'No, what happens straight off. Will there be time for another group to make an attempt to halt it?'

"Doubtfully."
Darrian commented dryly.
"Likely we will get only one chance to stop this spirit."

He frowned, "The Incarna will likely not be able to stay long... it's a stalling action. If we fail to get Jace here, now, our best chance for making it in the long run is for Miss Mar to take charge of the rescue operation for the Forest... She'll know what to do. But we'll have to get Jace now. Stand by in case we get Lord Steel out of here."

You again felt like you where passing throguh rotted flesh but it felt even worse now, as if corruption was increasing, as if reality was falling apart around you. You got to a corridor with several organs growing on the wall and a great maw was muttering endlessly a little further in you heard the soudns of the four Masters of the heart desperatly casting spells, and the laugther of something...something horrible.

He grimaced slightly and wiped some imaginary(?) flesh juices off his sleeve, "Ooh, that thing is not healthy for you, is it boy?"
He opened the pouch of sand, grabbed a pinch between his fingertips, and started to move toward the sound at a steady, brisk pace.

You heard a mournful groan from the Labyrinth's mouth, the large cearture clearly was not very happy.

He opened the pouch of sand, grabbed a pinch between his fingertips, and started to move toward the sound at a steady, brisk pace.

Tings did not look well, Mara had a bad wound to her midsection and was bleeding bady, she was still chanting though working witht he other Masters, and all of them looked so tired, even Crexia, somehow she was more pale now, more blue, more similar to the fantasy idea of a lich as the fight with the powerful spirit wore down on her.

Before the Masters stood a man in a full plate armor, the armor was painted black with red details, he had a armored black horse with him, the horse's mane was in flames, so was her hooves. The dark knight was holding a burning lance and a great sword was strapped to the horse's saddle. More than his apperance though was that feelign of hatred, you hated Wallace Jace, you hated Vittoria D'Angelo...you hated...everything...just pure, horrible hate and wish to do violence, a hate that was beyond reason, pure destructive hate filled the room and nearly overwealemed you. This was a god, or at least as close as one could come to it and his power flooded the room and ripped reasona nd sanity apart.

(OOC: May I have a willpower roll to see if Colin manage to keep his senses in Lord Steel's pressence?"

((OOC: Willpower roll: 2,4,5,6,8,8,8... I think that should be enough to retain focus. If not, I'll adjust Colin's next actions accordingly. How much that phrase qualifies as "keeping his senses" will probably be hotly debated by the witnesses, though. ))

Colin gave her a quick nod and a sly wink, though there was a visible angry gleam in his eyes, as he wove a small, subtle little working to accelerate his own reactions as soon as things became troublesome.

"It's not my fault. Mr Wainwright called. Who calls people these days?" Serge thought when he saw the reply. He was half tempted to send the thought as a text to Nicole, but refrained knowing she was likely too busy to engage in such banter.

"Well that is at least one less problem to deal with."
Helena said with a nod.
"I did our Primus have been informed."
The Hermetic said with a deep sigh clearly frustrated that there was so little she could do to help from here.
"I guess we continue our rounds."
The ice maga muttered sourly.

"Feels wrong to just continue as normal after news like that. Oh well can't be helped. Let's see what happens next." Serge said with a sigh sharing in the ice maga's frustrations.

With nod and wave of farewell he continued on his patrols throughout the chantry.

I have no idea, it sounded like you wanted the walls moved so I said they could be. The wards are not connected to the walls so moving them will not affect the wards themselves."
The Keeper replied with a shrug.

He was looking to the map to see if there was a way to exploit that for their advantage.

Adley's response to her look was a mix of indignation and appalled surprise that she would think that about him and voice it in such a circumstance to boot, then anger, all mixed together. A line was just crossed, fully, but he didn't spare her further response. There was no time and if he was going to die in the dungeon he at least wanted to die trying to save people and further the goals they had of stopping all this mess than arguing with her.

"Well I guess then if we can not teleport in due to wards we have to use the eyeballs, get as close as we can and go the rest of the way by foot? Mr Darehill and the Keeper will work their magick to trap as many of our enemies as they can...and we deal with the rest?"
The alchemist asked.

"Correct we can't teleport. Yes, we need an opening, and enough time to position if we can."

"Ok so I and Mr Sherman works on the wards?"
Anna asked.
"And stay out of danger otherwise?"
She added and Helga nodded.
"I can stay with Mr Sherman and Anna and keep them safe."
The Cultist offered.

"I can also form shadows into a weapon and teleport though them."

"But I guess we go in after the wards are done?"

"Or do we just rush in, find the most dangerouns of the pawns and take them otu as soon as possible without waiting for the wards to be taken down?"

"Not so much as rush as attempt to ambush, distract, and remove threats. We will attempt to cut off some of the pawns, deal with the ones we can't as soon as we can. Those working on the wards, which look to be formidable, will need time to do that and to be unaccosted."

"Don't worry about it Mr Roth Hicks I can do it."
She assured you. Tali gave a nod of approval when you said nto to harm her Labyrinth.
"Ehm back door, what back door?"
Helga asked.
"So we are nto to give in if hostages are taken?"

"Depending if we get the wards down, we may be able to get through where they used to be. As for other hostage situations, we will have to see if we can stall till reinforcements, but let us try to avoid that."

The Etherite gave a 'whatever' shrug to this, either not understanding at part of the answer, not caring or both. Once again, clearly taking the 'path of least resistance', like she was a character in a computer game and the player was skipping all the conversations.

Nicole didn't look at him. In fact, she didn't really look at much in general, save clearly keeping an eye on any surprise attack. But she seemed a lot more blasé; seemingly happy with others making the plans, orders and so on. Which was a bit weird for her.

You managed to avoid the strike Lord Steel had intended to impact with your jaw, you felt the mightly weapon brush past you. When you cast the sand at the Meajin incarna the powerful spirit shivered for a moment, he sort of flickered and he cocked his head to the side looking confused then he backed up a step.
"Most unplesant...very well worm, you have my attention!"
The powerful corrupted warrior roared his voice like a battle axe sheering through armor.
"Now mage what do you want?"

"Feels wrong to just continue as normal after news like that. Oh well can't be helped. Let's see what happens next." Serge said with a sigh sharing in the ice maga's frustrations.

"It do feel wrong, it feel very wrong but unless you have a good idea for something we can do, it seams we have done all we can to help our allies and all we can actually do is keep the Chantry safe until they return."

"But yes I want to be out there with them, fighting by their side but right now we have to protect Steelhaven, it is all we can do."

You continued walking around Steelhaven the Chantry felt rather empty as you saw no one in the hallways, everyone being either out, or on guard duty or sleeping.

A pot of tea and a few years of peace to raise a family would be nice, but I'm not going to get that, am I? No, what I want for you to do is to depart from my Labyrinth, and leave Boston be, so I can get my hands on Wallace Jace's spectral neck and reduce the bastard's remains to a highly inconvenienced trophy that won't be able to bother anyone again. And you might want to consider taking with you any infernalists in your service in the process, if they're fond of the power you've bestowed upon them. After all, the Fallen of this place drained most of just one of their Nodes to bring you in partially, to cover their craven escape... Just one of their Nodes. Does that seem like a fair price for them to escape retribution?"

Waiting a moment to see if Lord Steel made another move, Colin poured the sand back in the pouch and held up a hand, drawing a circle in the air and shaping the light to show Lord Steel, and all the gathered Masters, the future if Jace got away... the corrupted Static endgame of Moloch, "If we don't get Jace, the world will be locked in a nightmare unending, with neither Ascension nor Descension ever possible..."

The Meajin Incarna just looked at you for a while, impassivly not really caring about the suffering of his Infarnalists but he was annoyed his toys had been taken away. Lord Steel said nothing but at least he had halted his attack so that was premission enough for you to show him what you wanted him to see.

Colin calmly closed his hand, choking off the light show, "Creating an illusion is easy, yes, but consider this - this was a very detailed view of the bleakest possible future, of a being that should not be, to a greater extent than that with which the Traditions view your entire faction. I..."
He paused for a moment, "Lord Irik the Defiler of Time owes me an answer True. I call in the marker for you to hear - is the vision of what will be true, if Wallace Jace wins this night?"

"It was detailed yes but fiction can be detailed, just look at books containing entire worlds and their stories, you cane asilly have created a detialed illusion that is nto proof."
The powerful spirit fumed.

He paused for a moment, "Lord Irik the Defiler of Time owes me an answer True. I call in the marker for you to hear - is the vision of what will be true, if Wallace Jace wins this night?"

For a moment nothing happened and then there was a voice that sounded from everywhere at once, it sounded like the slow march of time towards death and nothingness, if that had a sound.
"Yes...while no one battle will determine the entire fate of reality unless Wallace Jace is stopped this night then chances are the reality he wishes, the reality you have seen will come to pass, he will be much harder to stop. The end of time is coming."

He straightened up again, tapping out a quick message to Adley, 'An Aswadim's attention was briefly here, and the Incarna left. Tali and Anna might have been hit by the peripheral power, please check they're alright. Resuming the hunt here, Masters seem alright.'

Lord Steel was not fully manifested and the four of us was failing at holding him back and soon he would have broken through, he could have ended you with less than a thought."

"Well the sand made Lord Steel flinch, something the four of us was unnable to do so I would say it still had an effect but it was not as efficient as we might have hoped."
The archmage flexed her slender hands and frowned.

"The young lady is not a member of Master nassa's Coven, they have their own Coven out in Worchester."
