Anja wrote:"Forget me completely perhaps, but forget an appointment we have that is something else."
Jon said and he frowned.
"But we will see."

"Oh we will see. Me and my five alarms." Serge said opening his phone and creating seven separate alarms to remind himself of the appointment all set to trigger at different times over the next week.

Anja wrote:Helena came back to the car.
"I got what we needed."
She said and she held up a small vial of thick, green liquid.

After Serge was done changing he went to Helena and said, "Hey, we can do the firearm knowledge sharing spell now if you want."

[Narim's room]

"Well, then we can talk about it," he said with a nod to him.

"Thank you Adley then we should, but when we are alone I do not know if I am ready to discuss my soul with others listening in."
Narim said and he gave a little uncertain smile.
"It is very private after all."

"He is not going anywhere outside the chantry, unescorted at least. it is too dangerous but of course it's not my decision."

"I can not imagine Jeffry allowing Kyle out of the Chantry alone either, nor would it be wise as there are those who might wish harm on the boy, but I am sure Mr Wainwright would not put the kid in danger."
The Virtual Adept said.

"Er...well, maybe not till we sort out this stuff with /that bastard/ first. Priorities."

"Priorities off course, we will talk when there is time."
Narim said and nodded.

He took his bag and ducked into the room with Cita and closed the door, glancing around to see if there was a chair or just the bed to sit on. He put his bag down and the book carefully inside it for the time being.

Narim's bedroom was nice and clean, the walls where white, there was dark yellow curtains at the window which held several cacti, two of which you had given the technomancer since you knew he favored them. The bed was nicely made up with a red and dark yellow bedspread, a carpet in the same colors where on the floor. There was a white chair by a small white reading table, and also a very large, colorful pillow before the small shrine Narim kept to pray to his Gods and meditate by. The last thing in the room was a white wardrobe.

Cita sat down on the floor and opened her laptop.
"Jeffry said you had cast a spell using more Quintessence than you can handle and then had a vision of some sort and he asked me to check on your ehm...lodger."
She said and looked up at you.
"Are there any more pain or discomfort from your Avatar than normal?"
She asked.
"Normally though our fleshy sleves are far more likely to have a bad reaction to a flush of Quintessence than an Avatar, they are naturally part of the Quintessence flow of the world, so while you might feel hung over I doubt it did your Avatar other than good, but with your permission let us have a look."
The spirit said and smiled.

[Garage]

"Oh we will see. Me and my five alarms." Serge said opening his phone and creating seven separate alarms to remind himself of the appointment all set to trigger at different times over the next week.

"Your alarms might not do you much good kid, such things tend to fail, your magick might have a better chance to working though."
Jon said then he sigh.
"But I will remind you as well."

After Serge was done changing he went to Helena and said, "Hey, we can do the firearm knowledge sharing spell now if you want."

"One moment then."
Helena said and she removed a steel dagger from her jacket and muttered some words over it and tapped her forehead with it.
"I have made the information available for you while the rest of my mind remains warded Mr Yager."
The Flambeau said as she put her dagger away again.
"You have my premission to cast your spell."

[Narim's Apartment]
Anja wrote:"Well whoever had the courage to speak first, we are both fortunate men Mr Wainwright, to have someone wonderful in our lives."
Narim said and he smiled a little.
S7trif3 wrote:He smiled a bit, as well and gave a small shrug. Then a blush that crept over his nose to his ears but he looked pleased as well.
Colin grinned, "We are... and I suppose at some level we all deserve to be, from time to time."

[Narim's Apartment - Reprise]
Anja wrote:"It is getting there but just with particles thus far but yes I get your point Mr Wainwright, we would normally call it hyperscience or Enlightened science but I guess superscience works as well."
Cita said with a smile.
He nodded, "Ah, hyperscience. My bad. But yes, the procedure planned is quite a distance beyond what sleeper science could even conceive of at present. Perhaps in a hundred years... or more."

Anja wrote:"Well that should not be a problem then, I thought you wanted to send Kyle somewhere since you said he needed a safe way to return."
Narim said and nodded.
"I am sure the kid will be helpful."
S7trif3 wrote:"He is not going anywhere outside the chantry, unescorted at least. it is too dangerous but of course it's not my decision."
Anja wrote:"I can not imagine Jeffry allowing Kyle out of the Chantry alone either, nor would it be wise as there are those who might wish harm on the boy, but I am sure Mr Wainwright would not put the kid in danger."
The Virtual Adept said.
He shook his head, "Goodness, no, if Kyle thinks his friend can offer valuable advice, I'm sure he'll be able to call her - it's the 21st century; I'd be surprised if the girl doesn't have a phone. And even if she doesn't, it won't require a significant amount of work to speak with her at a distance and give her directions here."

S7trif3 wrote:"The addresses we got, so Narim and Nicole can get them and they can be checked out.
He nodded, flipping through his notes, "Ah, of course...he told us the Milliners have offices at the Jones building, apparently owned rather than rented, and..."
He frowned, "Bugger, I forgot to mention this, Francis Milliner apparently owns a number of banks and is invested in private prisons. All around lovely personality..."
He flipped another couple of pages, reading out the address Fio had given, "Ah, right, here's the address where he said the oracle is held; did anyone get the key Nicole found traced for cross-referencing?"
He frowned, "Let's see, mention of the alarm system and solitary guard... Ah, I may have forgotten to bring it up to Narim in the confusion after the fight. Terribly sorry; thank you for reminding me..."

[Kyle's Apartment]
Anja wrote:"I have four controllers."
Kyle commented.
"Yeah that would be cool Sir I am not sure who Anna or Cava are, they sound like girls. But yeah a four player game would be fun."
Andrew said and smiled.
"The more the merrier and ok Sir. I will have some coffee at least, I think I am picking up my Mentor's bad habit she drinks allot of the stuff."
He smiled, "You have four controllers, true, but I was thinking of something for the common room, perhaps - some setup where we might hold and watch tournaments or the like, or perhaps make innocent wagers on the outcomes of the matches. As for Anna and Cava, Anna is my adopted daughter and apprentice, a lot like Kyle in some respects. Cava is the apprentice of our resident Alchemist."

Anja wrote:Noticing you glancing at the drawings Kyle explained as he picked up his mess.
"Miss Alexander and Serge...ehm Mr Yager have been teaching me Sir."
He nodded, "It's good work. Very good, considering you hadn't really had much time for training before coming here, had you?"

Anja wrote:"Master Jace is back...fuck!"
Kyle muttered.
"Well ehm...sorry about the language."
He then blushed as you mentioned Danielle.
"Ehm...yes sure. I can ask her. I see no reason not to bring her here I doubt anyone here at Steelhaven would harm her."
The young mage agreed.
"She might be able to help, and from what I have understood it what Jace is doing is extremely illegal by the laws the ghosts have, as in seriously illegal, that is why Danielle fear encountering other ghosts, her being here in what she call the fleshlands can get her into big trouble."
He nodded, "Your choice of expletive is perfectly appropriate to the situation. I would ask that you confer with your Mentor first, though, before calling her, and with Master Sharaya about finding her a suitably safe route here. Er... assuming she has a phone, of course?"

((OOC: I need to be as meticulous as Colin about the notes - had to dig through half the previous thread... Razz ))

[Narim's Apartment]

Colin grinned, "We are... and I suppose at some level we all deserve to be, from time to time."

"Everyone deserve a chance at happiness."
Narim said and he smiled a little and looked at Adley again and blushed.

[Narim's Apartment - Reprise]

He nodded, "Ah, hyperscience. My bad. But yes, the procedure planned is quite a distance beyond what sleeper science could even conceive of at present. Perhaps in a hundred years... or more."

"I do not even know what this procedure is so it is very hard for me to say one way or another."
Cita said and she looked a bit curious.

"Ah you are planning on asking the ever elusive Danielle for aid Mr Wainwright?"
Narim said and he grinned.
"The boy blush and fret every time he mention her name, I am sure an assignment to talk with her will be appreciated indeed."

"Off course they do, I should guessed they have stakes in one of the most corrupted businesses in the nation."
Narim said and he frowned.
"I can see what I can find out about the Jones building though."
He offered.

"Yes you did forget to mention that indeed."
Narim said with a bit of a smile. The address Colin had written down was the same that Nicole had just been given.

[Kyle's Apartment]

He smiled, "You have four controllers, true, but I was thinking of something for the common room, perhaps - some setup where we might hold and watch tournaments or the like, or perhaps make innocent wagers on the outcomes of the matches. As for Anna and Cava, Anna is my adopted daughter and apprentice, a lot like Kyle in some respects. Cava is the apprentice of our resident Alchemist."

"Well I could bring my machine down to the common room and hook it up to the projector used for movie nights."
Kyle suggested.
"That might be fun."
He added. Andrew smiled a little.
"Your own apprentice Sir and a young alchemist, cool, it will be fun to meet them."
He said as he poured water into the coffee maker.

He nodded, "It's good work. Very good, considering you hadn't really had much time for training before coming here, had you?"

"I did doodle now and again but I have not worked at it before I came to Steelhaven, thank you Sir."
Kyle said and he smiled proudly.

He nodded, "Your choice of expletive is perfectly appropriate to the situation. I would ask that you confer with your Mentor first, though, before calling her, and with Master Sharaya about finding her a suitably safe route here. Er... assuming she has a phone, of course?"

"I will ask my Mentor if I may contact Danielle and then go and see Master Sharaya."
Kyle said and he had tured beet red.
"Yeah ehm she...have a phone Sir...so I can call her."
He said and blushed again.

'Didn't know you'd known about this Seer when you were talking to the slave. Once this shit is over we've gotta sit down and work out a proper comms system. Before "lack of intel sharing" ends up with someone hurt or dead.'

"I was with him the whole time, but it's an easy thing to forget or not realize. Lack of intel sharing is also a way not to get certain info into the hands of the enemy if they capture one of us. Hopefully that would not happen though. Do be careful."

"Thank you Adley then we should, but when we are alone I do not know if I am ready to discuss my soul with others listening in."
Narim said and he gave a little uncertain smile.
"It is very private after all."

"Of course."

'You don't know for sure "she's the only one who can stop this". Hadermann thinks a vaccine might be able to be made.' Nicole retorted. 'Your future-peek didn't cover everything. For all you know, that future might happen 'cos you didn't tell anybody.' poise and tone making it clear to those who knew her that Nicole was on the verge of giving up...

"You do continue to make assumptions. However, if it matters to you at all, I understand your frustrations with his time shenanigans and the ideas of fate and precognitions and so forth. Yet I also have seen them save our lives and more as well."

"I can not imagine Jeffry allowing Kyle out of the Chantry alone either, nor would it be wise as there are those who might wish harm on the boy, but I am sure Mr Wainwright would not put the kid in danger."
The Virtual Adept said.
He shook his head, "Goodness, no, if Kyle thinks his friend can offer valuable advice, I'm sure he'll be able to call her - it's the 21st century; I'd be surprised if the girl doesn't have a phone. He nodded at that.

"Ah you are planning on asking the ever elusive Danielle for aid Mr Wainwright?"
Narim said and he grinned.
"The boy blush and fret every time he mention her name, I am sure an assignment to talk with her will be appreciated indeed."

"Careful of names, hara mou. Also that might be complicated...well, you'll see what my pater has to say of it."

He flipped another couple of pages, reading out the address Fio had given, "Ah, right, here's the address where he said the oracle is held; did anyone get the key Nicole found traced for cross-referencing?" He frowned, "Let's see, mention of the alarm system and solitary guard... Ah, I may have forgotten to bring it up to Narim in the confusion after the fight. Terribly sorry; thank you for reminding me..."

"Hrm, the other address was the office building, then. I thought we'd gotten another one, but that is why Nicole is here in part to check on the key." He glanced at her. "I hope that clarifies things?"

The spirit said and smiled.

Since Cita sat on the floor it would be rude to sit on a chair like that so he joined her, though he was still feeling off from what happened. He took out the tablet to write something on it as he said, "Yes, I did cast a spell using a lot more quintessence than I should I was helping to make a ward against a powerful intruder so I tried my best, I gave myself quite a hangover. Eh...one of the spells I cast well, it was a bit private but let me know if you notice anything different? Perhaps though you might be able to assist my mentor and us to help though, since your particular specialties are relevant. But I had wanted to ask for a checkup anyway. Because of this..." He handed her the tablet, upon which he'd written: 'Lately, over the last weeks when I wake up the pain is quite bad. Enough to impinge on my normal routine.'

"Of course."

Narim smiled a little at that and nodded.

"Careful of names, hara mou. Also that might be complicated...well, you'll see what my pater has to say of it."

"Ah yes off course...sorry about that...names off course. And yes we will see."
The Virtual Adept said and scratched his head.

'You don't know for sure "she's the only one who can stop this". Hadermann thinks a vaccine might be able to be made.' Nicole retorted. 'Your future-peek didn't cover everything. "A vaccine being made would be great Miss Bouchard."
Narim said then he sigh.
"But you are going to have to ask Freddy herself if you want more details."

'That the Seer - if any good - should have seen the "Union dusting off the HIT-Marks" as the future. But agreed; this not important right now.'

"He would not be able to, the seer is a very, very weak vampire, some of them can see things in their own society, as if they can see across the program animating them, like if they have been given a bit of the source code, but they can nto see non vampires, not from how I have gotten it explained at least."
Narim explained.

'Didn't know you'd known about this Seer when you were talking to the slave. Once this shit is over we've gotta sit down and work out a proper comms system. Before "lack of intel sharing" ends up with someone hurt or dead.'

"I agree that is probably a good idea Miss Bouchard both for your Cabal and for the Chantry at large."
The Virtual Adept said with a nod.

He handed her the tablet, upon which he'd written: 'Lately, over the last weeks when I wake up the pain is quite bad. Enough to impinge on my normal routine.'

"It is probably best to give it a check up and you do not need to tell me about the spell or it's nature but I noticed the rather impressive firewall you have around Narim's room."
Cita said as she started typing on her computer, she paused to take your tablet and read it then she sigh.
"That is what I expected would happen, we knew going into this it would be painful and I am sorry to tell you that until the shard is big enough to be banished into the Umbra to reform itself the pain will only grow worse."
She said in a regretful tone of voice.
"I will try to see if I can alleviate the pain a little Adley but the last few weeks of this will not be pleasant...I am sorry."
The Virtual Adept said and you could feel the annoyance from your Avatar as she examined it.
"All look good though, your Avatar is perfectly healthy and beautiful but the shard have...grown...within a month we are going to have to remove it...you have to prepare for that."
She said in a solemn tone of voice.
"And you might be out of commission for a little bit after it is banished, depending on how bad...it will end up being. I am sorry Adley I wish I could tell you this would all be pleasant."

[Garage]

'Ah, we can get a new handle for it. Then it'll be a happy broom again.'

"True, but it had such a nice handle so now we have an unhappy broom and an soon to be unhappy vampire."
Jon commented wryly.

Uh-huh. If last time is anything to go by, the staking will wake it up, but they won't be able to move or anything.'

"Shit...that must be terrifying, just sleeping and then boom waking up in pain, helpless and surrounded by strangers who mean you ill...I so hope this woman is an evil bastard or I will seriously feel really bad for doing this to her."
The Virtual Adept said and frowned.

Though Nicole had been checking her rucksack, she noticed Bruce changing - and the look on her face made it rather obvious she wasn't objecting to the view.

Bruce did not seam to notice you looking, he was used to working bare chested in the forge he did not mind being seen. He was not shy.

'Cool. You got the cuffs too?'

"That I did."
Helena said and patted her back pocket.

[Narim's room]

"It is probably best to give it a check up and you do not need to tell me about the spell or it's nature but I noticed the rather impressive firewall you have around Narim's room."
Cita said as she started typing on her computer

"Well, that is just the outer barrier. I was not sure if it was going to be enough, considering my current level of casting, so I made another, figuring that it might at least slow it down further."

"That is what I expected would happen, we knew going into this it would be painful and I am sorry to tell you that until the shard is big enough to be banished into the Umbra to reform itself the pain will only grow worse."
She said in a regretful tone of voice.

"It is not unexpected," he said with a sigh.

"I will try to see if I can alleviate the pain a little Adley but the last few weeks of this will not be pleasant...I am sorry."
The Virtual Adept said and you could feel the annoyance from your Avatar as she examined it.

"It is not your fault, I appreciate anything you can do."

"All look good though, your Avatar is perfectly healthy and beautiful but the shard have...grown...within a month we are going to have to remove it...you have to prepare for that." She said in a solemn tone of voice. "And you might be out of commission for a little bit after it is banished, depending on how bad...it will end up being. I am sorry Adley I wish I could tell you this would all be pleasant."

He frowned. "There are...things coming soon that I will need to be able to fight, the timing is important, as is our upcoming trip which looks delayed. We should figure out the best time to do this so that I can be back on my feet. I also have some ideas about how it may be done to minimize the impact, as it were...I have been doing some research on this as well as other spirit related matters." He frowned and then took the book out that Colin gave him and held it up then put it back on the top of his bag carefully. "This is one of the other things I wanted to talk about." He put his hand out for the tablet again and erased what was there to write: 'I know you have studied this phenomenon, of the bringing of an avatar by a carrier spirit to join them as one in perfection - I would very much like to know anything that you know of them, that might be useful, at least at the level I might understand. Any rumors that you may have heard, anything. Also, if you have any thoughts on keeping a paradox spirit out, which is a separate and rather urgent matter also.'

"But time and bullets are precious so I'll do it the boring way. Hold that gun the way you were taught. As if your shooting a threat in front of you."

He pulled out his small notepad and pencil and watched Ms. Mar carefully.

Helena accepted the gun and checked it out of routine with practiced motions then she found a place where she would not be pointing at anyone and posed as Serge requested with a bit of a sigh, keeping her finger outside of the trigger guard.
"Very Well Mr Yager. Hopefully this will not take to long we do not have the luxury of spending allot of time for you to get the chance to make a drawing."

[Narim's Apartment - Reprise]
Anja wrote:"I do not even know what this procedure is so it is very hard for me to say one way or another."
Cita said and she looked a bit curious.
Colin frowned, voice lowered "Gathering all of the plague from everywhere, and placing it in one... location."

Anja wrote:"Ah you are planning on asking the ever elusive Danielle for aid Mr Wainwright?"
Narim said and he grinned.
"The boy blush and fret every time he mention her name, I am sure an assignment to talk with her will be appreciated indeed."
S7trif3 wrote:"Careful of names, hara mou. Also that might be complicated...well, you'll see what my pater has to say of it."
Anja wrote:"Ah yes off course...sorry about that...names off course. And yes we will see."
The Virtual Adept said and scratched his head.
He nodded, "I've been told taking on flesh again is one of the greatest taboos for ghosts, so she might be able to fill in details on how that particular crime is responded to by ghosts in general. We might be able to get some... unconventional assistance in dealing with out antagonist. And yes, I expect the Chief might have objections, but he'll at least hear the idea out. I won't ask Kyle to simply go over his head."

Nicole wrote:'You don't know for sure "she's the only one who can stop this". Hadermann thinks a vaccine might be able to be made.' Nicole retorted. 'Your future-peek didn't cover everything. The "third option" may be open to us. For all you know, that future might happen 'cos you didn't tell anybody.' poise and tone making it clear to those who knew her that Nicole was on the verge of giving up...
S7trif3 wrote:"You do continue to make assumptions. However, if it matters to you at all, I understand your frustrations with his time shenanigans and the ideas of fate and precognitions and so forth. Yet I also have seen them save our lives and more as well."
Anja wrote:"A vaccine being made would be great Miss Bouchard."
Narim said then he sigh.
"But you are going to have to ask Freddy herself if you want more details."
He frowned, "I do know she's the only one who can stop it, and that has nothing to do with premonitions. A vaccine will take far too long to deploy, but she... can get rid of it all. More than that is, for now, beyond your pay grade, Miss Bouchard."

Anja wrote:"Off course they do, I should guessed they have stakes in one of the most corrupted businesses in the nation."
Narim said and he frowned.
"I can see what I can find out about the Jones building though."
He offered.
He nodded, "Should be safe enough to do a mundane investigation, at least."

Anja wrote:"Yes you did forget to mention that indeed."
Narim said with a bit of a smile. The address Colin had written down was the same that Nicole had just been given.
S7trif3 wrote:"Hrm, the other address was the office building, then. I thought we'd gotten another one, but that is why Nicole is here in part to check on the key." He glanced at her. "I hope that clarifies things?"
He smiled wryly, "Ah, my bad. I would have got around to it to confirm it against the address gained from the key, though. Did that scan, or haven't you had the time yet?"

Nicole wrote:'Didn't know you'd known about this Seer when you were talking to the slave. Once this shit is over we've gotta sit down and work out a proper comms system. Before "lack of intel sharing" ends up with someone hurt or dead.'
S7trif3 wrote:"I was with him the whole time, but it's an easy thing to forget or not realize. Lack of intel sharing is also a way not to get certain info into the hands of the enemy if they capture one of us. Hopefully that would not happen though. Do be careful."
Anja wrote:"I agree that is probably a good idea Miss Bouchard both for your Cabal and for the Chantry at large."
The Virtual Adept said with a nod.
He arched an eyebrow, then nodded, "Alright, you're right, we should sit down and improve on a communications system. But in this case, it was a deliberate case of compartmentalizing information, as you did not need to know those details on your imminent and quite separate retrieval mission. You just needed to deliver the key. And I need to be able to trust that you can follow orders without receiving every single piece of extraneous information first."

[Kyle's Apartment]
Anja wrote:"Well I could bring my machine down to the common room and hook it up to the projector used for movie nights."
Kyle suggested.
"That might be fun."
He added. Andrew smiled a little.
"Your own apprentice Sir and a young alchemist, cool, it will be fun to meet them."
He said as he poured water into the coffee maker.
He grinned, "That's a great idea. I believe Master Sharaya will approve, too."

Anja wrote:"I will ask my Mentor if I may contact Danielle and then go and see Master Sharaya."
Kyle said and he had tured beet red.
"Yeah ehm she...have a phone Sir...so I can call her."
He said and blushed again.
He nodded, "I know she's distractingly adorable, but keep in mind Chief Morgan might not immediately approve of the suggestion, so you need to point out that Jace is trying to commit a crime against ghostkind, lending the opportunity to, with her guidance, recruit allies against him."

[Narim's room]

"Well, that is just the outer barrier. I was not sure if it was going to be enough, considering my current level of casting, so I made another, figuring that it might at least slow it down further."

Cita nodded at that.
"Well it is nice work Adley very nice."
Was all she had to say to that.
"But it did work, from what Jeffry said you managed to protect Narim well."

"It is not unexpected," he said with a sigh.

"No it is not, I wish I had better news for you though."
The spirit healer said and frowned.

"It is not your fault, I appreciate anything you can do."

"Yeah I will see what is going on with your Avatar and then see what I can do."
Cita said softly.

"I agree we have to find a good time to do this Adley and during the trial your brother will need you, but at the same time if we delay this to long, there will be damage, sooner rather than later we have to do this."
Cita said softly.
"Whatever or not you are needed elsewhere or not, sometimes soldiers need to rest and take care of themselves."

"Well there are quite a bit to be said about Psycopomps, it is not a topic to cover quickly so the question is how long do you got?"
The spirit healer said.
"In short in the old days they led Avatars from the Well of Souls and to their hosts making perfect unions, this led Avatars to be Founts they did not need to guide their hosts as the two where in perfect harmony. A mage with a Faunt are more potent and powerful than one with an Avatar, but do nto get the same spiritual development. We do not know what Psycopomps are, but the few who have seen them say they appear as their own idea of perfect divinity."
She said.
"There is also a rite or a theory of a rite at least where a mage can join with a Psycopomp to become a form of perfect being able to freely manipulate souls."
Cita sigh then she looked down.
"Paradox spirits are hard to keep out, reducing Paradox are the only way...there are ways to do that but few of them are plesant."
She said in a serious tone of voice.

[Narim's Apartment - Reprise]

Colin frowned, voice lowered "Gathering all of the plague from everywhere, and placing it in one... location."

"I guess that is possible if we knew the source of it."
Cita said and nodded.

Narim nodded at that.
"It is a sound idea and it is worth seeing if it could lead anywhere, but we have to try to make sure Kyle's little friend are not harmed by all of this as well as she to wold then be guilty by the laws of her own society."

He nodded, "Should be safe enough to do a mundane investigation, at least."

"I will see what I can find."
Narim agreed.

He smiled wryly, "Ah, my bad. I would have got around to it to confirm it against the address gained from the key, though. Did that scan, or haven't you had the time yet?"

"I have not had a chance to do that yet now but I have suggested asking Mrs Von Hess's help with the key."
Narim said apologetically.

[Kyle's Apartment]

He grinned, "That's a great idea. I believe Master Sharaya will approve, too."

"Sounds good just tell me when."
Kyle said and smiled.

He nodded, "I know she's distractingly adorable, but keep in mind Chief Morgan might not immediately approve of the suggestion, so you need to point out that Jace is trying to commit a crime against ghostkind, lending the opportunity to, with her guidance, recruit allies against him."

"Ok I will tell him that Mr Wainwright."
Kyle agreed.
"I hope he says yes though I really miss Danielle."
He added and he blushed again.

He attempted to mimick these movements himself, pretending he was a badass Hermetic battlemage shooting down faceless enemies left and right. When the picture was done he focused his mind on it and used it as a bridge into Helena's mind to read these experiences and take her knowledge as his own.

(OOC: Using Mind 3 - "Skillshare" to borrow temporary dots in the firearm ability from Helena.

Arete Roll: 8, 2, 9, 2 - 2, 5, 10, 4 - 3, 4, 6, 3 - 4, 2, 2, 7

That should be enough for up to 5 dots in the firearm skill although Serge can only gain as much as Helena has. Any extra successes will go to the duration.

When the picture was done he focused his mind on it and used it as a bridge into Helena's mind to read these experiences and take her knowledge as his own.

Allot of what you got from Helena was of the do not do this and do not do that variety, never play with your gun, never aim it at someone you do not intend to at least threahten to shoot, do not put your finger on the trigger unless you are ready to use the weapon, always assume a weapon is loaded and check it when you need to assure yourself that it is and also before handing your weapon to anyone or doing anything that require the weapon to be safe, make sure do not assume. You also got hours and hours of weapons training, and experience in combat. Helena had compatmentionalized her knowledge of firearms so you got that though the rest of her mind was walled of.

(OOC: You now have 4 dots in firearms for as long as your rote will last.)

[Narim's room]

"Of course you would not," he agreed to the latter with a nod.

Narim looked at you for a moment and nodded.
"If anything happened to Miss Danielle your brother would be devastated, I am sure we can get her here safely though."

"Thank god."

"Thank god indeed."
Cita said and frowned.

"All I can ask is we try our best to get the timing we can and the help that will be needed, perhaps to ensure that as well."

"Well like I said we can wait for a while longer, I do not think it will be dangerous for some time yet, however it will get increasingly painful...the spiritual drugs Master Nassa and Mr Karyak made for Beatrice might aid you and might be neccesary after a while for you to be able to function in your day to day life."
The spirit healer said with a sigh.

"Not as long as I would like."

"Let us hope then that I can give you some information in the short time we have available."
She said and nodded.

Ah, the implications of that are troubling. Can you tell me more of this?"

"I can...for it is my greatest wish to attain this for myself."
The spirit healer said and she finally looked up from her computer.
"Anakim have the power to directly manipulate Avatars, including re creating a destroyed one. To become such a hybrid being is the same as to gain the Psycopomp's knowledge of souls. This is rare and is a end to the path, just like becoming an Exemplar or a God, it is the union between a willing Psycopomp and a willing Awakened mage, and would be the result of spiritual trials and development where the two become one. However there is rumor that Heylel Teomim had found a way to force such a union, a way in which a Rebis could join with a Psycopomp against the entity's will and get powers beyond imagining, including the power to consume other Avatars to increase their strength. I do not know if this is just a rumor though or real since no one have found Master Teomim's Grimoire."
Cita said and she gave you a serious look.
"At the time it had only been twenty years since the last Psycopomp was seen and the young Traditions where in a panic over their young member's souls speaking to them, so it could be Master Teomim wanted to find a way to bring them back...however without the grimorire no one knows."

"This is something of a unique and horrible situation." He explained on the tablet: 'The paradox spirit was once human but lost to...what it became and is being manipulated against it's will. This spirit once attacked its target as part of it's true duties but now under the direction of a ghost, and is being ill used to try to steal an avatar like some retriever and bring it back so it can be put inside a body. I would suppose said ghost would inhabit said body. None of this can be allowed to happen. Please, do you know anything that might aid us?'

"That is troubleling."
Cita said after she had read the tablet.
"Paradox spirits are able to touch our Avatars, you might ahve noticed that most Umbroods refer to us as those with what we can not touch inside...they notice our Avatars but they can not interact with them. A Paradox spirit can and we know there are at least one such spirit, Rune Feather who have a tendency to steal the Avatars of unfortunate mages...however Paradox spirits can be banished, just like any other spirit. And if Narim have not gotten to much Paradox it can be safely drained, this is vulgar so I usually only offer this service on Horizon but I will make an exception, without Paradox stored in his soul the guardians of the Consensus can nto touch it, the spirit would be blind."
She said.
"Other than that strong wards and someone ready to do banishings will be the only protection...unless you wish to destroy the spirit, which will be a last resort scenario."

'It's also a perfect way to make sure waste of time and effort, when everybody's re-making the damn wheel. Yet again, this is something which the Union has one over us.'

"Some information need to be compartmentalized and some information are private but yes there should be a better system to share what information can be shared."
Narim said.
"However at times one have to accept that one just do not need to know right at that moment."

Been doing more than just that. I got a load more samples for Hadermann to play with, for starters. Yet... you not considered that one of the reasons we ended up in the "Bad Future" you did a cheat-glimpse on was the fact you're running a crew which is too big to have you active in the field too?'

The Virtual Adept raised an eyebrow at this but he did not reply, he picked up his teacup again and sipped the liquid letting Colin deal with issues in his own Cabal by himself.

"Well is there anything else we need?"

Excellent. Anything else? Oh, for you...' pulling out a clipboard with a sheet of paper on it and handing it over to Serge.

"Urgh...." Serge said clutching his arms as hours upon hours of weapon training entered into his mind and unexpecting body. He began stretching his arms, and Helena would likely recognize the stretches as they were likely the warm up exercises she did before her firearm practice.

"Why does recoil hurt so much? And how is it that guns always manage to be louder than I'm expecting?" he said, his cheerful face gone and replaced by a more inquisitive look similar to Helena's, as he tried to parse the newfound knowledge and memories he had obtained.

"Most interesting."
Helena said and she regarded you.
"I can make the recoil a bit less of a problem though with one of the spells my Mentor taught me which will store some of the energy in the gun to be used later."
The Flambeau offered.
"Though most likely you will not have to use the weapon."

"Sweet. Needed a place to put these." Serge said taking the clipboard and attaching the specially made drawings of the three targets onto it and placing a few sheets of paper over them to hide it from view. "You know, I always read that you could break into any place just by holding a clipboard and looking like you belong."

"Not every place Mr Yager but people want to comply so if you appear like you belong and especially if you appear to have some authority many are going to just comply."
Helena said and frowned.

I think that's everything done for me. I'm good to go as well." Serge said following Helena into the car.

"Then we should get going Mr Yager."
Antonio said as he climbed in as well, picked up his note book and started writing.
"I will prepare some spells n the way."

Serge's Post:

'Not everywhere... but you can get quite far with "looking like you belong". The amount of times I've passed as an electrician, phone engineer or plumber...'

Anja's Post:

'No.. think that's it.' giving a nod and heading back to grab her rucksack. 'Let's head out; who's driving?'

[Problems seem to be on-off with forum provider]

[Nicole does have a point; the cabal's too big for Colin to manage effectively on a ad hoc basis. Especially if he's often in the field and several members are elsewhere. And with only insecure cellphone lines for communications.]

Anja wrote:"Most interesting."
Helena said and she regarded you.
"I can make the recoil a bit less of a problem though with one of the spells my Mentor taught me which will store some of the energy in the gun to be used later."
The Flambeau offered.
"Though most likely you will not have to use the weapon."

"Nah I'm good. I'm used to it. Or more accurately...your used to it." Serge said with a smile. He took the gun back from Helena and placed it back into his ankle holster. His handling of the weapon was much more natural than before, like a seasoned veteran rather than a nervous first timer.

Anja wrote:"Not every place Mr Yager but people want to comply so if you appear like you belong and especially if you appear to have some authority many are going to just comply."
Helena said and frowned.
Nicole wrote:'Not everywhere... but you can get quite far with "looking like you belong". The amount of times I've passed as an electrician, phone engineer or plumber...'

Serge simply shrugged. "Well the stories are fun to read at least."

Nicole wrote:'No.. think that's it.' giving a nod and heading back to grab her rucksack. 'Let's head out; who's driving?'

"Not it." he said quickly.

'Not everywhere... but you can get quite far with "looking like you belong". The amount of times I've passed as an electrician, phone engineer or plumber...'

Helena nodded at that.

No.. think that's it.' giving a nod and heading back to grab her rucksack. 'Let's head out; who's driving?'

"I can drive I have driven Lars truck before if you do not prefer to do it Nicole."
Bruce said.
"It can be a bit moody."

Nah I'm good. I'm used to it. Or more accurately...your used to it." Serge said with a smile. He took the gun back from Helena and placed it back into his ankle holster. His handling of the weapon was much more natural than before, like a seasoned veteran rather than a nervous first timer.

The Hermetic watched you for a moment then she nodded satisfied.
"As you wish Mr Yager."
She said as she steeled down into her seat.

(OOC: He have done pretty well so far, and also a Cabal is not really a combat unit, 9 members are a fairly large cabal but not huge, between 3 and 10 members are the norm with the average being 5 or 6.)

(OOC 2: Yes I got a message from forumation they are having a database problem they are trying to fix. By the way thanks to Strife we have a complete back up of the IC posts so if something ever happens to this forum we can start back up again on a new one. I have contact information for Warp and Strife but could I also get it for Jeremy and Nicole's player so that if that ever happens and know on wood it will not then I can write you guys with the adress to the new forum? My mail address is I got what I needed address removed.)

[Narim's room]

'It's also a perfect way to make sure waste of time and effort, when everybody's re-making the damn wheel. Yet again, this is something which the Union has one over us.'
"Some information need to be compartmentalized and some information are private but yes there should be a better system to share what information can be shared."
Narim said. "However at times one have to accept that one just do not need to know right at that moment."

"Even if we had very secure communications I would not tell you this unless there was some reason apparent, which there is not. If anyone is wasting time here it is you, with your arguing with us."

'Life is full of assumptions - as we never have all the intel regarding anything. Even going to the 7-Eleven for milk has the assumption it will be open and milk will be on sale.'

"Your assumptions are off base and your arguing is wasting your time."

"Ah, yes...that might be good."

"I can...for it is my greatest wish to attain this for myself." The spirit healer said and she finally looked up from her computer. I do not know if this is just a rumor though or real since no one have found Master Teomim's Grimoire." Cita said and she gave you a serious look. "At the time it had only been twenty years since the last Psycopomp was seen and the young Traditions where in a panic over their young member's souls speaking to them, so it could be Master Teomim wanted to find a way to bring them back...however without the grimorire no one knows."

He listened quietly with a pensive frown on his face, at first but then he looked worried. He shook his head to himself as he wrote: 'I'm not sure why you would wish to do that, though I understand you would gain knowledge but the cost seems high. Still, doing it artificially, forcing it, seems wrong.'

And if Narim have not gotten to much Paradox it can be safely drained, this is vulgar so I usually only offer this service on Horizon but I will make an exception, without Paradox stored in his soul the guardians of the Consensus can nto touch it, the spirit would be blind." She said.

"I suppose then you should speak with him about it, to see if it is an option to try." He frowned. "Thank you for your help. What else do you know of this Feather? Were they ever once a person?"

// Well, good time as any to make backup copies of things - it's a good idea to keep a copy of your own character sheets and NPC list though since I don't archive those that often aside from my own

[Narim's room]

"Ah, yes...that might be good."

"I will contact Master Nassa and ask for his aid in creating some of the medicine, I know you are private in this matter that way he never need to know it is for you."
Cita offered.

"It is a high price to pay but if I find a Psycopomp willing to join with me it is a price I am willing to pay...for the knowledge and to be able to..."
Cita begun then she stopped herself.
"Well anyway yes forcing the union against the Psycopomp's will is wrong, we have no right to do that."

"I suppose then you should speak with him about it, to see if it is an option to try." He frowned. "Thank you for your help. What else do you know of this Feather? Were they ever once a person?"

"I will speak with Narim about it but he might need some convincing if he fears I will get Paradox from it you know how he is."
The spirit healer said and sigh.
"Rune Feather? No not as far as I know, it takes on the form of a giant spider who steal the Avatar of the offending mage and bring it to her nest in the Umbra where she cocoon it. She never harms the Avatars though and using arcane connections between host and missing soul it is usually not to hard to find the nest and free the Avatar, no one have lost their Avatar permanently from Rune Feather yet though off course it is a terrifying and traumatic experience for the victim."

(OOC: Like we said in the chat please take 2 free exp for the emergency copying work and thank you.]
