For an old lady the screaming pawn was fast on her feet and hard to hit your bullet flew past her though you heard someone behind her cry out so you might have hit something. The old lady smiled and she screamed again but this time directed at your gun, which suddenly started getting warmer as if it was put on a stove, and the heat increased as the old woman screamed.

Colin arched an eyebrow and made a small, circular gesture over his gun, smirking back at the woman as he just... started moving the heat from his pistol to right under her posterior.

((OOC: So, Correspondence2/Forces2 should do the trick for that... lighting a proverbial fire under her ass. Using the last of Colin's personal quintessence for lower Difficulty, and Arete roll: 5,5,0. That's... three successes, right? Vulgar w/o witnesses, diff 6, and -1 for Quintessence? Or does the presence of a Node help lower it further?))

Colin arched an eyebrow and made a small, circular gesture over his gun, smirking back at the woman as he just... started moving the heat from his pistol to right under her posterior.

You moved the heat the woman's scream had generated in your gun to right under her, the pawn cried out but nto magically this time and moved with some speed giving you a sour look, at least her scream ended.
"Are you okey Doris?"
One of the pawns asked, a pale young man.
"Yeah but that fucking man with the scars...kill him kill him"
Doris the lightly cooked shouted and the pale man obeyed trying to shoot you but Jeffry's barrier stopped the bullets, through one made it's way through to fall useless to the ground, it was no longer dangerous but it had made it's way through the barriar would nto last for much longer.

Colin smirked and ducked, shooting back at the pale man, "What, can't take the heat, lady? You know, Mr. Millinte was much more accepting of the harsh realities when I freed him from his Infernal pact."

"I am not sure how you did that if you actually was able to remove a Infernalist's pact but I would hardly call it being freed."
The old woman spat back as her minnion shot at you again.
"This fucking barriar!"
The pawn swore and the woman nodded.
"Yeah try to keep up the fire sooner or later a kinetic shield will go down."
You fired at the pale man and your bullets sort of stopped in from of him from the Nephandi's own kinetic shields held by the Gilledian but the shields quivered the Gilledian was clearly getting tired from his mental battle with Crexia.
"I am not sure I like this."
The pale man muttere nervously.
"Just kill them...the scarred man first!"

The Fallen angel screamed in pain as your falming sword purified the space he was in, it was more a purification than a wound, and the thing vanished into first gray, then white smoke as it was sent back to whatever hell it came from, the place it had occupied cleansed and sanctified by your holy guardian angel, the flame angel. Darrian and the other was havign the other fallen angel pretty much on the ropes but the pawn with the eyes was still up and going and fighting against Jon...at least one of the demons was gone...and the air already felt clear, the way the air felt cleaner after a cleansing fire.

One down, leaving a strong resonance imprint from their energy in its wake. He pushed a thrust of the vis-sword towards the man, without any preface, preamble or hesitation unless he was attacked, his a natural way to say "Hello" to someone who had just hurt so many of his allies under his protection.

"Excuse me...can you not do both? I mean if you make them sleep and then use an anestetic then they will not feel the serum right, they might be a little sore when they wake up and being without one's magick is scary but it will not hurt."
Kira chimed in and Richard nodded.
"Well that could work actually, if Serge put them into a deep sleep then I can apply a anestetic before the serum is administered, that should avoid them feeling any pain."

"Very well that should be acceptable...I will get Cava up here then and then we work on this Thomas where he is."
Richard nodded at that he seamed somewhat relieved.

"BOOM! Score 1 for Kira!" Serge said in a strange burst of excitement, happy at having found a way to mitigate harm.

"Let's go. Let's do this. Because every second we're not doing this is another second Jace could just suddenly appear in the middle of this chantry." Serge said, already heading for the stairs and gesturing for the other mages to do the same.

You move towards the pawn with the eye beams you had to jump to the side as a beam shot towards you though your shield generally defelected it but better safe than sorry, you managed to still keep the shield protecting those behind you. The pawn did not have any shields he had been granted one ability by his unholy master and while powerful it was still only one ability so you moved fowards and stabbed towards him with your sword and he seamed rather suprised as he suddenly had a burning sword in his belly, the man scramed in agony, he was a young man with brown hair and pale skin but his eyes was just red orbs, they looked like red lave rocks. You had hit him and he looked suprised.

You saw doors to cells around you now and the sleeping Nephandi around you. You also saw Jon standign there with a pretty bad wound to his left arm. Mr Amelie was on the floor in a heap, horrible wounds in his midsection, the vampire was not moving.

You kept fire on the tentackle man and he was indeed distracted which Crexia took full advantage of, after a few bullets the man suddenly screamed, the bullets had nto hit him but he had been distracted enough that Crexia managed to reach into his mind and do something. The man toassed a mass of fire towards the Hermetic but Jeffry stopped it. The tentacle man now hurt tried to withdraw back down the corridor he had come from.
"Get him!"
Grexia muttered with strein in her voice.

"BOOM! Score 1 for Kira!" Serge said in a strange burst of excitement, happy at having found a way to mitigate harm.

Richard nodded at that.
"Very well Serge come with me and we will send Thomas to sleep where he is and then administer the serum."
He said as he begun to find supplies he would need in the shelves of his supply cabinet.
"Miss Mar if you coudl bring Cava up here she is so small that I would like to keep her under supervision when she is under the serum."
Richard requested and Helena nodded.
"Very well you deal with our guest then and we will meet here in a few minutes then."
The ice mage said and she headed back out of the infirmary to get Cava.

He took out a little pinch of sand from the bag, and quickly teleported it straight above the Gilledian while he was distracted, and his wards down.

The effect was immediate and violent the Gilledian started screaming, his arms and tentacles waves around violently and Crexia took the chance when offered. She muttered something in Latin and then the old Nephandus crumpeled to the floor, grabbing his head and just screaming.
"His defenses are done take out the pawns."
Crexia shouted then she cast another spell and the Gilledian screamed again and then he was dead, just crumpeled in a heap on the floor his mind shredded.

The pawns looekd at one another and about half of them started running down the corridors tryign to get away. The old woman who had been trying to take down Colin with her screams looked rather scared before she turned on her heels and tried to run as well.

The pawn fired his eyes at you again, your shield protected you but you felt the heat and this close the light was blinding, all you saw was red dots, you do not think your eyes had suffered any damage but it might take several minutes to blink the after image of the eye beams away and for now you where more or less blind and tears rolled down your cheeks from your irritated eyes, however you did not have burned holes in your skill which was always a plus and you where up close and personal witht he pawn so you could still fight. The man tried to scamper away he did not enjoy being in close combat and he was hurt pretty badly now, you hit him in the arm and he screamed again.

(OOC: A one sucsesses hit please rollt he damage., also those eyes beams are just blinding up blose, be happy you are nto a vampire. I would say that for three rounds Adley is blind then his sight will return but be hazy with the red after glow for about a minute or so.)

No, something else, as damaging but worse somehow, wrong, and he cried out in pain; then there was nothing but bright spots and he was entirely sure he was blind, his eyes bleached out of his head, oozing....his free hand immediately went towards his face, no, they weren't gone but he couldn't see, and maybe never would again, his face wet with tears or blood he was not sure. The thought was terrifying, but he couldn't let it stop him, not yet, but the searing pain was intense. He wasn't dead and neither was this damned pawn. The man was pulling himself away, but there wasn't anyone else nearby to accidentally hit. He tried to focus on what he sounded like to land a last blow on him.

You felt that the hit you had scored on the pawn's arm was not doing much damage, merely curring a line that hurt but did nto to much to stop him from trying to get away from you. The man's breathing was fast he was clearly as scared as you was, the pawn held no weapons he was clearly used to standing back being protected by allies so he could shoot his deadly beams at his enemies, but plse with a angry man with a flaming sword he did nto feel safe at all, even if that man was blinded. Your shock and pain had made your las swing at the man somewhat shallow but you swung at the man again, it was harder to pinpoint him bild and you where nto sure where you hit him but you heard a scream and felt your sword meet resistence, heard the sizzeling as the magical sword trouched flesh.

(OOC: He failed his dodge roll so a 4 sucsesses hit as I raise the diff to 7 but you have 3 succsesses there and the WP, please roll damage that is a solid hit.

(OOC 2: True, but a vampire's eyes would hurt more in this situation and if that vampire was a Setite he would nto be happy.)

As the pawn who had used his powers to affect gravity fled in terror yes you could move again, gravity felt normal. You fired at the pawn who was not fleeing and two of them fell which made several more turn and flee. Jeffry nodded.
"We can not allow them to get away Miss Bouchard, see if you can get some of the ones fleeing."
The old Hermetic said then he opened his hand towards three of the fleeing pawns and they screamed as they where engulfed in flame and died where they stood.

(OOC: Again the Traditions is NOT AN ARMY, they are am occult order, or rather a collection of occult orders.)

As long as it was the pawn screaming, the right target...he hadn't gotten a chance to move far, not either of them had, he wasn't getting away. A reeling feeling was starting to whirl in his head, the pain was so bad, the rushing blood in his ears, the pain was so, so bad...and he couldn't see. He felt like his mind was going to float away without the ability to latch onto something to look at...and then he was asking the pawn, "Are you dead yet, you filthy..." he couldn't finish, not in English and found himself grasping for words that he couldn't speak, words were overloud in his ears and his ears were an ocean filled with his own blood. He was starting to shake, as if in deep winter, the sword locked into his hand in a vise grip.

You felt it all, pain in your eyes, pain everywhere, fear of death, fear that your friends would be killed, fear that you would be to late it all blended together into a mass, and now you where blind and yet all you could do was push on if the pawn managed to get away from you he would continue to fire at you with his ill gotten power and sooner or later the shield you and Anna had put up would fail and you would die, and then he would kill Jon...kill your friends, kill the ones you had a duty to protect, even Mr Amelie laying there in a heap on the floor was your responsibility he might be a Massassa, an enemy at other times but right now he was an ally and he was hurt, and it was all this pawn's fault, he would kill you...

You swung your sword again and the fire bladed entered his chest, the man gave a weak grunt, the light in his enchanted eyes died but you could not see that not yet though your vision was starting to clear, if you ahd not been blind you would have seen the symbols engraved on his lava stone like eyeballs, the mark of his master, a master he was now well on the way to see in person. This man had traded his soul for power, and power he had been granted and now his master got his prize.

At first you did not realize the pawn was dead, your blade had hit his heart and he slid of your magickal sword and hit the floor, only when no more scampering was heard and no more eye beams was shot did you realize the pawn was down, even so your mind did not fully believe it, a trick your adrenaline filled brain screamed, a trick he is just trying to fool you...and yet no new attack came and when your eyesight returned...in part, everything was still hazy, a red glare making it hard to see but your eyes was better though they still hurt...allot, you could see the pawn dead on the floor and you heard Jon's shaky voice speak to you.
"Adley...ehm...are you okey?"
The Virtual Adept muttered, his voice was still full of pain, his wound was bad and for hi to adrenaline was probably the only thing that kept him on his feet.

Then he squeezed off a couple of shots against the fleeing minions that were still in line of sight, if any.

There was a scraping sound as the bone doors came down sealing of the exits, the pawns screamed in fear and anger, four to the left of you managed to gather together for some sort of defense, two of them started some sort of ritual while the two others got into defensive positions to protect the two hedge wizards. A woman with light brown skin, wearing a black dress muttered some words and fire shot at the Traditionalists, you heard someone cry out, Bruce you think. The main majority of the pawns was just in panic though beating on the closed doors trying to get away. Jeffry incinerated a few more of them and Crexia spoke a few words and several more fell dead to the floor, you fired at a blond woman who was trying to shoot at the Traditionalists with spikes coming out of her hands, the woman cried out and fell to the ground. The room had erupted into utter chaos and screams was everywhere as the Traditionalists begun picking of the desperate pawns, it was a slaugther and many would have terrible nightmares later due to killing of helpless, terrified pepole but the Traditionalsits was scared as well and they knew the Nephandi woudl regroup if given the chance and then they would be a danger again.

There was not allot of cover to find, you could head into one of the corridors leading into the hub chamber but that would take you away from the central group of mages and there was pawns in all of the hallways pounding on locked doors. [True, Warp. But the problem is that it relies on the goodwill of Darrian to realise in a combat situation he should waive rank. But he is not under any obligation to do so, and if he so desired could demand Colin, Nick, Adley etc to follow his orders (even if they're worse than Zapp Brannigan's), put them on trial for breaking the Protocols if they refused *and* win said charge as he is technically right. They may not be an army, but sure as hell they have the love of ranks and 'obeying the rules' going on. And it's part of the reason why the OoH almost killed itself in the 'Blood Treachery' crossover.]

You took down one of the fleeing Nephandi, a young man and he hit the ground hard not getting back up. The chanting woman pointed at you and you felt dizzy for a moment as if you could not focus your mind properly, you still kept a resonable grip on where you was and what you was doing but the Nephanda was clearly doing something and it was affecting you and not in a good way.

(OOC: Yes the Traditions system is nto perfect, it is nto meant to be, it is the World of Darkness, hell real would systems and organizations are seldom perfect why would you expect one in the World of Darkness would be any better. Also remember warfare is not the main focus of the Traditions, magick is therefore skill with magick outweigh any tactical knowledge a person might have.)

There was not allot of cover to find, you could head into one of the corridors leading into the hub chamber but that would take you away from the central group of mages and there was pawns in all of the hallways pounding on locked doors. ((OOC: Only to an extent, Nick - it depends less on goodwill and more on self awareness. He's not under any obligation to pass command down the proverbial chain, true, but he will quite likely be held responsible if he pulls a Zapp Brannigan and gets people killed. The Traditions do have laws about getting Traditionalists killed, after all, and gross tactical incompetence or negligence is going to have a severe impact on your career as a Mage. As for the Blood Treachery crossover, that occurred in 2000. A lot of unpleasantries happened that year in the canonical timeline, and if I recall correctly, the Avatar Storm was going on ever since mid-1999... Also, keep in mind that aside from House Flambeau, most of the Order of Hermes doesn't have that much tactical/military training. Sort of like how not all college students are on the football team...))
