Cita asked confused.

"You said it yourself. They could do any number of things. But first they'd have to get through the wards." he explained. "Of course, they could probably scan our wards without having to but through them."

Anja wrote:"I have not gone through all of them yet as that takes time but I have run them through algorithms trying to find anything mage related, there is nothing of that, just what you would expect, texts from friends, calls to pizza places, searches for porn, they have had the good senses to keep their more usual activities off their phones."

"Don't most phones store location data on them? Data on where the phone has been and stuff like that." Serge mused, "If we're lucky enough that our prisoner's didn't think to wipe that sort of information from there phones then we could use that to figure out where there base of operation is, if they have one. A location that all three of them have visited semi-frequently would certainly be a touch suspicious."

"You said it yourself. They could do any number of things. But first they'd have to get through the wards." he explained. "Of course, they could probably scan our wards without having to but through them."

"Ah you meant getting through the wards as that one thing. Well yes and they could scan the wards if they where careful and not set them off."
Cita said as realization of what you meant dawned on her.

"There are location data but Mr Yager you have to understand that analyzing it to get something useful from it tend to take far longer than in the movie, these three men where friends so off course they had many places where they would all three be, Billy's pizzeria, a cinema not far from their homes, a mall that is not to far from the three men's apartments allot of places where it is completely natural for them to meet and so far that is all I have found, them visiting one another's home and meeting in places where people would meet. It might be more here and I am still analyzing the data, but unlike the movies you can nto just plug in a phone and boom all the person's suspicious behavior is right there. We have few things for us to search for which mean going methodically through all that is there and that takes time."
Cita replied.

Anja wrote:Master Davenport's program to allow text messages to and from the Labyrinth seamed to be working for after a short while you got a reply back that said.
"Sure, I can come out to Steelhaven I am at the Umbra port."
Colin smiled wryly, then typed back, 'Capital. We're still on the job, so we'll see you there once things are settled here.'
Then he nodded to Grey, "Mr. Tasselwell will meet us at Steelhaven. I'm sure a room can be arranged for the occasion, unless you'd prefer to bring him home with you, so you can sleep in your own bed."

Anja wrote:"They are powered by Quintessence put into them when they where created and when they are maintained."
Tali replied.
"So yes there might be a bit of work for you to do indeed Traditionalist, and some of those wards are not friendly."
He frowned, "Joy... Well, at least I'll have expert help in detecting and dismantling them..."

S7trif3 wrote:"They will be expecting common mage tricks, so perhaps we should attempt to use something a little different...they may not expect us to target the bond to strengthen your husband, or perhaps we can link it to ourselves to get some type of sense of what we're up against. "But, another idea...perhaps we can use shadows to draw their attention, make it appear that there is someone approaching?" he glanced towards the vampire.
Anja wrote:"Given the circumstances I do not think he would mind but I would not want him to be put in more danger, however if we can get an edge on getting him out of here that would be a good thing."
The Verbena said sounding concerned.
"I do not know how to do the magick you suggest though Mr Roth Hicks but I could allow someone to use my link to my husband to see what could be found out."
She said Mr Amelie nodded.
"I can certainly do that."
He informed you.
"And teleport short distances though shadows as well to get into position, but I am not much of a fighter on my own."
He paused, "She kills with a touch... Tali, do you know what that touch would do to the undead, or to an, er, imaginary friend?"

Anja wrote:"Yeah...fantastic...who are going to stay behind at the marble room and who is going after the Chronomancer by the way?"
Gray asked.
He nodded, "Good point... Who volunteers for which duty?"

You got a reply back from Mr Tasselwell that said.
"Okey let me know, I am spending the night at the Umbra port motel so call me when you are ready and good luck."
Gray looked a bit uncomfortable.
"Whatever is the most convenient for your friend really I do not want to be a bother but there is a bit of a drive back to Golden Rose so it is probably best to drink somewhere in Boston."

He frowned, "Joy... Well, at least I'll have expert help in detecting and dismantling them..."

"I assume you then mean experts among the Traditions for I doubt I will be allowed to live long enough to help with that."
Tali said with a bit of a sad smile.

He paused, "She kills with a touch... Tali, do you know what that touch would do to the undead, or to an, er, imaginary friend?"

"Her power affects life patterns so no, a vampire should be safe...as for an imaginary friend...I would not really know."
The Keeper said with a shrug.

He nodded, "Good point... Who volunteers for which duty?"

"I should probably go to help with the Chronomancer."
Ryan said.
"And you might need a healer."
Said Amber Rose.
"I might be better of use here when you hunt down the man who can manipulate time Mr Wainwright but I will be happy to help you free prisoners, since I will not be affected by the woman who's touch cause death I might be of aid."
Mr Amelie said.

"I can best aid you where I can communicate with my Labyrinth in peace."
She commented.
"I am not skilled in combat but I am a Master of the Art I might be useful taking down this Rust fellow."
Darrian said and he leaned on his cane while checking potions in the pockets of his coat.

Nicole will fire at the woman again, unless she fell out of range - in which she'll move position to get a decent shot of the enemy...

You aimed at the woman with the ability to summon snakes, more of the critters now moved up your body and you felt a bite on your flesh arm, it burned but was ntot o bad. You fired at the woman and hit her in the head, she went down in a heap and suddenly, just like that all the snakes was gone as their mistress died.

(OOC 2: I started playing Warhammer FB because someone in the computer gaming group I was in played, that lead to MtG then I saw roleplayign games in the same stores I bought cards and miniatures so I wished for money for my 16th birthday and ended up getting the core book and several other books for Vampire the Masquerade and that is how I started playing.)
(OOC: Rodger Tasslewell would have liked Warp's D&D character. Razz )

Nicole ignored the pain as she fired; or more correctly simply denied it's existence. A trick you couldn't do for long. As soon as the target was quite obviously down, she quickly scanned for the best next target...

[I never went into that stuff. No cards, no miniatures. Don't even really do comics or suchlike. I only got VtM:B because I was looking for a new roleplaying game for my PC which wasn't high fantasy.]

Nicole ignored the pain as she fired; or more correctly simply denied it's existence. A trick you couldn't do for long. As soon as the target was quite obviously down, she quickly scanned for the best next target...

You arm where you had been bitten was staring to feel numb as you searched for a new target. You saw one of the vampires doing his best to take down Axel who was trying to drag one of your allies to safety, a bullet might not kill the vampire but might slow him down so Axel could get the wounded mage to safety. The vampire was a woman with pale blond hair and large blue eyes, she would have been stunning if she was not undead, to some she would still be stunning, the woman was wearing a red dress and leather boots.

(OOC: I have always loved fantasy stuff, the earliest book I can remember my mother reading to me as a child was about a ghost who was exposed to sunlight so he turned black, this was a problem as he could not be seen at night so he went on a quest to turn sheet white again. I loved science fiction, fantasy and horror so I fell for games that involve such elements. My first exposure to the World of Darkness was watching Kindred the Embraced when I was 14 though.)

She is a tall, bit heavyset woman with dark blond hair usually in a ponytail, she have blue eyes and pale skin, usually wearing jeans and a tshirt." Tali replied.

He nodded to that.

Well I can slow someone down, slowing them down in time I mean."
Ryan chimed in and Amber Rose said.
"That are pretty sound tactics...some shrubbery goring up suddenly, aggressive shrubbery might slow them down as well, or just making them sick, I can manage that without touching them."
The Verbena said and Anna nodded.
"A wind of mundane silence or something similar might slow them down as well Invested infernalists are magical after all, it would hurt."

"Making someone too sick to cast is useful, angry plants," he nodded," and the wind, if we can get a good angle on it we don't want to further hurt the prisoners if some are fragile."

"Well strengthening my husband is good but if he is locked up or restrained and prevented from using his magick making him stronger might not do much. I do not know enough of what the Traditions call Correspondence to try to use the bond to see through his eyes or anything."
Amber Rose said and she sounded a bit doubtful.

"Someone else might."

"Given the circumstances I do not think he would mind but I would not want him to be put in more danger, however if we can get an edge on getting him out of here that would be a good thing."

[No. That pandemic mod would have been one much more deadly. I remember seeing a BBC drama of a pandemic in around c'06 where it ended up with people being sealed up in houses by the Army and sports centres being used as makeshift morgues (can't remember the name, dammit...). However, it could be said if it *had* been more deadly the idiot Trumps and Johnsons of the world would have pulled their finger out a lot quicker.]

"But no we do not want to catch the prisoners in a wind of mundane silence...that would be bad."

"Someone else might."

"I might be able to do that."
Jon chimed in reminding you that he did in fact exist.

He looked thoughtfully at Amelie.

He nodded, pacing a little bit as he tried to figure out a good way to deal with the pawns.

"I could try to walk through the shadows to get into position to block this woman who kill with a touch and person hold her off for a few moments while the rest of you deal with her more permanently my good man."
Mr Amelie suggested.

"I hate to be a drag that have to be babysat, I could come along, I could be useful if some spells needs to be picked apart."
Anna suggested glancing first at Adley and then at Colin.

You aimed at the vampire in the red dress and you hit her right in the head, the woman went down, she would be back up but that allowed Axel to drag the wounded mage he was helping in behind Jeffry's wards.
"Thanks Miss Bouchard."
He called. Your arm though was now getting hard to move properly.

Thanks. Good night to you too." Serge said as he left.

He wondered the rather empty chantry while keeping an eye open for anything suspicious.

Cita nodded. You moved though the Chantry, for a while all was still and calm and nothing much happened. Then you saw Alison White hurrying down from the infirmary, when she saw you she stopped.
"Ah there you are Mr Yager may I have a moment of your time?"

[Labyrinth Team #1, 3.15]

Nicole gave a quick nod to this, then rapidly pulled back to Nassa.

Amadeus was healing the man Axel had helped from a gunshot wound, once done he stood and turned towards you, his hands and arms was dripping with his own blood.
"Miss Bouchard are you injured?"
The old Verbena healer asked.

(OOC: Cainites do not die from head injuries, they die from decapitation if a gunshot wound are able to take their head off that will do the trick, but their brains are dead, a hole through it will not kill them, though it can knock them unconscious for a little while. Only destruction of the heart, decapitation or complete destruction of the body as well as getting to much aggravated damage from things like werewolf claws or enchanted weapons will actually destroy them that is what the rule text in all editions says and in addition there are plenty of flavor text examples of vampires being shot in the head and either not reacting much at all or being knocked out for a while. In the Hunters Hunted novel collection book a vampire get half his head shot off he is still only incapacitated and do heal.)

Colin smiled thinly, "We'll work it out at Steelhaven, then."

Gray just nodded at that he looked a bit uncomfortable.

He grinned, "My darling adopted daughter, actually, one of my Chantry's finest ward specialists... Used to be the apprentice of Abigail's second-in-command, until a chance encounter with me. I made a promise to protect her from the worst, there's legal precedent in our favour, and I have acquired an apprentice who's a hell of a lot better than me at setting up and dismantling traps."

"Yes you said your apprentice was a former Nephanda...a ward specialist now that is impressive."
Tali said and Anna beamed.
"It seams you have it well in hand then Mr Wainwright."
The Keeper said with an approving nod.
"I will draw you a map of where the wards are located."

He nodded thoughtfully, "She'd likely not have particularly finely honed combat skill, especially not for grappling, if she's used to everything she touches dying on the spot... "Very well I will do what I can then Mr Wainwright. i do not like being touch or ending up in a brawl, it is undignified but I agree it seams to be our best bet so I am willing to do it."
Mr Amelie replied.

He nodded to the others, then to Adley, and finally gave Anna a long, contemplative look, "I wonder... you are the exact person the Chronomancer is hunting. I suppose it would be a bit of a gamble to bring you along as both bait and troubleshooter... on the other hand, it would also mean we wouldn't risk having to run all the way back to stop him from assailing you again, if he manages to get some distance between himself and Gabby."
He looked to Adley, "What do you think, Amicus? Should we bring her on the hunt?"

"You know I am used to fighting dad, I can handle myself in a fight and I know my limits I am not going to fly of the rail and run headlong into the enemy, my job is to stay behind the rest and be support."
Anna said with a smile. The others looked a little uncomfortable Anna was after all a child and they where not comfortable with child soldiers but then again she did have a point, she was very good at picking apart wards.

[Often, unless they'd got decent Fortitude / Stamina, the rifle round into the skull does enough concentrated damage that it can knock them into torpor. Most examples have pistol rounds, which do less damage. Speaking with my VtM ST hat on for a moment. But it's your sandpit.]

Poison. Upper left arm.' She replied, moving the deadening limb towards him. If the Verbena was a adept at reading people, he might notice the Etherite was worried, though was trying to fight it.

Amadeus' features softened and he gently moved so he could examine your arm.
"Hum...yes looks nasty, I will take care of it Miss Bouchard."
He said and he carved a symbol into the palm of his right hand with his dagger, then he held the bloody palm over your wound and closed his eyes, you saw that he had to concentrate, the venom was supernatural meaning he had a harder time with it than with mundane wounds, but even so your arm got warm, then the numbness slowly vanished and then the soreness went away as well until the bite was gone and your arm was just slightly sore.
"That should take care of it...how are you feeling?"
The healer asked.

(OOC: Yes a gunshot to the head could do over 7 points of Lethal damage and by that sent the vampire into torpor, but it did not this time and it do not always do that much damage.)

Colin sighed softly, "You're a good man, Gray, and I never doubted that. You've just been through a situation no-one ever should, and that... will leave a mark. Just make sure it's a mark that doesn't take away from the good in you. On the front lines, we suffer, so others won't have to. And we pay the price again coming home..."

Anja wrote:"Yes you said your apprentice was a former Nephanda...a ward specialist now that is impressive."
Tali said and Anna beamed.
"It seams you have it well in hand then Mr Wainwright."
The Keeper said with an approving nod.
"I will draw you a map of where the wards are located."
He chuckled, "There's a Jewish saying, not to pray for a lighter load, but broader shoulders... I'd settle for a few extra pairs of hands. I would appreciate that map."

Anja wrote:"Very well I will do what I can then Mr Wainwright. i do not like being touch or ending up in a brawl, it is undignified but I agree it seams to be our best bet so I am willing to do it."

He smiled thinly, "A good restraining hold can be quite dignified, except for the one restrained, but yes, I quite understand. And I appreciate it."

He grinned, though there was a hard gleam in his eyes, "Besides, sneaky and clever with Chronomancy is rather my turf; can't have this chap steal my thunder."

Nicole gave a little shudder when he began to slice up his palm; while being no stranger of pain herself, still didn't like it. When the numbness began to fade, she experimentally tested out her arm-joints.

On the Verbena's question, the Etherite nodded and said 'Thanks' - and hurried out back into the fray...

[Being able to heal something without physically *seeing* it is more impressive.]

[Gunshots are Bashing for vampires, but it's possible even then for a rifle round to do enough damage. Vampires like their brains, and if the bullet say, severed their spinal cord they're still fucked.]

I would believe wind are more your department than mine Mr Roth Hicks both mundane and the wind of mundane silence but yes it would be useful."
Amber Rose said.
"But no we do not want to catch the prisoners in a wind of mundane silence...that would be bad."

"Which brings us back to wondering the shape of the area."

"I might be able to do that."
Jon chimed in reminding you that he did in fact exist.

He nodded to Jon. "Very good. So, while we cannot perhaps break through the ward, we might be able to utilize a very strong connection to get a peek, from the inside so to speak. I would like to consider whether or not the wards would count that as trespass?"

"I hate to be a drag that have to be babysat, I could come along, I could be useful if some spells needs to be picked apart."
Anna suggested glancing first at Adley and then at Colin.

"You are not being babysat. You are a direct target, and witholding presentation of the target is sound tactics."

"Very well I will do what I can then Mr Wainwright. i do not like being touch or ending up in a brawl, it is undignified but I agree it seams to be our best bet so I am willing to do it."
Mr Amelie replied.

"Thank you for your assistance."

"No; five quick reasons: we lose our common ground here and enter his, with unknown dangers to us that work to his advantage, and present him with his target. Two, it is possible you end up back here, and we all fight together on our turf. Three, we need her to assist with wards of a difficult nature soon, and picking them apart is her expertise. To endanger that and her life is not tactically sound or worth the gamble, with other things in our favor now. Four, we need someone strong enough to help hold the entrance, and she is a powerful caster. The fifth reason you both know and I will not voice. I suggest moving soon to not lose your advantage, though, whatever your decision."

You'll wait here, with the marble spirit and Mr. Ameli, and those volunteering to hold the fort here. Besides... the other teams might also need to call you in for ward dismantling while we're hunting Rust."
He shouldered the axe and turned to the passageway and the nearest eye, "Alright, everyone who's coming along for the hunt, then, please form up with me... and be ready for an unusual shortcut."

((OOC: And that is why Colin wanted Adley to speak his mind on the question. Razz ))

"I have no plans of letting it change who I am. I just need to forget what have happened, for just one night."
Gray said with a sigh deep pain in her eyes.

He chuckled, "There's a Jewish saying, not to pray for a lighter load, but broader shoulders... I'd settle for a few extra pairs of hands. I would appreciate that map."

"I will try to get it drawn up before my death then."
Tali said with a nod.
"And I hope you can deal with the wards safely you will have to do so if you are going to care for my Labyrinth."

He smiled thinly, "A good restraining hold can be quite dignified, except for the one restrained, but yes, I quite understand. And I appreciate it."

"Even so I neither enjoy engagin in such base activies nor touching others so it is not something I look forwards to but I will do my bst Mr Wainwright."
Mr Amelie said politely.

He sighed, "I know... You're well advanced beyond your years in that regard. I'm just not exactly persuaded that is an entirely good thing. But, it is what it is, and keeping you in reach when confronting the very man hunting you would help defend you from anything sneaky."

"Exactly if the Chronomancer comes for me he will run right into our trap."
Anna said with a slight smile.
"It would be the tactical smart thing to do."

He grinned, though there was a hard gleam in his eyes, "Besides, sneaky and clever with Chronomancy is rather my turf; can't have this chap steal my thunder."

"You are the best dad."
Anna commented.
"So I can come along then? To take down the Chronomancer?"

"Which brings us back to wondering the shape of the area."

"It is a large hallway with cells on either side with a door that lead out to the guard's room."
Tali replied.

He nodded to Jon. "Very good. So, while we cannot perhaps break through the ward, we might be able to utilize a very strong connection to get a peek, from the inside so to speak. I would like to consider whether or not the wards would count that as trespass?"

"That completley depends on the wards."
Jon commented.
"They might let such scrying through or I might nto get through at all or it might detect my attemt and set off it completely depend on how they are programmed."

"You are not being babysat. You are a direct target, and witholding presentation of the target is sound tactics."

"Yes Sir, I can be more useful in combat though."
Anna protested.

"Thank you for your assistance."

Mr Amelie just nodded politely at that.

Anna pouted but she did not waste time arguing in the middle of combat.
"Very well dad I will help hold the entrance."
She said with a sigh.
"We will try to keep her safe Mr Wainwright."
Mr Amelie said.

He shouldered the axe and turned to the passageway and the nearest eye, "Alright, everyone who's coming along for the hunt, then, please form up with me... and be ready for an unusual shortcut."

"Oh fantastic more eyeball travel."
Gray said sarcastically but he and the rest went along and formed a line behind you as you headed for the eyeball in the hallway outside of the marble room.

On the Verbena's question, the Etherite nodded and said 'Thanks' - and hurried out back into the fray...

Other than being a little sore your arm worked as normally. Amadeus nodded.
"That is what I am here for."
He said before he turned to help the next wounded.

You got back into the frey, you saw two women, pawns you think that was trying to jump Axel with knives drawn.

(OOC: Sorry for the late and short reply, it was a long drive and when I got home I found that my husband had decided to be oh so helpful and start a huge tidying project on the last day so there was stuff on aboslutely every surface, I could not deal and am now in a hotel so everything is rpetty much shit at the moment.)
