Wounded. But i'm surprised she's even concious. She said maybe it's a good idea to sedate her, although if there was a way to block the nightmares, that would be great. he said taking her to the bed again.

"I can brew a herb tea that will put her to sleep it will be milder on her body than using modern medicines."
Amadeus said as you put his apprentice back into her bed, Beatrice still held onto your hand.
"I would have to go and get some herbs from my chambers though..."
The old Verbena muttered though he hesitated he did not like to leave his apprentice alone, not even for five minutes.
"As for nightmares that is easy enough to prevent, at least for tonight, but she needs to eventually dream...that is how her mind will heal."

And she's eating something. You too, not a question.

"If you can get her to eat that will be great but do not get your hopes up on that. I...will not protest though, I could eat."
Amadeus said and sigh, he rubbed a hand over his tired eyes.

"Master Morgan...it is Henrietta Day, I and Tane ran into some problems here on Mattapan, we are alright but we are going to need a pick up...yes...and we have a prisoner, a Fallen and one more dead. Tane asks if you could get a member of his Cabal here for he have to do a working that will take some time and I do not want him to be here alone...ok great...thank you Master Morgan."
The young hedge wizard hung up and put the phone away.
"They are on their way Tane."

And don't bother Master Telar or Master Nassa, they need sleeping. No, you know what? Tell them that i say they need to sleep, they get someone to cover them and they need sleeping like a person.

"I can deliver that message when I come back to the Chantry."

Ok Coawa, start doing flex and pour her a coffee. Yeah, that's about right.

Coawa grinned at that. As you speak to your brother you see from the corner of your eye that your prisoner slightly moves and hear a soft moan from him.

You do find a stipe of cloth if red blood steins on it, so you have that, as for the silver dagger it really depends, if you had a good grip on it or had put it away then he would not chance loosing his clean getaway to grab it or ask for it, however if you just had it laying there then the stranger would have taken his weapon with him as he left, so it depends on what Devon would have done with the dagger.

"If you want to be prepared for that eventuality you want to use magick and prepare your rotes if you are at all able for they will not give you much time to respond, if your Paradigm is slow I suggest going for heavy, high caliber firearms that is your best bet of taking them down...for a while but they do heal." Kristina warned you. "And they can heal frighteningly fast. But yes if you can avoid such a fight that is preferable."

"As you'd said before, I recall. Alright. Hope for the best and prepare in case."

"Off course, no one can give any guarantees...hum...some back up might be a good idea, then again we might not want to risk scaring this vampire with bringing half and army to what must be a terrifying experience for him as it is."

"It is not a good idea unless you know exactly where you are going and how you should be thinking, I would not take a vampire through any other path than one I have walked many times. The thing is the Umbra do not have hard and fast locations like the physical world do, so let us say I want to get to Chicago, I would think about landmarks, I would think about the parks I played in as a child...the lakes...and then narrow it down, then I would follow the signs posts that reminded me of those things, well most of my memories are of daytime scenes so I might suddenly be stepping into one, which would be bad for a vampire. In addition since the Umbra do not have a proper day and night cycle past the penumbra, that means that they will be sluggish and tired like they are during the day for most of the journey meaning you have a defenseless dependent to worry about, while trying to avoid areas with sunlight and whatever dangers lurk in the spirit world and trying to navigate, all at the same time, it is not an ideal situation, however the path between Morningstar and my home in France I have walked so many times that it should be safe."

As you sat talking with Kristina you got a message on your phone from your mentor that read.

You had a way to ensure the privacy of a call? If so would you please use said method and phone me when you get the chance, a few things have come up.

Then the stranger will have left without his dagger so you still have the weapon, it is of good quality, slim and elegant, a large pearl decorate the pommel but it is made for practicality so it only had leather wrapping for most of the grip, it was made by a master craftsman though.

"It always takes a bit of time to give instructions to my Mentor's son anyway he...well something went wrong when his Avatar incarnated in him, it fused with an Umbrood...he is a good kid but he do not understand concepts such as time, now or later and must be dealt with much like you would a spirit, which complicates things so I will just be glad for a few more minutes to prepare."
She explained with a slight smile.

"Very well I will get Taliesin here to babysit and then go and speak with Chief Joakim about who is going with us..."
She said and stood to follow you to the door.
"Take your time and take care of whatever you need to, do not worry about my time I will be ready when you are."
She offered politely and smiled.

His brows lifted a little. The world seemed all too keen on providing him with examples of how wrong everything could go but also how it might be worth it. A though occurred to him in passing, how such things were often dependent on putting the right things together at the right times, in the right ways. Whatever 'right' happened to mean. Much like building a ritual out of components, the path was just one really long involved ritual. "I see. Perhaps if you would not mind speaking to me about that later, after our crises settle. I know such is private but I have a reason, though now is not the best time obviously."

The small ritual chamber was not in use and was as you had left it. You see Hayden and his apprentice Magda on their way into one of the bigger ritual rooms, probably to do some training. The older Flambeau had clearly had his wounded should mended, his apprentice still looked a little green around the gills after what she had witnessed at the Post Office though, both of your Housemates gave you a polite nod and Magda gave you a smile as they vanished into their own ritual room and leaving you alone to enter the small ritual chamber you had used to make a call earlier.

If it was, he circled it as he usually did and went inside to set up the candle spell as he'd been instructed and call his pater back, as he had done not very long ago.

Once he shut the door behind him, he checked the circle ward to see if it was still active. If it was, he circled it as he usually did and went inside to set up the candle spell as he'd been instructed and call his pater back, as he had done not very long ago.

The ward was still active the room had not been used it seamed since you where here fifteen minutes or so ago. You walk the circle and set up the candle and then call your Mentor, the candle flicker slightly as the old war mage picks up and you hear someone talking to him on the other end.

You hear someone say though it is hard to know who when you just hear someone talking in the same room as your Mentor.
"Yes, give me a few minutes to speak with him."
Jeffry replied and you hear someone leave and a door closing and the candle flame stopped flickering.
"Mea filius, thank you for getting back to me as soon as you have, I would have called you but since you have means at your disposal to make the conversation private and I would have to set it up then it seamed more effective to ask you to make the call."
He said then he added just to be sure.
"The last time your sister and her apprentice visited us in Boston we went out to eat what restaurant where we at?"
It was a simple question just to make sure as it would be hard for someone other than you or your sister Helena to have the answer to it.

Darrian commented. Lars said nothing as he was focusing on driving and not reading your lips and probably did not know you had said anything.
"I guess we better head back to Steelhaven then, but I do wonder who that man is and what have happened to him."
Darrian muttered.

"There is a problem with Miss Alexander, or rather we seam to have had some luck...but that have lead to a bit of a problem. It seams your Cabalmate have a connection to the kidnapped Spirit Master, it is not that surprising the man did more than just touch her Avatar, and now she have nightmares about his location, I did not get this information before now though because of some miscommunication between Mr Karyak and Master Nassa, well be that as it may now we have a golden opportunity to find this man before the Nephandi get to use him in their rituals...but I am afraid I miscalculated and have created a bit of a problem."

"I wanted to grab that arcane connection between Miss Alexander and the missing Guernicus, and then once I had traced it destroy the connection for her safety, the problem is that...she reacted very badly to hearing me chanting...poor child I guess it reminded her of...especially since both spells would involve Vim and some of the same words. Master Nassa is none to happy with me I fear but he is with Miss Alexander now trying to calm her down...Mr King however who was on guard duty at the time mentioned that you have worked magick near Miss Alexander after...that evening...that you warmed the Node room, and that she was not scared of your Words..."
Jeffry explained, the old mage sounded tired of all these complications but also concerned.
"We need to trance that arcane connection..."
He muttered.

"Well we are here, the door to the main part of the Chantry is through there Mr Miles."
Darrian said and pointed.
"What if you give me the blood stained rags and I will go and analyze them while you take Lars with you and speak with Chief Morgan about the man we rescued and off course about whatever he wanted with our friend here in the first place."
He said and patted Lars on the back then he sigh.
"It seams you are getting an eventful first evening in your new home Mr Miles...sorry about that, it is not always this hectic around here I assure you."

"The trace would be spiritual and again I'm not sure that I would have the finesse to trace avatar links but let me see..." He watched the candle thoughtfully as he tried to imagine what needed to happen. He had Beatrice's working Name, he could get a craft name of the magus being held in the labyrinth. He'd been able to tell how far he'd been from Boston, when he'd ended up in Worcester. Maybe he could tell the distance between the two Names? Their spiritual essence, for however much he could approximate his current understanding of the vibrations on that plane. "I have an idea but the previous problems stand," he said.

"But yes things go two ways, right now the link is on a deep spiritual level between Miss Alexander and this Guernicus Master, but yes if the Nephandi become aware of that connection there they can use it which is why we can not leave it there, we have to destroy that link, but I would like to use it to figure out where the Nephandi keep their prisoners first."

Then he added, "I'm not sure I know enough ars conjunctionalis to help from where I am, without some kind of assistance to deal with that part at least, I remember what happened to our friend the last time we tried something like this as well," he mused, remembering Lady Ravensblood as he tried to pick it over as best he could. He sighed. "Things are much more complicated than that." It was not nearly so easy as a simple crush or unrequited love. "The basic idea is that if you have two arcane connecting points, you can use a third known connection to gather some understanding about the other two, for example direction or distance between them. I have only have used this concept to break connections that I had already been able to sense or to tell where I was. I'm not sure I could perform something this complex, though even with my current understanding however you or someone else might be able to do so. I can attempt to talk to her over the phone but I wouldn't like to, as that creates anther connection all on its own," he mused. "Also we need to move forward on the issue with the vampire's childer; we were going to set him up soon, since the other matters have to come after that one."

"I don't see how I'll be able to do that right now, until the matters here are completed. At least not with my physical body."

"I know mea filius...there are to many things that needs doing and not enough time to do them...we might have to teleport you back here to do the ritual and back again though, that is a possible solution but I do not want to tax our members with such abilities to much."
Jeffry said, he sounded quite tired.
"We can put this off for a little bit, but not for to long, I am sorry to say it have to be dealt with soon."

"The basic idea is that if you have two arcane connecting points, you can use a third known connection to gather some understanding about the other two, for example direction or distance between them. I have only have used this concept to break connections that I had already been able to sense or to tell where I was. I'm not sure I could perform something this complex, though even with my current understanding however you or someone else might be able to do so.

"Then we shall just have to turn as many into opportunities to deprive them of advancing the plan as we are able. As usual the main issue is time, though if we remove this Master being held as he is perhaps some of that will in turn assist us. You know now what the risks are, we have to work as many angles on it as we can."

Not that long after the car came to a halt in an empty spot in a somewhat tired looking parking garage.
"Well we are here, the door to the main part of the Chantry is through there Mr Miles."
Darrian said and pointed.
"What if you give me the blood stained rags and I will go and analyze them while you take Lars with you and speak with Chief Morgan about the man we rescued and off course about whatever he wanted with our friend here in the first place."

Devon hands the rags to Darrian...." here you go"
He said and patted Lars on the back then he sigh.
"It seams you are getting an eventful first evening in your new home Mr Miles...sorry about that, it is not always this hectic around here I assure you."
