"Not a problem Mr Wainwright."
Master Arlu said, he waited util Jon had entered the circle as well, at least he saw him, ad then he made the last few symbols in his own arms to enact his effect. The world durned red around you and you felt like you where swimmig in blood and was birthed out the other side, it was not the most...comfortable teleportation you have ever experienced but then you stood in the large ritual chamber in Steelhaven's basement, competely dry, the feeling of blood and gore gone.
"Verbena are going to Verbena I guess."
Jon commented sourely, even if he to was completley dry he could not resist wiping himself down with his hands.
"Well at least we got home."
Colin nodded and stepped into the silver circle, "There's no place like home... Thank you, Master Arlu."

He grimaced a little, then headed over to the little storage box to retrieve his phone, and checked for messages before saving the ghoul's number in his contacts, and then called Robin Leeland.
Colin paused for a few seconds, then shrugged, "That's the second least pleasant means of travel I've experienced. Which reminds me, I need to bring a team to clean out my Labyrinth before we go to Horizon, too..."Anja wrote:"Not a problem Mr Wainwright."

"I still find it a bit disturbing that you have a Labyrinth in the first place Colin."
Jon said with a chuckle.
You had gotten a message from a company selling nature and wildlife magazine who wanted to to buy a subscription, otherwise nothing. You called Leeland and after a while the old vampire replied.
"Mr Wainwright...how may I be of assistance?"
He asked warmly.
Colin paused for a few seconds, then shrugged, "That's the second least pleasant means of travel I've experienced. Which reminds me, I need to bring a team to clean out my Labyrinth before we go to Horizon, too..."

The immediate threat may be dealt with, but I'm afraid the enemy is only stalled, not stopped. "Those Master may not appreciate it if I just gave there names away. I'll ask for you among the Master mages that I know. I'll let you know what I learn later."

The wer spider said and Caleb seamed to calm a little though he was still clearly upset.
"Go to sleep my son, rest and let tese pepole take care of you ad I will see what solutions I ca find."

'Is this before or after the neck gives out?' she replied with a playful edge to her tone. 'And the unbreakable stuff is, well unbreakable. Once a guy tested it in front of a load of people fifteen stories up. The glass held up perfect... just the frame didn't, glass pops out, guy and glass panel go down to concrete floor.'
'True... but how do you plan to survive long enough to find the weak points, eh?' she quipped. 'And while a HIT-V is a tough mother, it's got no flexibility, like. Generally known too, and mass produced to boot. The first warning you'd get from me would be when an uppercut suddenly buried blades in your jaw.'

"I will don't worry. I'll do my best."
Serge waited for a a bit, letting Caleb hear his mothers voice. He was waiting for Caleb to fall asleep naturally before daring to cast any magick on him.
Though in the meantime he worked on a small sketch depicting the mother son duo playing together.

He sighed, "Well, with the ghost legion at peace, my part of the bargain with Mars is concluded, and a Kindred is bought free from Hell... That, at least, is a burden off my soul."
((OOC: I think Colin and Jon would be back at Steelhaven somewhat later than 18.15 - there was the added driving time, after all.))
Colin smiled wryly, "Well, now, 'safe' is not the word I would use. 'Manageable risk' is probably more accurate. I don't think he will harm me, nor any friends I introduce him to - but I wouldn't let him loose in the dog park."Anja wrote:"Are you sure that thing is safe Colin...he did come fromt he Nephandi."
He frowned, "Quite certain; in the future I saw, he'd become a vampire and learned to control his powers at a frightful pace, highly accelerated according to the Elder who explained the situation - it fits with temporal manipulation. And the man is an extremely competent geneticist, and a specialist in body fluids. If anyone can drain a Bloodline, and concentrate their powers for his own use, it is him. I've encountered dark gods, entities that eat away at a man's will, turning one's better judgment against itself, but... even next to beings that want the world to be unmade - beings of such power that if unchallenged, they could unravel the world - Wallace Jace is the worst monster I have ever faced. As a mortal man, as a ghost, and in a yet-preventable future, as Kindred. One thing is treating the suffering of others as a necessary sacrifice on one's way to power, but Jace considers it a bonus..."Anja wrote:"Are you sure that Wallace Jace are going after the True Brujah Mr Wainwright?"

Colin hesitated, frowning slightly, "You have? Hum... perhaps you have... Still, it's less of a friendship, and more of keeping relations cordial, I suppose - which is, in his specific case, wiser than maintaining hostile relations. With him, it may come to bite me in the butt, with any other Paradox Spirit, it is inevitable..."Anja wrote:"I have already expressed my concerns for your friedsip with a Paradox Spirit Colin, that is the kind of thing that will come back ad bite you i the butt."

He nodded, "Presumably, there would be an amount of knowledge that might help me stop Jace, but not enough to make me a target? Hum, no matter... what I need is to save the Bloodline from Wallace Jace, not reverse whatever future misdeeds he has lined up after the fact."Anja wrote:"I can agree to discuss such thing in private when we meet yes, but be aware that even posessig such knowledge will put a target on your back if it is found out that you possess it."

He grinned, "I suppose 'incarnate and independently mobile' describes the desired state of existence well enough. There's a good reason why gods and the like rarely manifest on Earth - I've felt the power of their mere presence. I'd prefer not to experience the sensation of their actually inflicting their will on my surroundings or person..."Anja wrote:"Yes when superatural cratures that old and powerful meet oe another and do not like one another then the rage of poteial ccollateral daage is rather wide and rather destructive."
The old Vampire said with a chuckle.
"It might hav been entertaining to see such a confontatio but I prefer to stay alive...well, less dead."

"Well now that is a shame, that poor glass panel."
Amadeus said wryly.
"That is true, thy are mostly shock troops that do best when under leadership that control their every movement."
The old Verbena said.
"Still their resistence to magick mak them a problem."
"Well somerstraint hav to be observed for safty but with the ability to heal most injuries my sparring sessiosn can be more...ral than wat sleepers can safely do."
Amadeus replied.

"One of Stelhaven's prisoeers, I believe his name was Thomas have requested a medical examination to make sure someone amed Wallace Jace have not done anythig to his physiology, since Dr Lee was busy here he asked Dr Alvarez to handle the examination."
The yougn woman said. Amadeus pointd towards the stairs.
"Thomas is in my apartment, I can shwo the way if you want Miss Bocuhard."

"Most would prefer no relations with a Paradox Spirit Colin."
Jon said with a sigh.
"Well I doubt I will b able to disuade you of this notion."
"I do ntot ink there is a middle gorund to be found ehre Mr Wainwright either you have the kowledge and will be deemed a threat by many or you do not."
Leelad replained.
"As for the True Brujah I can nto help you there that blooine ad my Clan ahve othign to do with one antoher."
He said soudign a bit anoyed at the mention fot he True Brujah.
"A good enough term I guess Mr Wainwright. I exist, I think, I am what classification of life I would be though is something else. Now as for...gods ideed to witess their class would be truly terrible."
The old vampire muttered reverently.
"Truly terrible indeed."
That's the thing. Never found out if the glass panel survived the fall...' sounding a little annoyed.

Bigger issue is it's programming is hardwired - unable to learn, to improvise. Union brass don't want them to get any ideas, like. And I don't blame them.' sounding a little sad.

Colin hesitated, frowning slightly, "You have? Hum... perhaps you have... Still, it's less of a friendship, and more of keeping relations cordial, I suppose - which is, in his specific case, wiser than maintaining hostile relations. With him, it may come to bite me in the butt, with any other Paradox Spirit, it is inevitable..."
"Most would prefer no relations with a Paradox Spirit Colin."
Jon said with a sigh.
"Well I doubt I will b able to disuade you of this notion."
He nodded, "Presumably, there would be an amount of knowledge that might help me stop Jace, but not enough to make me a target? Hum, no matter... what I need is to save the Bloodline from Wallace Jace, not reverse whatever future misdeeds he has lined up after the fact."
"I do ntot ink there is a middle gorund to be found ehre Mr Wainwright either you have the kowledge and will be deemed a threat by many or you do not."

He paused, "I was wondering about that, actually; not wanting to pry or prod at a sore topic, but... would you care to enlighten me as to why the bloodline is apparently... inadvisable to discuss openly?"
Colin sighed, "Yes, well, my work rather means I have to end up rubbing against his particular domain, so dealing with him is inevitable. Dealing with him in a mutually hostile and confrontational manner is, fortunately, merely optional, and had bloody best be avoided. Sending a few candies and offering tea when he shows up is a very small price to pay for keeping my continued existence and magical ability intact."Anja wrote:"Most would prefer no relations with a Paradox Spirit Colin."

I will, naturally, bring the agreed-upon prize, for your perusal, assuming I have the time to finish it to satisfaction by then."Anja wrote:"A good enough term I guess Mr Wainwright. "Well I guess there are some logic tot hat Colin but for most tryig to avoid building up enough Paradox to summon a Paradox Spirit, much less Old Man Wrikle himself seams to be a better option."
Jon said and he did nto sound convinced.
Leeland sigh at that.
"It have to do witht heir claim that they are well...te true Brujah. According to legend there was first one being who wet by that ame, the lieage founder, and she sired the True Brujah but she was betrayed and a second fouder came into beig and the main Clan is from this interlooper, or at least that is what the True Brujah claim, this makes them little loved aong my Clan. Also they have beef with the Ventrue and have generally made themselves unpopular."
The old vampire explained.
"It is more to it than that, but that would be the short explination."
"I look forwards to our meeting Mr Wainwright, and I think our contest will be quite ejoyable. For now though ahve a plesant night and stay safe."
Leelad waited to see if you had aything to add before hanging up.

A mother's voice. A pure symbol of safety against an unforgiving world.
Serge thought that as he watched Caleb fall asleep. Then carefully he carefully placed a picture next to the kinfolk. And through it willed his imagination to help bring brighter dreams to Caleb as he slept and more importantly, ward away nightmares of his horrific past experiences.
(OOC: Mind 3 effect to prevent Caleb from having nightmares about his time in the torture dungeons. And to bring him brighter happier dreams as he sleeps.

"If you say so Colin...well I should head up and give my raport to Master Shararya."
Jon said.
"So I will see you later."
"It is a bit more to it than that but yes it is about legitimacy."
Leeland replied.

He steeled himself, "Your Highness, this is Mr. Wainwright, I'm sorry for disturbing you so early in the evening, but... I need to speak with you in private, and soon. There is an evil from my society that's threatening to spill over into yours, a monster who has set himself on a course to become a Methuselah and overthrow you. That future can yet be prevented, but I will need your help and blessing to do so... it's a rather sensitive subject."Anja wrote:"And to you as well my good man."
