner, a Molly Aydoǧan, of Chantry Umbra Gladii. We opted for a sufficiently distant motel for a quick debriefing, to spare your safehouse. While there, we found that miss Aydoǧan turned out to be a widderslainte - so innocent of demeanor that that aspect had never been discovered before - and as she had essentially been grabbed off the street while on a shopping run, she had no knowledge of the current situation. Also, we discovered we were being observed; likely some mundane mortal henchman for the vampire boy Nicolai. We let him leave the area without incident and departed as quickly as circumstances would allow, but it appears Nicolai is aware of the cars used to visit his apartment earlier, and has some skill with divination. Not much ability, fortunately - I managed to, hm, scramble the resonance of the car and passengers; a neat little trick I'll have to formally describe for dissemination at some point - but I fear the Toyota and the Kia need to be kept under wraps for a few nights. Additionally, you may want to prepare for a vampire attack if the little snot can manage to locate the cars again. In any case, we managed to slip away to the Umbra for a few moments to hide from the pursuers after we threw off their tracking, and decided to send miss Aydoǧan back to her own chantry with an escort, which is why Mr. Terach did not return here with us. It seemed just wrong to put her in a cell next to her torturer, you know... Mr. Terach should presumably return in not too long; he's quite a swift runner along the Umbral pathways."
He sighed, "And I ought to apologize to Madame Rose for letting her car be traced like that... That was unfortunate, to say the least."
He pondered, "That said, would it be permissible for me to borrow the use of a secure chamber for a small experiment? It would likely be somewhat... conflagratory, on a small scale."
